Hi Mike: All the political bs aside, this was a good ride. Great scenery, good road, not much traffic. I’m amazed that with your busy schedule you can find time to ride these great secondary roads. Seems as if time constraints would dictate that you drive the interstate system as much as possible? Thank you for the ride. Edward
Howdy Mountain Man Trucker Mike. Beautiful country to go thru. I agree with you. There is so much crap going on. I living in Oregon have to deal with our democratic governor. Thanks heavens I don’t live in Portland anymore.
Dear Mike, i look to your films to be a way from all those people and find the peace in the nature we may see throug your driving . So you do not only bring people the nessecary food ect but also much joy all over the world. Respect from the Netherlands
Thanks for the memories lived in Leadville for 17 years . Summer is nice in that part of the country but I can honestly say that I do not miss the snow and cold of the winter.
Thanks for taking us with you on your beautiful journeys through the country. Highway 24 is very beautiful, you are driving there at altitudes that are not reachable on paved roads here in Europe. I hope to be able to drive on some of these beautiful highways up there sometimes in the near future. Greetings from Germany.
Lol, that's what I said,,, of all the rudeness 😑 Our driver sure is courteous. I've had a few scary moments with truckers who have almost caused the demise of my family and I. Keep up the great driving skills, 😉
MMM you are very thoughtful. Enjoyed the ride, along with my morning coffee. I find the comments insightful. God bless all those who are trying to hold on to our great nation.
Man I’d love to be in the passenger seat for one of these rides! Do me a favor and run a winter contest where the winner gets to physically ride shotgun through the frozen passes with you. Just so you don’t have to bother with picking a winner I’ll just go ahead and say “CONGRATULATIONS CHRIS C!!” Thanks man. See you in January.
Linda Porritt he cant do it both company policy and insurance restrictions prevent it. Also, there may be some federal regulations involved. Good idea though.
@@edwardmounsey9208 Damn the restrictions and damn his job!!! As long as one viewer gets to cross something off the old bucket list, isn't losing his livelihood worth it?

Hey Mike. How's the knee? Was looking for you yesterday. Glad to see ya on the road and doin' okay. Look out for the idiots (anti everything) Stay Safe. PEACE!
I watched this video for nearly an hour to help me recall my trip from Vail to Leadville in the 1990's. I would have been happy to see a few streets thru downtown Leadville, or even the historic train trip to the silver mines. I was disappointed that the video focused on asphalt and pine trees as viewed from the cab of a semi. I know precisely how a jake break operates. The political commentary was totally unnecessary. Our votes have already been cast for Trump, and I have driven the routes described through snow & ice. I fully realize the dangers that other drivers present.
The tracks alongside the road at Tennessee Pass are those of the D&RGWRR. They haven't seen regular use since the late 90s, although there has been talk recently of them being bought by someone in Kansas and re-opened for grain shipments. Tennessee Pass is/was the highest altitude (10,221' ASL) standard gauge main line RR crossing in North America.
When was white people enslaved I know it was 200 years ago but we still are not free to some people would you invite the black man you talk to , to spend the night in your home I was enjoying riding with you but you are showing how you feel about my race good by good luck on the road

Beautiful views. Agree with everything you say. If someone chooses to live in a certain location, it is their choice to do so. Yes no issue over them following their cultures, having their own places of worship and respecting their heritage, but not require the majority to do back flips to accommodate them, or completely change the way the majority live to fully comply with their ways to avoid any risk of upsetting them. What about me and my values, my heritage, the sacrifices my ancestors made for a free world.
I was at Camp Hale in 81 doing mountain training, there was no building but all the streets were still there. I liked to watch them split the train in half and push it up the grade.
Wish I could respond to your views on what's happening but Y T will not allow it... Thanks for the shotgun ride as always gorgeous views... Peace my friend

Sir to your comments at 24:00, Black people were and still is treated horribly in certain areas. Yes, slavery ended 100 years but the civil rights movement was only 50 years ago. The mentality is still there. That is why everyone is still sensitive. No is calling you racial slurs when they get mad at you.
