You may have much better dust collection if you set the depth just beyond the thickness of the material. Great video
I think you are 100% correct and I'm going to pin this comment to the top 👊👊👊
And a smoother finish
And by setting the depth to a 1/16th or less you might be able to make turns for some projects?
Did you try using it to just score the line and then snap it off. Might prevent that little tang or chip at the end of the cut . That might be from the weight of the cut piece breaking away before being totally cut. But a nice tool just the same. Beats using a squirt bottle with my angle grinder
This my favorite channel for learning Spanish. I hope he does Japanese lessons one day.
😂😂😂
Haha, I pride myself in showing other how to speak my second native tongue properly. I also know 674 other languages that I will be bringing to the channel for you all 😎👊
Hey! Don't forget Italian ... I bet his buddy Vince from VCG can do it😅
Klingon!!!!!! 😂😂😂
The Spanish a nice touch!,
We have several Ryobi Tools and this one will be a must buy!! We're getting ready to install Veneer Stone around the front of our home. Can't wait until our store gets it in stock! Thanks John
That is a cool tool. Especially for DIYer. that just needs to cut tile every now and then. Ryobi coming out with cool tools. Really enjoy your videos. keep up great work.
Used the previous version of this tool to renovate and tile 3 bathrooms and a cut a quartz kitchen benchtop. Great little tool!!
Boy I wish everyone would make videos to learn and show how to do stuff with the product they have bought like you do,this is what keeps people interested in your videos and coming back, especially the “stitched”(Jewish for funny)keep them coming, your way got me hooked,a viewer from Canada 🛠️🧰🪛🔧🪜🔩👍👍👍
Thank you for the awesome comment Cheryl!!!
Cool tool.
I need to update mine. It's an old heavy metal SO @ SO !!!! That predates the time before attorneys and insurance companies started handy capping manufacturers of tools.
Thanks for the video, Clint.
Maybe Bosch will build one.
One can only dream !!! Lol !!!!
I LOVE IT! One thing I like about them they come out with unique stuff.
Agua explained everything I needed to know about this wet saw, thanks… mine is still new though!
Thank you. I appreciate your efforts in putting together an A1 presentation.
I got one of these in England 2 1/2 years ago. Works a treat
Your video convinced me to try this wet/dry saw. Had some 16mm black granite to cut. Perfect cut, water works well, cut quicker than I thought it could. Recommended. thx.
Glad it worked for you 👊👊👊
You are having way too much fun! Thanks
Those little buggies are great for cutting CBUs. I have an old Workforce unit (THD 250), plug version from back in the late 90s that cuts CBUs, brick and whatnot with ease. A battery version would be a good fit for when you have no power. It came with a fence which worked perfectly for those times that I needed it to cut CBUs.
I have a couple of tile saws, but for small repair jobs, this could be quite handy.
Looks awesome, ryobi saws used to come with the fence and a wing bolt for it ,sucks they don't anymore
Typical sign of the times~! Pay More=Get Less~!
Your videos are “Real nice like!” Absolutely awesome!!!
As is your comment Brother 👊👊👊👊
"I aint got no monee" LOL, never change Clint!
Hahaha
Thanks Man
You sir are a character
Love your videos 👏👏👏👏
Sweet tool! If I still cut tiles I'd use it.
Should be cutting with the finish surface down. The blade should always (ideally) transit from the finished side to the back. On a tile saw, the finish side is up because the blade is cutting down, into the tile. This saw is cutting up so flip the tile.
That seems like a practical drawback of this tool. We always mark the finished surface for cutting. How would we see that surface when tile is upside down?
Love ya Clint 🌴🇵🇷 cool Ryobi product 👍🏼 Gracias por tu Canal...
Right back at ya brother 👊👊👊👊👊
I was hoping someone would review this! It’s as nice as I thought it would be. Dude, you had me and my son dying. “I can see my reflection, I’m beautiful”.😭😂💀
Hahaha, was like looking into a face of an angel 😇 🤣🤣🤣 Thanks for the comment ryobiguy 👊
@@ToolReviewZone Lmfaoo.😭😭😭
@@ToolReviewZoneI picked up one of these off Facebook Marketplace brand new in the box for $75! Thanks again for the review lol.
This Ryobi man says I like it because if you are doing tile in the bathroom or back splash in the kitchen, you can have 45° mitered cuts for corners. And that is something I had never seen before. 😊😊😊
Nice video!
You can cut curves if you raise the blade up.
Nice job as usual with this presentation. You just need to change your technique up a bit to keep from getting a rough corner at the end. I know it's just a tool demo and not a "how to cut tile " demo though. I like the water addition for sure. It will keep the tiles from overheating and cracking in the middle of a cut as well as add to the life of the blade. I used to use a Roto-zip tool and it was disappointing without being able to use water in the tool. It looks like a great little portable solution for doing tile work. I agree that it should come with the fence but maybe one is available as an accessory. I see this as more of a free hand solution. If you really want a precision cut, the sliding table type saws with the pan underneath are the way to go. They have problems with their circulator pumps though when the pickup isn't in clean water and that usually causes the inexperienced guys lots of headaches. This little saw solves that by having just clean water for the cut.
Would be hard to use on smaller tiles…. They need to combined this tool with there laminate flooring saw setup wit a water pump a pan water reservoir … that would be a nice setup and more useful for all size tile .👍😉
I'm thinking you might be driving the saw too fast and not letting it do the work. And Jeremy is right, depth is crucial with any work. That bottle perched on the top looks like a good place to see it busted. Replacements available? I cut slate much thicker for stepping stones and bought a hole saw for a marble steam shower. Wet is good.
I worked in the glass industry, Makita had the same type of saw ,only smaller. I cut 1 inch strips off a 12 ft by 1 inch thick table top , I still have the strips.
Did not see the word brushless on the tool, so this has the brushed slightly lower power motor in it?
I can't wait to see that tool in Canada and also we still waiting for the 9ah battery...
Derecho =straight. Cool saw great video and hi from Texas 🇨🇱
Awesomeness, Hello TEXAS!!!!
I will be getting one some day I have a lot of ryobi tools now been using them for 12 years now
Here in Brazil this tool is called Marble Saw
The makita has a battery model that is sold here
Interesting on the name. Appreciate the info on that vini.
You are a beaut! Great presentation my man
@Cajun Country Livin used 1 of those a week or 2 ago, and they liked the way it worked.
Funny guy my first impression it’s a tile cutter 😊👍🏻🇺🇸🇵🇭 nice video brother
Quick fixes or small jobs this will shine. AND THATS REAL NASS LIKE
Definitely real nass like brotha man John!!!!!
How well does it cut pavers?
so how's this different from a circular saw?
Does the tool come with cleaning kit??
Go Clint!
Nice tool!
How many cuts before that motor pulls a Ryobi and goes up in amoke
Making the table so wide allows the installer to clamp a guide board on the left side. Thats a plus
Will, that do concrete as well?
So... i know this is meant for tile... but how does it handle concrete cutting? The big saws I can rent make a ton of dust!
Wonder if you raise the blade maybe less dust ❤ it
Looks like a good saw 👍
Muchas Gracias señor Clint
Ummmmm....... Not AUGA to you as well brotha man 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤣🤣🤣👊
@@ToolReviewZone lol not AGUA! Gonna use that! Lol
Given that workers are dying from silicosis in California, I’d do my utmost to avoid all dust. Very interesting piece of gear.
when are you going to show us your review of the 18v power station?
Hell yea only real ones know how to work professionally. Love RYOBI now.
I done learned something today! How to say water in Spanish. Aagwa! Thank you Clint very grachuus!
I feel humbled that I was able to teach others they way if the Españoll 😏
You put that saw blade to the tile duro y profundo. That’s Spanish for hard and deep. 😂
Hahahaha
I thought it was a wet saw. Oh it is!
hand held tile saw?
I'm suprised you would need both water and a vac. Seems to me that not enough water is going where it needs to to deal with the dust. Looks a nice saw though, I have one on the way to the UK for research. Great review as always
I thought you said bat ray. nice find
When cutting tile, does the blade need to be so extended as it was here, or should it be extended to only just below the bottom side like with wood?
The benefits of having that much blade in the tile is its easy cut a straight line less blade harder = harder to keep straight
Great question, but Aaron nailed it
Thanks.
it's too bad that you didn't throw in the battery condition at the start and at the end of the video for both the vacuum and the saw great video keep them coming
Batray ??
Nice present 🙏💕
will that cut glass?
Nice looking tool.👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸
Do you like fiber laser machine? it is easy to welding/cutting metal&steel.
"Recto" is the correct usage for this application for straight. But if all else fails just go with "straight-o cut-o" lol
Hahaha, dam it..... I was sooooo close!
Hardy board siding??
Nice review, I only have one comment, if you raised the blade so it is just deep enough to go through, you will find it faster, and, you will find it customer nicer too.
Yes, raising the blade will also reduce the heat and make the blade last a lot longer.
Your perfect Spanish aside, sir, I hear Pittsburgh in your accent.
You have a great ear pidge 👊👊👊
Yinz getting some new Ryobi tools, n nat? :-)
you can adjust the depth and get a better outcome
derecho is Spanish for straight not to be confused with derecha for "right" I like your presentation. Good information with a little bit og fun. BTW, my daughter does tile work so I'll buy one for her.
muy bien explicado!
How much is the saw?
Looks like a pump feels like a sneaker.
Where the hell do I get a “bat ray”?
"Spanish for water. . ." :^D Here's one for the algorythm!
Thanks James 👊👊👊
I have the Ryobi TC4014 4in. Wet tile saw that I have used to install hundreds of 2in. pavers. It sucks having to cut on one side and flip it over and cut again. I got excited when I saw this thumbnail, but why, why, why can't they make a wet tile saw (that doesn't cost $$$$$) to cut 2 in. pavers? Why? Apparently this new one only goes to 1-5/8 in.
I have a 30 year old corded, wet, circular tile saw that also has a 5-1/2" blade and it cuts 2" pavers in one cut. Don't know why RYOBI couldn't manage that.
Excellente Amigo
Wish I was a flooring guy
Is this Clint’s channel huh never knew it existed
most likely the same fence as comes with the 18 volt wood circular saw
Awesome sauce 💪
I like the new 3
Gallon vac from Ryobi but it costs to much I
Like the Hercules better for the price and it works
Just as good
great video
Yep gonna be my next toy 😊
That is a circular saw. It's just a circular saw for cutting tile, rather than for cutting wood. I have a corded, wet circular saw that's now 30 years old that still slices through tile and patio paver stones like butter.
Does it have a blade direction switch? Seems like it puts out a lot of dust, so having the cutting edge of the blade spin downwards would help a lot if you're not using a vacuum.
Unfortunately no, but that would be nice
Why does ryobi have so many more tools than ridgid and still have that crappy stab in battery system? I'll never quite get that
Set blade depth to 7' for better results already
Bat Ray?
Really not surprised that a Ryobi guy sounds like this lol 😂 😂😂😂😂😂
Rechargeable what?
Wow! Ryobi not Ryobi the most innovative tool manufacturer in the world.
Cordless silicosis. Dead good
Thay have had tile saws for years I have one that I have had for 6 years
Just go to your bag n pull out a 5in grinder!works just the same
Ryobi, not Reobi. From the guy who who says batrays instead of batteries. OK. Still, good video and a nice tool. Ryobi makes some great ones. I know, I have a truckload already.
Great video, like it
I would use it pending on the price point
