PSP was a good console but it getting hacked so hard and quick destroyed the game market for it. It's a rare case where piracy actually killed a console. PSP console sales were really good but game sales were really bad.
I was part of the problem as I only bought one game for it and used it for emulation. It was great for SNES games.

I only play PPSSPP in my phone, since mobile games sucks
not everybody has a pc that could emulate playstation game's especially ps3 game's i know how to do it my pc just can't handle it this is why i want backwards compatibility on modern playstation's
@@miniboi134 sure maybe not ps3 games, but any computer made within the last decade should be able to emulate at least up to the PS1.

basically he's trying to slowly transition the gaming and media stuff away from knowledgehub and into this channel because knowledgehub has a lot of dead subscribers, so knowledgehub is going to be for educational stuff and this channel for other stuff.

@@joelbaker2551 I find that really dumb I don't ever go to twitter. Why dont channels announce on things like this on the platform they are on. If not a small video at least a community post.
Maybe you can release it unlisted, so it doesnt show up on your channel, but people that are interested (like me!) Can still view it. Post the link for it in a community post explaining the video isnt accurate, or in this video description, if you want.

I have a bunch of PlayStation consoles, ps1,ps2,ps3,ps4, and ps5, but still they have to fix some kind of backwards compatibility on ps5. Psnow is not the problem solver since you need good internet. They could like use the ps3 discs as a key to confirm an emulation on the ps5 for example. I’m not the best at this stuff, but I really hope they make alternatives than psnow.
Also those crash bandicoot and ratchet and clank live action videos are so goofy and awesome.
There is a video explaining that the PS5 is software locked from playing ps1-ps3 disc based games for now. It can still read the discs but it's just that the software from inside the system is blocking it from being accessed. It's only a matter of time before they announce a surprise update. Consoles are dead, Nintendo is the only survivor by making their consoles unique. Playstation and Xbox now are just PCs and nearly identical.
I don't see a point buying a new console that costs nearly as much as a new PC when I could use that money to upgrade my computer and always have better specs than consoles.
And there's no good exclusives.

Didn't know that you made your own music for this video, it's really good and didn't feel out of place.
I actually didn't think that yeah, there is a kind of a cycle of when console companies do good one generation, the next generation can fail hard. So I am interested in how this generation will play out as it does seem like the console companies are more reactive to fan outcry this generation at least to me. I think we can see this in how Sony reacted to what was mentioned in this video and when Microsoft tried doubling Xbox gold's price, they reversed it when people got mad. I do also wonder though how long will this last as we are still early in the generation and there is so many ways for these companies to screw up hard.
I only ever liked the original playstation and ps2, sue me.

While ms does still have some shit they need to flush, 100%, a COMPLETE reversal in player relations from both companies. Xbox 20th anniversary was also a real ass celebration, we got the last batch of back-compat games, an interactive museum, some free backgrounds and a free documentary. Meanwhile all PS got a fucking system theme for the 25th anniversary, means nothing if I can't PLAY old games to celebrate the anniversary smh

Is the PS5 region free? The PS4 is and importing Japanese games is like $10 extra, so even if Sony was going to restrict 3rd party dudes internationally, it wouldn't make them impossible. Basically, I'll riot if Super Robot Wars goes away.

The Gran Turismo games have been about cutting edge graphics for their current console, and about emulating the look of real life, and real cars. To someone who has no nostalgia for the older games, seeing them, it would be confusing as to why you would want what in his mind is the same game, but with blocky graphics.
