No Gi highlights from my recent grappling industries tournament in Phoenix, Arizona.
At the beginning of the day I jumped into the Absolute division and may have been the lightest competition. My first opponent was around 200lb, the second opponent was a 310lb strongman power lifter, the 3rd guy was around 220lb and my opponent in the final was 260lb.
I really enjoy the Grappling Industry tournaments because they have a round robin format which guarantees you many matches for the price of admission. So if there are 5 people in your bracket you will have at least 4 matches. So it's a great way to get valuable mat time and get that experience needed to know how to deal with the competition anxiety. They have Gi and No Gi divisions and are open to all ages.
