- SALUTATIONS FROM THE DAPPER PANCAKE!!
Pikmin 4 has a BIG PROBLEM that I feel needs to be addressed right here and now. So join me, as I both explain what the big problem is and my reasonings for why I may believe this information is true. If I missed any creatures or my math was off, please let me know, for this video was put on the back burner for sometime....

The Jumbo Bulborb deserves a higher score for its attack. It has entirely unique animations, and its bite functions very differently. The regular Bulborb only bites once, if it misses it falls over. The Jumbo Bulborb bites THREE times, with side-to-side thrashing movements, and then falls over. It can eat significantly more Pikmin compared to the normal Bulborb, and has an entirely different vibe because of it, which shows off its aggressive nature perfectly.
The Jumbo Bulborb also wanders instead of sleeping like normal Bulborbs (except in Cavern for a King, the only place in the game you can see a Jumbo Bulborb laying down).
Their animations are different, timings are different, max Pikmin kills are different, and hitboxes are different. Just because the attack involves eating a Pikmin doesn't mean they should be considered the same attack. Its such a bare-bones simple minded way of looking at it.
I see no one talking about how good the enemy imitations at the start are so I will
Mr crabs for the funny crab man was the best (don't remember the actual name)
I think the lesser and greater spotted jellyfloats are closely related but different species, since it doesn't make sense for one to be endangered if they're the same. At least I don't think it would if the purple ones were just mature ones. So I'd give their 'reason for growth' category a higher score.
They are different species. The greater spotted jellyfloat is an invasive species and also the reason the lesser spotted jellyfloat is endangered.
15:24 The two types of Jellyfish aren't related at all. In Pikmin 2 it even mentions that one of them is an invasive species that's competing with the other and bringing it closer to extinction.
I was so disappointed by the jumbo bulborb, blizzarding blowhog, titan blowhog, master hop,and mama sheargrub not having new designs that I redesigned all of them
Where?
I'd like to see them. Any place they've been shared to?
Doesn’t he know the giant bread bug is a different species
Armored cannon larva aren't the same as horned cannon beetles
I think the mechanic for the giant breadbug should be reconsidered. The only reason is because the giant breadbug will charge attack you after the tug of war game. I'm not sure if it does damage though.
I’ve seen one kill a bulbear so it at least does damage to enemies
Nope
The giant Blowhogs should have looked weird and gross, or at least disproportionate in some way. I can understand having the same attack mostly, but the way they behave should probably have changed as well. (Like how the Jumbo Bulbears are super aggressive and use their attack in a different way.)
I liked the retroactive explanation for the variance in size for the emperor bulblax, but the effect didn't work for any other species. The Masterhop was literally no different besides the arena effect that wasn't even exclusive to it.
Gaint breadbugs aren't older breadbugs and are different species
A species can't grow into another species.
Gaint breadbugs:
Bulborb larva->Albino dwarf bulborb->bulborb
Evolution: allow me to introduce myself
@@AnAveragePurplePikminthat's not how evolution works
Cool video! Minor Correction: the jellyfloats (lesser and greater) and (giant and tiny) are actually different species! besides that, I love the funny style and scripting! big creatures do big stuff for sure!

YEAHHHH
I think my only real thing of note that like when it comes to the Blowhogs and Wollyhops, their one attack is specifically an aoe attack. Like the entire point of their attacks existing is to deny an area of space. So even though their bigger variants don't have any new moves, the sheer fact that they are bigger plays directly into the strengths of their attacks.
What better way to make an aoe attack more powerful and effective than to INCREASE THE AOE.
But other than that, I really don't have anything to say. And even then, I probably would have given both of the big variants like, 1 additional point due to this fact which really wouldn't have changed the overall outcome in the end so it wouldn't actually matter lol.
The Armored Cannon Larva isn’t the same species as the Horned Cannon Beetle, we don’t truly “know” what the Horned Cannon larva looks like, but it’s also clear that the Horned Beetle’s carapace isn’t as heavily built as the Armored Beetle’s being able to be frozen by Ice Blasts and blown up by Bomb Rocks
Bro that video is so fucjin sick with wich program do u edit with
The Aristocrab deserves a higher score because the offspring has the ability to hide buried in the ground, which is another difference between the two...
Also WHAT THE HECK? Why are you giving it a lower "reason for growth" score??? It literally says that it gains nutrients when buried in the ground, unlike the adult one that hunts! That is a massive difference and unique way for it to mature into adulthood! What more do you want from them!?!?
To my knowledge, I gave the Peckish Aristocrab a 5 in reason for growth, for out of all the creatures, it had the best reason by far. I did notice that in the video, I don't show the RFG score until I give it the final score.
The big aristocrab can bury underground too, in olimars story or whatever it's called there is one under a pull stick
@@frowner_and_co The pull stick is an entirely different game mechanic. Literally anything can be programmed to be pulled from it, including treasure.
It does not burst out of the ground when you approach like the small one does. You do not see its eyestalks poking out of the ground.
@@dapperpancake Ah okay... My mistake, I thought you ranked it lower.
What do you mean?! Both the Giant Breadbugs and normal Breadbugs aren’t same species. And neither are the Greater Spotted Jellyfloats and Lesser Spotted Jellyfloats are not same species! In fact with the latter one of them is an evasive species that cause the Greater to close endangerment. Plus you forgot to mention how the Giant Breadbug has a charging attack whenever they get hurt.
The Greater-Lesser indication tends to be given to denote subspecies. They're different species, the way the bulborb and orange bulborb are subspecies.
"Bug Eyed Crawdads aren't bigger versions of the Hermit Crawmads. It's a cousin, 1."
"Bloomcaps aren't bigger versions of Toady Bloysters. It's a cousin, 4."
Seriously, right next to each other?
Uhh, what did you did to my relative?

who's going to tell dapper that the armored cannon larva and the horned cannon beetle are not related? he says "from armored cannon larva to horned cannon beetle") and also the aristrocrab offspring ALSO has bubbles, and if anything it has more attacks than the peckish because it can pop a bubble it made to eat
The big breadbug was in pikmin 2
sure do love when the dapperest of pancakes uploads :D
also great video :)
I mean, just about all aspects of Pikmin 4 is a big problem.

I don't get why you mark the reason for growth so low when its because of maturity... That's just what animals _do._ What more do you want from them??? It would be stupid if all these similar creatures weren't actually related. Not everything can be a Dwarf Bulborb mimic. :/
Das pink
ya
I love you i think
The way you speak frustrates me
Edit: reminds me of bubble bass
In that case, I'll take a Double Triple Bossy Deluxe on a raft, four by four, animal-style, extra shingles with a shimmy and a squeeze, light axle grease, make it cry, burn it, and let it swim.
