Please go tend to your wounds properly, get nurse to clean it up, disinfection shots properly to prevent Tetanus, in thai it's called 'บาดทะยัก' (Bahd-tha-yak) coz the metal rusted rod that scrape you might have bacteria and it takes days or weeks to infest in your blood system, then it is fatal! Not preaching just genuinely concerned.
Pai used to be a small cozy little village that people would go to unwind. It has lost its charm with the invasion of the hippies. Good thing, there's another village that's similar to what Pai was in the 2000s. It's only known to Thai and Japanese tourists at the moment (a Japanese UA-camr goes there a few years back). So, i won't tell. I want to keep it that way 😛
Oh wow! Considering you are Thai (right?), I am sorry for the invasion haha, but im so glad that you still have places to go. I can certainly see how Pai would of been absolutely magical some time ago. 😊
@@JustAlexVidotto yes. I'm Thai. Well... Half German, but I don't count that as I've never been to Germany, can't speak German, don't have a clue what Germany's like. You have nothing to be sorry for! You're not a hippie (are you?)
One thing I've noticed about this video is that this guy is very clumsy and if he's not more careful he's in for a world of hurt when crossing the streets in thailand.
How would you reply if a local want to chat with you that Thailand has a hidden name which is Tai land. Because such gorgeous patch of the land that may grew organic food for the people(I know that Chiang Mai has been a mixed bag of local farmers that grew arabica and people who are growing cash crop regardless of the soil leaching pesticides) doesn't deserved the name that gives the neuron of "thighs" and sometimes it sounds cringe to someone naturally? Will you respect that local's ingenuity or would there be something else?
That is super interesting, I would love to have a chat about the history or current situation of Thailand with any locals, I always love speaking to locals about it. But that is super interesting to me actually. 😊
I definitely should’ve done some more research about Pai because as soon as I arrived today I totally felt the vibe, that weird and unsettling vibe 🙄 canceled all my plans and back to Chiang Mai tomorrow
Same here just got got here and already leaving within 1 day. Pretty much the same reason as you vibe is off, way too many tourists, prices are higher than unusual not digging the hippie vibes either and dosent feel authentic
Pai is a beautiful place and a lot of great people - and all the local foreigners (many who have been there for 20 years) don't behave that way. I'm not sure hippies is the right term. They are just uninformed travellers who have little respect and in most cases the locals will put up signs to stop them coming into shops, cafes and bars unless they put clothes and shoes on.
Oh really! That is actually super interesting, because if im honest, I didnt see a single "hippie" above the age of (im guessing) mid 30's behaving the way I described, so that makes sense. Thank you for clarifying that actually. Also I agree, hippie wasn't the best term haha, I just didn't know how to describe them. My bad.
Hi Alex, like your vibe and the editing on your videos. I would just like to offer a bit of feedback if I may. Personally I would prefer a lean towards actual content of you doing stuff and see more of the places that you are vlogging about and less of the up close, 'lets chat' dialogue. I think the Dialogue is good but for me, I think you should switch the balance a bit towards more footage of your experience and a bit less of you describing it. If that makes sense. Not trying to put you down just being honest about a channel that I would like to see grow into something great. 🙏
Oh wow, thank you for the feedback, sometimes I feel like I am doing it to much, so that makes sense, honestly my videos just depend on my mood haha, sometimes I have a lot to say other times Ill just show what I feel. But thank you so much, ill take it onboard for sure 😊
Watched couple of videos of pai. What I hated is what u mentioned. If I visit a place, it’s to experience the local food and it’s traditional. I saw that there’s a circus setup by those farangs. That’s really a joke.
Try not to let the local sees you kicking their rice plant brother, I did it once when I was a kid pffff the hate you get for disrespecting them rice is insane.

@@JustAlexVidotto I told you on the last video it was full off weed and hippies 😁 I don't care if people smoke, each to their own, but at least act like a normal person 🤦
Pai has always been a hippie town and the locals got along with them just fine, also a lot of thai hppies. The boom happened right after covid. there are less hippies and more party people looking for similar fun to places like the south. Its like people come for tipsy tubing only. You also probably only stayed in the city center.
I won`t argue with that. Although Thais welcome all foreigners, there are some categories of them in our eyes too. We all might have some favorites 😉That was a refreshing video, thank you 🙏 Btw, I hope you`re okey after that fall, and good to go for your next video 😊😊
