I knew about the update, but when I saw the DLC? I've never clicked so fast. I have the hard copy for PS5 as well and the remapping ability is going to be an absolute game charger for that system. I'm so hyped I just bought the Art book as well, I have the one that came with my PS5 Everspace 2 Stellar Edition, but I couldn't help myself, had to have the larger single release Art book. You guys are re-igniting what space games could and should be, a massive salute to all the Rockfish team! o7
Yep I'd been holding out on the new update to play due to some issues. Tried it yesterday before the update only to find out it was my old Razer Huntsman v3 keyboard that was causing issues with the system travel orbiting camera. I guess it was due to the way it emulates xinput and directinput devices? Don't know. Moved to a Mountain Everest Max and now I have no issues. Thanks for the update, looking forward to seeing what you have in store next.

My wife plays some popular MMOs, I showed her what was in the supporter pack and she told me to buy it! She was like, not gonna lie I don't like space games but this looks soo cool lol... made me feel warm and fuzzy inside. She also agreed it was ok to get the artbook which I'm pretty excited about, I bought the PS5 hard copy which came with an artbook and that was impressive, I can't wait to comb through the quality pages of the full sized artbook...

For an Oldschool Science Fiction Gamer which has Grown up with Privateer and the X2/X3 Classics this game was awesome. It came close to the Old Feeling but was something new. I like it very much to Play trough the Story and all the Species. Only things to mention to hard was that some Collectables where a needle in Hay Stick to find. The Race was really Hard for Platin and the Shadow Creature in a Solar Storm killed my Controller and my nerves. So Keep up the Work maybe for more Dlc or a Part three and Thanks for this Release from a Big Syfy Fan. 👍👍👍
This is the content the game needs. While having a nice/ impressive story is cool, I can only imagine how much resources it takes to really flash one out. While the story was ok, it was really the game world and unique combat that made me enjoy this game so much. Also there really is no competition for this type of game, so having a focus on replay ability is the direction I hope the expansion will also take. 👍
Very cool!! I started the game a few days ago and I'm really enjoying it! I really liked the puzzles, they are very challenging. I'm playing it on my Steam Deck and it's cool! 🎉🎉
I played it on steam deck in early access, I actually no longer have a steam deck now, but the fact that they're supporting it and it's even playable makes this game awesome in my book. I've got the Steam version as well as the PS5 version, and with remapable keys a possibility now I may find myself indulging in more of the cinematic experience my TV can provide!

Installed update for the pc game version and reflex and dlss frame generation are disabled and says reduced latency not supported. On a 4070 ti super and drivers are up to date
With the Game Pass version we are only able to offer DLSS 3, FSR 3, XeSS and TSR upscaler options. Frame Generation & Reflex technology isn't something we're able to include on Game Pass. /Garry

The Companion system is more about the perks that they can offer you, rather than their abilities as pilots with the exception being Elek. Your character is the main focus of the storyline and your personal abilities, the companions and their perks are there to enhance that journey as additional buffs. /Garry

@@ROCKFISHGames thats why is said offline would be fine too. Its kinda frustrating to turn ALL the time cause ALL enemies have only one target and thats us. Just a little AI-crew would do good enough. i know we got 1 ship that already has that kinda somehow, but it forces u to play only that ship and it already would fit in with the story.

Hey. Not sure if you've managed to get into Discord but I'll post the reply here as well. Currently the only similar issue we've seen with the same error was due to the game trying to run on an iGPU, rather than a dedicated GPU. Usually this can happen with laptops if it selects onboard graphics, rather than a discrete GPU to run the game, but it can also happen on desktops where there's an iGPU built into the CPU. If you can check to make sure your system is trying to run on a GPU and not onboard graphics. /Garry
I was initially skeptical of this update. And very mistaken. But overall - it actually brought me some fun. I didn't think much of rifts, but either you have given players too much power, or 2000 Rifts on Symphony-WotF-Last Rites Scout are so easy that I STILL don't need to use Scout's Ult. And I was afraid that I'd have to. However... your game already had despicably bad performance compared to fine-wine UE4 Everspace 1. And now you've ruined it completely. I don't know what is wrong, I won't even rant too much about Lumen being an RT-like cancer. But I used to run your game(during campaign and EA) at 60-90fps(barring 2 certain cancer areas in Zharkov) at HIGH-EPIC. Now I'm running Low-Med. LOW ****ING MED. And I still can't get above 60fps where it matters. And it matters in Rifts. You just had to do them ALL GLOWY AND SPARKLES, right? Thank goodness lazy Scout gameplay exists. I ain't buying a GPU for this game to enjoy smooth gameplay(if it's even possible) in dogfights with melee\semi-melee ships. But I will be buying a paid DLC if you finally make one xD

Это очень сильно влияет на геймплей и производительность. Если бы у нас были останки кораблей после каждого уничтожения, то игра работала бы очень плохо, поэтому в качестве выбора дизайна и производительности, а не реализма, мы сделали так, чтобы корабли испарялись после уничтожения. Мы скорее аркадный мародер, шутер, чем реалистичный космический симулятор. /Garry

Не думаю что какой-то один остов коробля сильно влиял бы на производительность) Ну или я пока не дошёл до момента в игре где придётся уничтожать десятками линейные корабли и корветы) Эх, как не хватает той эпичной музыки и колониального флота) Вообще у меня много вопросов касательно геймплея, после первой части. Но думаю я просто должен принять как должное. Может потом составлю список)
On PS5, frames drop to 40 fps after this update, unfortunately the gameplay is terrible, previously the game was running at a constant 60 fps, unfortunately for me it is unplayable at this point.
Combat seem still giving the impression of a cursor game with a ship kinda following it rather than actualy piloting a shiip. Its really too bad this particular part is so bad

Whilst controls won't suit everyone, we're pretty happy with how our games control methods work and so are a lot of players. With customisation and rebinding available for all platforms we feel there's plenty of choice for players to fine tune their controls to their preference. /Garry

In the best case scenario ppl deal with it because your game has other quality.
It is more than what AAA devs would offer. For the technical improvements that they Rockfish achieved, AAA devs would launch a DLC or even a stand alone. Be grateful mate.
Ugh, sorry but I hated this! Kill hundreds of enemies to drop a shield for a few seconds which is only enough time to take a few percent of the beacons health.... after 30 minutes I finally died. Not fun at all...
Hey RussKarlberg, any particular Incursion level that you're struggling with? Level 3 can be tough, but is there anything in particular that we might be able to advise you with as we're not seeing reports of an Incursion requiring that length of time to complete? /Garry
Incursions vary in difficulty, the easiest will have only 1 Beacon, 2 in Tier 2 and lastly 3 in the 3rd Tier. Can I ask what difficulty setting you're playing the game on and what ship you are flying currently? /Garry

The New graphics is albo for PS5?
Lumen is a new optional global illumination technology that features for PC players running DX12 mode only. Other improvements or tweaks are added across all formats where possible. /Garry

@@ROCKFISHGames I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that if you have time, it might still make its way into console. I know you just enabled it on PC but for console it might require optimizing. Again, it's just a bonus on an already crazy beautiful and crisp looking game. 👍

Co-op or multiplayer won't be an aspect of EVERSPACE 2 as that would require a complete rewrite of the game which isn't feasible to do at this time in development. /Garry
@@ROCKFISHGames thats why is said offline would be fine too. Its kinda frustrating to turn ALL the time cause ALL enemies have only one target and thats us. Just a little AI-crew would do good enough. i know we got 1 ship that already has that kinda somehow, but it forces u to play only that ship and it already would fit in with the story.

The Incursion update launched on the 29th April to PC and PlayStation 5. Currently we're working through some issues that has delayed the Xbox/Gamepass version which we hope to have resolved soon. /Garry

Hey. Not sure if you've managed to get into Discord but I'll post the reply here as well.
Currently the only similar issue we've seen with the same error was due to the game trying to run on an iGPU, rather than a dedicated GPU. Usually this can happen with laptops if it selects onboard graphics, rather than a discrete GPU to run the game, but it can also happen on desktops where there's an iGPU built into the CPU.
If you can check to make sure your system is trying to run on a GPU and not onboard graphics. /Garry
I was initially skeptical of this update. And very mistaken. But overall - it actually brought me some fun. I didn't think much of rifts, but either you have given players too much power, or 2000 Rifts on Symphony-WotF-Last Rites Scout are so easy that I STILL don't need to use Scout's Ult. And I was afraid that I'd have to.
However... your game already had despicably bad performance compared to fine-wine UE4 Everspace 1. And now you've ruined it completely. I don't know what is wrong, I won't even rant too much about Lumen being an RT-like cancer. But I used to run your game(during campaign and EA) at 60-90fps(barring 2 certain cancer areas in Zharkov) at HIGH-EPIC.
Now I'm running Low-Med. LOW ****ING MED. And I still can't get above 60fps where it matters. And it matters in Rifts. You just had to do them ALL GLOWY AND SPARKLES, right? Thank goodness lazy Scout gameplay exists.
I ain't buying a GPU for this game to enjoy smooth gameplay(if it's even possible) in dogfights with melee\semi-melee ships.
But I will be buying a paid DLC if you finally make one xD
Вы можете объяснить, как так, что при уничтожении крупных кораблей ничего не остаётся? Это какой-то downgrade по сравнению с первой частью. Даже там после уничтожения были остовы. В этой же части просто взрыв и пустота. Хотя крупный корабль просто ну никак не может испариться полностью от взрыва.
Это очень сильно влияет на геймплей и производительность.
Если бы у нас были останки кораблей после каждого уничтожения, то игра работала бы очень плохо, поэтому в качестве выбора дизайна и производительности, а не реализма, мы сделали так, чтобы корабли испарялись после уничтожения.
Мы скорее аркадный мародер, шутер, чем реалистичный космический симулятор. /Garry

Спешу напомнить, что в Everspace это никак не мешало производительности, и после уничтожения крупных кораблей оставались остовы.
Не думаю что какой-то один остов коробля сильно влиял бы на производительность)
Ну или я пока не дошёл до момента в игре где придётся уничтожать десятками линейные корабли и корветы)
Эх, как не хватает той эпичной музыки и колониального флота)
Вообще у меня много вопросов касательно геймплея, после первой части. Но думаю я просто должен принять как должное. Может потом составлю список)
On PS5, frames drop to 40 fps after this update, unfortunately the gameplay is terrible, previously the game was running at a constant 60 fps, unfortunately for me it is unplayable at this point.

Combat seem still giving the impression of a cursor game with a ship kinda following it rather than actualy piloting a shiip. Its really too bad this particular part is so bad

@@ROCKFISHGames if nothing has changed since the beta, the control are pretty bad giving not piloting feeling. On top of that stick behavior ported to a mouse, its just awfull
Whilst controls won't suit everyone, we're pretty happy with how our games control methods work and so are a lot of players. With customisation and rebinding available for all platforms we feel there's plenty of choice for players to fine tune their controls to their preference. /Garry

i'am saying thoses controll are objectively bad as you try to "fake" a physical stick with a mouse.
i'am sure somes ppl would like to eat a soup with a fork and "be happy with it" it would still be objectively bad.
Like the flight feeling because of thoses settings end tedious and very saddly not fun. (and i'am the first person to be sad about it as you would love to play the game, but lord thoses controll are SO BAD, i just cant stand bad UX)
Its very sad you never had the desire to offer a very dynamic flight so controll actualy adapted to a mouse ( BF games are able to do so... why wont you ? right ?)

yet the issue with your game is different, but saying "x y is happy with it" sorry but it never was a quality insurance, nor a sign that something is correctly made.
In the best case scenario ppl deal with it because your game has other quality.

It is more than what AAA devs would offer. For the technical improvements that they Rockfish achieved, AAA devs would launch a DLC or even a stand alone.

Ugh, sorry but I hated this! Kill hundreds of enemies to drop a shield for a few seconds which is only enough time to take a few percent of the beacons health.... after 30 minutes I finally died. Not fun at all...
Hey RussKarlberg, any particular Incursion level that you're struggling with? Level 3 can be tough, but is there anything in particular that we might be able to advise you with as we're not seeing reports of an Incursion requiring that length of time to complete? /Garry

Incursions vary in difficulty, the easiest will have only 1 Beacon, 2 in Tier 2 and lastly 3 in the 3rd Tier. Can I ask what difficulty setting you're playing the game on and what ship you are flying currently? /Garry
@@ROCKFISHGames Hmm, I had 2 beacons... playing on the easiest setting and flying a middle of the road ship. Looking forward to DLC or the next RockFish game, since I enjoy exploring a lot more than combat.

It's a space looter shooter with a 6 DoF movement scheme for fast paced action combat with a variety of ship classes to choose from. A single-player storyline culminating with challenging end-game content. /Garry
