This game was the first on my whislist. I love it. First day, 7 hours spent and plenty to research and explore :)
I remember KatherineOfSky playing this one, but it was not released back then. So I added it to my wishlist. And now it's released! Cool!
I have to check her let's play out, like her style too. She used those small steps right behind the walls, not sure if Splatty saw those... But he's always entertaining so...
This game is so awesome ! pure eye candy and incredible power fantasy and this is just for the beginning I'm so curious to see how crazy things can get further into the campaign.

Still dying at the fact splatter put the "Building that requires a lot of open space around it" inside of his cramped main base surrounded by other buildings.
i do not believe this as made by indie studio. It has more polish than last 5 AAA games relased together. Not only that, it looks awesome.

You should set up your walls to 3-4 layers deep. You won't need them for these early attacks but later on you'll be glad you have the extra protection.
I love this game. It does everything right. One of the few games I actually managed to finish playing these days, 3 times! My only problem with it is that during the missions where the yeast root is present, the game lags quite significantly once the yeast takes over the entirety of the map. I lowered my shadow definition, and it helps a little, but still lags. I understand why it lags, since the game tracks every yeast sprite, which by the time it covers the whole map must have reached tens of thousands of sprites at the same time. But still, I wish they would address this matter before launch.
By lag, I mean the FPS went down, not that it stuttered. You do need quite a powerful rig to play this game, though. Don't play this game with integrated graphics.

I demand to know more about that building's quantum entanglement template matrix.
It's an advanced super computer
it requires a flux capacitor to function..
So the short version is: your basically copying the build templates from an archive back on the homeworld. But you have to do it with the bandwidth of a 56k dial up connection. So it's gonna take a while no matter how beefy your rig is.

Looks like a really fun base building game that I could get lost in. As soon as you put up the turrets it made me want to play fallout 4 again.

35:32 Indeed sure is a pretty game. Was never a fan of the isometric view or Warcraft (1&2) style games but I have made a few exceptions. 35:50 "Hawken" Nope never heard of that one. I never played Mechwarrior either but I did play Metaltech: Earthsiege & Earthsiege 2 back in the ancient days. I had a blast in those games hundreds of hours. By the time I was done, I was over the whole mech thing and never did get around to Mechwarrior.

Splattercat, if you are into audio books and SciFi, a series similar to this game premise is Bobiverse (series title) by Dennis E. Taylor. Im not a huge sci-fi fan but its a good listen. If you are a Trekkie or w/e Star Wars fans call themselves, you will get a lot of the humor too.
technically we didn't waste our planet.. according to in-game lore there was an eruption at Yellowstone (national park) which is part of a chain of volcanoes that could have led to a super-eruption and *that* is what led to the uninhabitability of the earth. They only reference the Yellowstone eruption, the rest is theory among the science community.

30 mins of video. 20 mins of actual game play. Most of the time I don't have any real idea of what to expect in the game. Beyond graphics and the first couple mins of game play... I like the vids, but honestly I have bought as many games that I wish I had not bought as games that I am glad I did. Based on these videos...

I hate how mining by hand sound so squishy. Totally an evil robot voice. Heavy class mechs are usually used for defences. They don't move around. But can blow you sky high.
Reminds me of the mech farmers from love, death, and robots
