Hi Samantha. I know this is 7 years since your posting but I still watch a lot of your videos. I love the bird sounds in the background. No apology needed.
Absolutely fascinating how the blends go from murky to clear so to speak. The second one looked like a beach scene. I'm so glad i found you before staring out on my journey of polymer clay. Now off to the next video. Thank you🤗🇬🇧
I love your tutorials, you are so well spoken. You explain everything in such a way that it is useful info for the beginner and the expert! And I really love how you were able to maintain such composure with with the “chirping” outside your window. I would have either been screaming or at the very least I would ended in a fit of hysterical giggles.
I laughed when you shared how you have up on your first. I did the same. I'm retired on a small income so thinking I'd wasted my clay brought me to tears. Lol
I've been making polymer clay items for many years but never ventured to do canes and blends. Your video convinced me to try my first skinner blend. Your videos are so easy to follow and you give such great tips. Thank you so much. Can't wait to try something else new!(Cockatoos no problem!!)
Hi Samantha! I’m new to your videos and have to say you are a marvelous, easy to listen to, easy to understand teacher!!! It is such a pleasure to watch n listen to you! And I’m also happy that you have not cluttered up your videos with music. That makes for a distraction. I love the sound of your birds, it’s relaxing and not at all over-riding of your instruction! If anyone complains, disregard the critique! 🤓😊😉 Thanx for all your hard work and generosity!! Are you in Australia, South Africa or UK? A “ Number One Fan” you go girl!
Hi Samantha, its Straya love. Noisy birds are all the go. Lol. I am in the process of binge watching your channel, birdsnall. Sherie Rodrigues from Brisbane.😍
That is too cool! I would love to see a bigger color run. Do you have a video showing that? Hey, I love the Cockatoos! They are just wanting to be in the next vid! Great tutorial Samantha, thank you! Pam 😊 BTW, you are a great teacher! Thanks again! 👏👏
Great video ty. 5 o'clock my macaws start talking yelling about 20 minutes they say it's time to come in to the rest of the flock but there is no other flock.
could you tell us what pasta machine you use? I would like to purchase one and would really appreciate knowing which one you use. Thank you for these wonderful videos.
In this tutorial I used a cheap $20 one I got off ebay. I have since upgraded to a Lucy clay machine due mainly to conditioning large amounts of clay for stamp orders. However, I used the cheap $20 to $30 ones for around 7 years.
I didn’t realize anyone gave Samantha a thumbs down! There’s no reason for that whatsoever!! 😡 She’s a delightful young lady and an excellent artist and teacher.
I find the birds very particular; must have something that bothered them, smart as they are. Here in Canada, we don't have cockatoos but ravens who can act this way...Very special to hear that, on the other part of the world.
I love your tutorials and they have inspired me to try new things with my old hobby. I need a pasta machine. Can I use a kitchen pasta machine? Please answer my maybe stuppid question. Thank you so much en wishing you lots of succes. I'm your fan!
Love all your videos!! Very clear and easy to follow, with lovely ideas and designs too; among the best quality tutorial videos I have seen on You Tube. Love the website too, very professional. I just want to know, is the square cutter you use in this video the same kind as you sell in your Etsy shop? Keep up with the good work ... I have signed up to your Patreon account. Many thanks, Emma 😊
Jessama Tutorials Many thanks. Hope you get it listed soon... will look out for it! It's a great idea; not cheating but using one's initiative. Why not make life easier?! 😊

Ahahaha that is hilarious, those birds sound like they're being murdered, lol. I loved this tutorial, and please, show the cockatoos doing what they do....your accent sounds like NZ, but the cockatoos say Australia.
Michelle Adamchak she sounds like South African or Zimbabwe to me. I am Australian, her vowels are to soft and round for Aussie. We have flatter vowel sounds. NZ have clipped vowels which she doesnt. I could he wrong but I think I am right. She could actually live anywhere in Australasia but originally be from SA or Zim. She could also have the parrots in an aviary not in the wild.
@@PetroicaRodinogaster264 very valid points, I love to her that type of an accent, it is very lyrical in cadence and tone, I just love it her it spoken, shes so soft spokes an a very soothing orator. I love her tutorials shes so talented.

I love the birds talking, it makes the tutorial more lively👍
My family and I are JUST getting into it. I know this video is 5 years old, but know it's still being used and helpful ❤️👌
Thank you. I need it to learn this method. You explain it very well. I love animals, so you don't have to apologize. 😊
I raised a cockatoo, I laugh at how silly they are. Love that background sounds as much as your great tutorials.

Great. I'm so happy this was helpful. Let me know how it goes. :D
I love the birds. Must be mating season.maybe someday you can include them in a video.
Sherralie Berry-Majeski, oh yes! I love birds! Pouring Your Heart Out includes her wild birds sometimes in her acrylic pouring videos.
@@grayscreations7004 yes she does! Julie at Pouring Your Heart Out is another great teacher, she’s in Australia 😄

Thank you! I wondered how to do this!
Made first cane with this video. Awesome!!! May I ask what setting you used for the 4 1/2 square?
I used my thickest setting which is about 4mm thick.
just as I was thinking what in the heck is going on in the background, you answered it 😂
I love cockatoos, always talk to them 😆
i now have all your video learning alot but cant fine the cutter that you use please were do you get them at

Hello! Can you teach us how to do a skinner blend without the machine?
Thank you so much! 💓
Cockatoos are always noisy :) , how many do you have or are they wild ?
They're all wild. They roost in a tree outside.
Jessama Tutorials wild?? Wow!! I just thought you had several as pets!! My mom has owned many parrots in the past and it sounded like her house lol!
Jessama Tutorials and here I felt sorry for them being locked up in cages. Ha ha.
What do you use to work on? It looks almost like a ceramic tile.
I use a ceramic tile. A glass tile will also work.
Thanks for the video was great!!! As for the parrots no problem you just had another viewer all curious.... My cat
😍😍❤️❤️
What pasta machine setting (thickness) are you starting out with to make these skinner blends?
I'm on the thickest setting It's a number seven on my machine. Sorry I forgot to mention it.
Jessama Tutorials Thanks for the prompt response. Love your content, keep up the good work.
Thank you.
Samantha you did mention what setting you used the thickest setting
What size is the square cutter? And does it matter what size the squares are?
It doesn't really matter what size the square is. It really depends on how much clay you want to use. The more clay you want, the large the square.
I love the parrots
How do you know which end of 3-part to put into pasta machine first.?
So long as all three colors are touching the pasta machine rollers at once when you roll it though, any of the two sides will work.
Audio bombed by the cockatoos :-) But the video was great. Easy to follow for a beginner. Great technique. Thank you.
I’ve got a Brazilian conure and plum head parakeet- they shout without a reason too 😂

How large The square...
7cm by 7cm.
j'adore bravo c'est super :)
are the birds outside ??
Yes. They are wild birds in the trees outside. :D
Give a measurement it’s very difficult to know and everything doesn’t have a good size
OMG thanks for share it
Cockatoo massacre in the background lol
Had to laugh with the background noise. I have the same problem with rainbow lorikeets, every sunrise and sunset.
