.....Never mind the fact that Hollywood's self-censorship for the CCP has rendered most movies into unwatchable garbage.
That's capitalism for you - companies have no morals and will do whatever it takes to increase profits
WOW! It's almost as if we need a state authority, moral guardian or union to safeguard Hollywood from CCP influences!
When they place profits over principles and people, they then deserve neither. Disney, DC, Marvel, etc. All have all been compromised in their integrity and liberty.
I boycott movies that compromise quality for quantity.
@@JaneDoe-tn8tn yeah Jane, and you can compare their profits to your profits, and see how effective is your boycott and how significant your voice is. It's almost like people would need to organize into some group of people to have as much power as another group of people in a corporation... maybe call it a shmomerment or a shumion or something.
i always find it funny conservatives get mad at companies for being "woke" Theyre just doing it for money, thats how capitalism works. The system you love so much creates cancel culture

As an international fan who grew up watching Zhao Wei on TV, this is kinda frustrating
why's that? international folks could still look her up without censorship

Yes, she has a bad reputation in China, but as an outsider you love her.
Shes a terrible person. Committed insider trading scheme together with his husband and friends that got bunch of people bankrupt
As an Overseas Chinese who bornt and raised outside China, also grew up watching Zhao Wei, I hold no love for her just as my fellow Chinese in China. Why ?
Because she once wore the infamous Fascist Japanese flag (Rising Sun Flag) as a "dress" on the catwalk show just for money...despite knowing what those flags mean to her own Chinese people...

I find it interesting most comments on this video are focused on "perceived" unfairness in treatment of the idol crlebrities rather than the damaging impact social media + extreme idol fandom has had on China's children and youth. This report and others online state that children literally spent every waking hour following their favorite idols in China before the crackdown. That's INSANE. Children didn't need this kind of mind pollution. Their lives were being destroyed. And commenters are more concerned about wealthy tax evaders and celebrity idols than China's children? WTH, people?🤯
The USA is finally starting to implement similar crackdown measures as our nation sees youth suicide and cyber bully levels increase. Our teen girls...snd boys...suffer serious body image problems from what they experience thru social medi and trying to emulate their favorite influencers. Our kids are also excessively attached to video games. Thankfully, we in the USA don't have the crazed celebrity fandom happening. I have yet to see "Swifties" (aka Taylor Swift fans) use their collective power to cancel anyone other than Donald Trump. Trump deserves to be cancelled because he's trying to destroy the USA. "Behives" (aka Beyonce's fandoms) only attack irrationally when white racists attack the singer.
I hope the USA citizenry continues being rational and at arms length when it comes to being fans of our celebrities. And, more importantly, that we Americans don't lose focus on the impact this cumulative unhealthy online activity is having on our children/youth and their mental health. TY for this insightful news report.💯👍
