What I see is slightly bigger than a mite, but looks like a spider.the plant was just purchased at a Walmart, and I strongly advise never buy plants from Walmart, but this thing may be a loss.i took good cuttings, and hopefully they all root and I'll just start a entirely new one.lots of leaves rotting, stems rotting,it don't look like it can be saved.but no idea what bugs are in it.i got it outside to prevent it spreading to my other good plants

thank you SO much for this video!! it's so difficult to find anything about what spider mite damage looks like on succulents, and this has been so helpful! i'm not sure if i'm dealing with spider mites or another kind of mite (because it looks a bit different), but the damage is the same - thank you for showing what it looks like.

Such a BRILLIANT video Denise :-D spider mites are the pain of my life as well as mealies, they are so awful, I find the Spider mites love my peanut cacti and Rebutias and my Pachyphytum cacti and Crassulas and they are so hard to get rid of, I had to shower all mine this morning again with Neem again LOL! I am convinced they are superbugs :-D thank so much for sharing and sending you an abundance of love and happiness and PLANT POWER to Canada for a BRILLIANT Tuesday today XXXXXX

This is great information. I don't recall where Inread or saw it but apparently spider mites love dry conditions so washing them out is a great idea. I hope you got rid of them. Thanks for sharing😊👍❤.

Yep they sure do! Honestly if you have a small plant repeated daily washings may be the best way to eliminate some mites. 💚

@@giventogrow8533 Thanks so much😊. I see some webs in my garden but dont see mite damage or the lil mites. I do see some larger garden spiders so I'm hoping that's all it is. However, I have seen some slug or snail damage and not sure what to do. I am going to do some research. Any suggestions? My manager says lil cups of beer help😆😆😆. I'm thinking for the slugs or me even though I don't drink.

Hi Denise! Thanks for sharing this video! Did you have any luck with getting rid of the mites on these succulents? I watched your previous video on using alcohol on the cacti as well, was that effective? I have some succulents infested with spider mites that I've tried treating with both alcohol and neem oil, they keep coming back!

I have a succulent that looks like it’s blistering and where the blisters have been the area is turning brown. I have the plant under my shaded porch and is never in direct sun. I have two other succulents one in the same pot as the affected one and one in a separate pot right next to it that aren’t showing the same signs. Any idea what it could be? TIA

You can definitely save these succulents. I wouldn't throw them away, if it was me😊Try using neem oil or insecticidal soaps, they can really help control them easily. Give it a try.. you have nothing to lose if you're going to toss them anyway. I live in Florida and it's really tough to grow here, we get all kinds of bugs but my succulents stay healthy using neem oil and insecticidal soaps. I wish you the best of luck getting these guys back to health.

So sad! I feel so bad about it. I did toss the extras and took cuttings of one plant in there. Glad I have more
Of these plants but I always feel bad throwing plants out 😕 If I had a huge garden or even if it was summer and they could go outside it would be different. We are getting a snow storm here later today though 🤣 a tad too early for outside plants. Have a great day! Thanks for watching. 🌵💚

Be careful when using Neem oil. I used it at the advice of a local garden center to treat spider mites and while it killed the mites, it took my pretty healthy plant with it.

Oh man that sucks!!! I’ve had spider mites before my and yes they are tiny red moving specs ☹️ however that was before I had a house full of plants. It’s so hard to say throw them out but maybe you should ..... or not just save them 🤣.

Oh man. I have a tiny apartment and packed with plants. Thankfully in my experience spider mites pick plants they find extra tasty and stick to them. Where mealies just get everywhere! They also don’t fly which helps. The down side is absolutely the size and that they look like a speck. I have had webs on a few plants with spider mites in the past but I had a plant with mites in my collection since the August (threw that one out immediately bcit was so so so bad!) it was crawling with them and there was no webbing. Same with these plants in this video. No webs. Not being able to count on seeing that as a sign is frustrating because when you get into keeping plants that’s the information you get about spider mites. This has been a huge learning experience and I can’t wait to get my plants outside! Lol thanks for watching Natty. Have a great day 🌵💚

You’re very welcome. Sorry I couldn’t shoot them moving. These guys were just too small. If I find anymore infected plants I will be sure to document it. 😉

Save and give away once clear of bugs.
