1992 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 is a 90’s Japanese icon that was kind of ahead of its time. With 4 wheel steering, V6 Twin turbo 6G72 engine, all wheel drive and active aero makes it a amazing handling car. I feel it was kind of forgotten about and doesn’t get as much love as a Nissan skyline and Toyota Supra.
3000GT’s were ahead of their time. Definitely deserved more love. Pretty clean example of one.
Yep. Really cool cars.
Such a cool car, the little stuff Mitsubishi did is super cool with this car. It’s sad what cars they make now. O well at least we can admire the golden era of their cars. Great video , great car!
Exactly. This is why I love 90’s cars. They have personality. Wish we had some nice roads to take turns on but oh well made do with what we had.
I miss my 1993 3000GT TT VR-4. . car always got compliments and loved how it performed
They’re such beautiful timeless cars.
I'm in the UK and have had mine since 2012, awesome car. going to be resprayed over the winter to bring it back together again. Mine is a JDM GTO with larger turbos, suspension upgrade, Revri Carbon fibre steering wheel, and a full red and black leather interior. A member of GTOUK and love the car.
That’s awesome man. Cool to hear about them being appreciated all around the world still.
@@shaneomatic91 Cheers mate, I always said I would get one after I first saw one. A proud owner.
The “spirited driving” got me. My new favorite words. 😂 Beautiful car! 🔥 🔥 🔥
🤣🤣 Ben talks really well.
And it runs and drives great
Hell yeah.
4 wheel steering is nuts
It’s fun as f*ck 🤣
I just bought one, engine it’s not in good shape but it runs, what’s better, doing an engine swap or fixing the current one
What does not good shape mean tho ? Like it’s knocking ? And as far as engine swaps I’d keep it 6G72 if it was me.
Cars are now implementing active exhaust aero suspension 4ws
Yeah it’s getting more common
I have a 1999 3000Gt Vr4 here in kempner tx
Nice. Ever bring it to Houston ?
These are hard to work on if you go into the job with the mindset that you are absolutely not going to remove anything else for access.
After you remove the intake and intercooler piping on the passenger side, you can damn near stand in the engine bay. Theres a TON of space. Engine is easy to pull. Transmission is easy to pull. Cylinder heads are easy to pull. You really just need some tools and some common sense.
I work on one years ago at a shop. We worked on mostly DSM’s but worked on one of these I can’t remember what we were doing to it because it was like 13 years ago. But yes once you remove all that there is a lot more access. I don’t think the owner of this car really dug into it yet. Hasn’t had a reason to. He just drives it and enjoys it as it is. They’re neat cars.
At least most people could work out how to fix these magnificent cars. Cars that are made today are impossible for the DIY. I fix my mitsubishi 3000gto every time somthink goes wrong. My other car is a new bmw, and that's fixed in a garage.
This is crazy. He gave five grand for his, and all I gave for Mine was a Honda foreman 400 I traded straight over for the title.
Damn. You got a deal lol how long ago was this ?
@@shaneomatic91 I just did it a week ago I have the car now I took the seats out and all of the interior to clean it I gotta put all of that stuff back in it now. I couldn't believe the dude said yes

you forgot to tell about dodge. dodge having ownership in mitsubishi i think back in the late 70s i know dodge got mitsubishi to make the 80 challenger. i have a 94 dodge stealth base model 5 speed working on it is a bit easier than the dohc/tt but idk if its dodge or mitsubishi cuz i see alot of stuff dodge used on the neon not same parts but the style of things intake/exhuast ports. these are dodubishi's. bout the same time these cars was made dodge also had ownership in lamborghini n they helped with the viper. mopar or no car, if u cant dodge it ram it!!
That’s waaayyy more history that I didn’t even wanna get into because of video length. Lol I have a Eagle Talon and have touched on related Diamond Star stuff in other videos.
