Crank was awesome. Crank 2 was ok, a little too over the top and crazy for me but still watchable. I thought they would make a part 3 but for some reason they never did.
In reality, the drama back at the White House situation room would never be an issue. Absent the President, the VICE President is in-charge. Not the Secretary of State, Secretary of Defense or anyone else. Of course, this being the 1990s, they had to question the authority of a woman in charge (the Vice President)
That's what I wanted to recommend. This is (to me) part 3 of the Harrison Ford/Tom Clancy trilogy. Thankfully, each movie stands alone, but in order, you'd watch "Patriot Games" then "Clear and Present Danger" and THEN "Air Force One." PG is one of my all-time favorite action movies because Sean Bean is so brilliant as the biggest villain and the direct threat to Jack Ryan's family in multiple locations makes it incredibly intense.
And if the President or Veep were on a Navy plane or helicopter, it would have the callsign "Navy One" or "Navy Two"...I am nearly positive that it is based on the Armed Service that operates the aircraft. Someday, there will be a "Space Force One"...at least I hope to live that long. 👍

John McCain (sounds a lot like John McClane - Die Hard) was a 2008 nominee for president who was a Naval pilot and shot down. He was Vietnam POW and withstood 2 1/2 years of torture. I think he'd've been very much like Harrison Ford's character.
I wish McCain had a chance to be president, I think he'd have been a great one. One thing I liked about him, he was respectful to his opponent Obama: There's a clip at one of his rallies, one person said "I don't trust Obama, he's an Arab" McCain cut her off right away and said "No, ma'am. He's a good family man, a decent citizen. We just happen to disagree on some of the issues and that's what this campaign is about."
@@marcpower4167 I have no doubts about that quality of his character. I wonder how different things would be if McCain had been elected in 2000 instead of Bush. I think voters chose correctly in 2008, though.
As someone who has been on board Air Force One a number of times I can tell you that the escape pod is not real. That’s something Hollywood came up with. There’s a few other things that are wrong but they did capture the essence of the plane and all that. Great movie!
And now you see the context of what the president in scary movie 3 meant when he said I wonder what President Ford would do and looks at a painting of Harrison Ford
My view of "The mole" not revealing himself right away is this. I would assume that either he somehow met with the terrorists during his time at the White House, or was involved with the terrorists already and went undercover at the White House. Either way, that probably takes years to go undercover and recruiting someone already there is near impossible, so he would not want to reveal himself until there was no other option. There was a line in the movie that didn't make the cut, i believe the president said "I trusted you" and he said "So will the next president". All hope was lost for the current terrorist operation, but I'm sure others knew about it and he had done his job with this operation, which was to make sure they had access to the weapons cache on the plane. When there was no other option to get off the plane, being only one more could get rescued, he revealed himself, and if he had succeeded he could have said someone was still alive and killed the president and went on to work with the next president and the terrorists would still have an inside man. Idk, i may be totally off by this, but that's how i always took it.
He was definitely recruited because of his role. Heading the President's Secret Service detail is one of the most sought-after positions. It could be he was contacted while they were in Russia, as the whole operation seemed to be a response to General Radek's capture. As for his long-term plans, I think he was hoping the terrorists would get what they wanted and release everyone, and he would go on in his role with nobody the wiser. Once it started to fall apart, he had to maintain his reputation as a loyal agent. The only way out for him at that point was the terrorists getting what they want, which was virtually impossible by that time, or Air Force One being flown to safety. He only revealed himself when it was the only way to save his own life. While his motives aren't at all explored, it seems likely he was being paid for it. If he were a true believer in the cause, he'd likely have acted with less self-interest.
You guys should watch: The Hunt for Red October (1990 - Thriller/Action) another adventure of Jack Ryan (young Mr. President) by Tom Clancy, this time player by Alec Baldwin. An excelent film. You guys are awesome!
Great movie, with one of the best one-liners ever!! Ranked right up there with Arnold Schwarzenegger's "You're Fired!" Gary Oldman is one of the best actors today.
I'm always surprised that no-one these days seems to react to how bad the CGI was with the crashing of the plane. For 1997 it was bad, for today it's actually about average if the films of recent years are to be judged against it. What does that say about the effects industry?
*Interesting factoid: The actress playing Harrison Ford’s daughter is Liesel Pritzker (stage name Liesel Matthews). Her family owns, among other things, Hyatt Hotel chain. Her personal net worth is in the range of one and-a-half Billion dollars.*
For most of our history our president had been a general or some experienced military officer. After all , his primary role is the head of the military.
Gary Oldman used a similar accent when he voiced Viktor Reznov in Call of Duty. A 90's action film I recommend watching is Eraser, which stars Arnold Schwarzenegger
Best part at the end is that they don't tell the staff on the ground he's safe, they just request a re-designation.... to Air Force One. Patriotism! Squeee!
13:50 I always loved this bit from the "In the Shadow of Two Gunmen" from "The West Wing" regarding the murkiness of power transfer to the vice president: TOBY: He's gotta sign a letter giving the Vice President power? NANCY: Absent of the 25th, the Constitution doesn't give it to him unless the President is dead. TOBY: He's hemorrhaging and he's supposed to draft a memo? NANCY: Yeah. C.J.: I'm getting questions from Danny Concannon on it. NANCY: It gets more complicated if you'd read section 202 the National Securities Act of 1947. C.J.: Let's assume I haven't. NANCY: It says the Secretary of Defense will be the principal assistant to the President on all matters relating to national security. C.J.: And what does 'principal assistant' mean? NANCY: It doesn't specify. TOBY: Of course it wouldn't, 'cause that's an area of federal law where he'd want to have as much ambiguity as possible.
My favorite Harrison Ford movies: Working Girl (Melanie Griffith, sigourney weaver, Alec Baldwin, Joan cusack, and you will notice actors you recognize - before they were stars). Mosquito Coast (Helen Mirran, RIVER Phoenix)

There are others but I'm fair certain that y'all can agree that the speech before the big battle in Independence Day steals a lot of the show and indpires you. Which is why it's on the list. There are a decent number of reaction to this movie on YT. There are a handful of Dave and American President reactions (both are fantastic). Everyone has done Independence Day (including y'all). But no one does White House Down, and (only a handfull of) Olympus Has Fallen.
If you guys need help clarification over why the mole did it there is 2 sources. The novelization of the film which stated the mole of the secret service did it was for money. The second was in the script but it was cut cause "it took too long to tell.". But the mole was in the CIA and "lost a lot", and was angry at the American government and he knew terrorists from his days in the CIA and got them in while they did not know who he was to keep his identity a secret
7:00 In the real world everyone on the plane heard those gunshots, because even with suppressors, they are still f#cking loud. 😂😂 Still a great movie regardless.
Harrison Ford has said many times he is a LIBERAL. In 2016 Trump said he liked Ford in Air Force One. Harrison Ford replied "Donald, it's a movie. Things are not like this in real life, but how would you know?" 😂 Ford implied Trump is a moron who can't differentiate between a movie and reality.

John McCain (sounds a lot like John McClane - Die Hard) was a 2008 nominee for president who was a Naval pilot and shot down. He was Vietnam POW and withstood 2 1/2 years of torture. I think he'd've been very much like Harrison Ford's character.
He had no shot after the disastrous VP pick.
You all make good points.
19:59 really milking this milk joke 😂😂😂
This is one of my favorite movies! Thanks for the reaction! 😎
Awesome Movie and Work Guys, Thanks 👍👍👍 Greetings from Helsinki, Finland 🇫🇮🇺🇸🇫🇮🇺🇸🇫🇮🇺🇸
LOL @ 6:00 - that's like when I have to work during an England match and the customers all come in when it's finished
Both of you make good points.
19:59 - You funny S.O.B. I spit my drink on my keyboard!
You guys should watch: The Hunt for Red October
(1990 - Thriller/Action) another adventure of Jack Ryan (young Mr. President) by Tom Clancy, this time player by Alec Baldwin. An excelent film. You guys are awesome!
Gary Oldmans baddie is ruthless in this one. You shot an unarmed woman!
Big fan guys! A massive ‘WOAH!!💪🏻💪🏻 from 🇦🇺
Great movie, with one of the best one-liners ever!!
Ranked right up there with Arnold Schwarzenegger's "You're Fired!"
Gary Oldman is one of the best actors today.
You know after a situation like this, the country would quickly revisit that two term limit for president.
Gotta say it’s a new generational low when the the most expectations for the president is not to fall down and up the stairs everywhere he goes. Lmao
I JUST watched this movie! This reaction timing couldn't be more perfect!!
Her personal net worth is in the range of one and-a-half Billion dollars.*
but she only made 2 to 3 movies. It doesn't bother anyone if she's magnanimously rich, nobody knows her readily.

And?
@@SciTrekMan so shove it up thy hole for simping
For most of our history our president had been a general or some experienced military officer. After all , his primary role is the head of the military.
This movie came in handy for Oldman when he voiced Sgt Reznov in the COD games
Gary Oldman used a similar accent when he voiced Viktor Reznov in Call of Duty. A 90's action film I recommend watching is Eraser, which stars Arnold Schwarzenegger
Best part at the end is that they don't tell the staff on the ground he's safe, they just request a re-designation.... to Air Force One.
Patriotism! Squeee!
This movie is a certified classic. So badass.
I'd vote for Harrison Ford too! And Gary Oldman is amazing, he can play all sorts of ages and characters, equally convincing. 💙
That henchman that caught the president on the phone is Andrew Divoff. He played the Djinn in the wishmaster.
The President from the movie "Dave" would be great too, even though not an action movie
13:50 I always loved this bit from the "In the Shadow of Two Gunmen" from "The West Wing" regarding the murkiness of power transfer to the vice president:
TOBY: He's gotta sign a letter giving the Vice President power?
"Or, were going to replace the fuel with milk..." 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Fuckin Christ....
Very entertaining movie. For Harrison Ford my favorites are the original Star Wars (of course), Blade Runner, Indiana Jones, Witness, The Fugitive.
My favorite Harrison Ford movies:
Working Girl (Melanie Griffith, sigourney weaver, Alec Baldwin, Joan cusack, and you will notice actors you recognize - before they were stars).
Mosquito Coast (Helen Mirran, RIVER Phoenix)
Micheal Douglas in the American Presdent was pretty great.
Have you reacted to Snakes on a Plane? I think you would like it✈🐍 How did I miss that incredible line the first time around - The package is wrapped!😂
I like Snakes on a Plane, too 😂!.
The 90s gave us Presidents Marshall and Whitmore. What a time. 😂
I'd like to think Leslie Neilsen become president after Harrison Ford, a little tie in to Scary Movie 3 when they had Ford's picture on the wall.
When I think of president movies. I have 6 that immediately come to mind.
1. Airforce One.
2. Independence Day.
3. Dave.
4. The American President.
5. White House Down.
6. Olympus Has Fallen.
Fun fact: Hartison Ford is four months older than Joe Biden and three years older than Trump.
There needs to be an age limit on Presidency so you can get a chance of having one like this!
One of all the time favorites. Please react to Blue Thunder and Olympus Has Fallen and its sequels London Has Fallen and Angel Has Fallen
Another movie from the 1990s to check out is Arlington Road. It stars Jeff Bridges and Tim Robbins.
Still a great movie regardless.
That first hostage that got shot? He knew what he was in for. Call him hot sh*t but he gave everyone another few minutes...
Stairs can't take him down... lmfao. 😂😂😂 Even Canada gets it.
One of my FAVORITE MOVIES!! Harrison Ford is great!!
Yet another good reason to respect Harrison Ford.
Too bad Harrison can't see the current president for the moron he is.
