Kat from Kitschsnitch did a Project Apocalips, which I personally think is the absolute best name for a lip product project pan 😂 mostly because I love apocalypse themed movies and books
Hi darling Wow I know what It means, here in north Italy we had 42 days straight of fog 😵 I love your project pan videos, i'm in my first year of no buy makeup, so you're such an inspiration to me ✨🙏🏻
I'm excited to cheer you on during this Project!! I'm in my 3rd year of lipstick-specific project pans, and it has fast become my favourite project, so I hope you enjoy it too! It's so satisfying to see lipsticks become shorter and shorter each month. It also seems like you've got a good variety of shades and formulas to keep you interested over the year. Best of luck with it!
I'm with you! I've been on a lipstick 'no buy' since April 22 --lipstick is my favorite item to buy and watch on YT but it needed to be done. I am using them as cream blushes to make things go faster AND then I don't have to buy cream blushes AND it quickly coordinates my makeup. :)
Ooh that’s such a good idea!! I’ve actually never used a lipstick as a blush because I’ve had most of my lipsticks soooo long and I don’t want to risk it on my skin 😅
I have about 10 lip products (half minis) that I want gone this year. I have no clue how I can work through them, but I hope I can!! I’m not a huge lip product wearer as I can’t reapply throughout by day. But we will see how it goes haha
That sounds super doable!! Maybe try different approaches and see what works best - focusing on one for a month then another for the next month, or cycling through all of them and seeing how many uses you can get through in a month. I recommend looking up other ways to use lip products (like as cream blush) to get through them faster!
@@laralikesmascara thanks for the amazing tips! I’m going to try the focusing on one a month! I can probably try mixing them too, hopefully that will help :) I would be really excited to even just get 5 out. That would be great because of how much space and mental clutter it will clean up. I will have to remember to try and report back in the comments every time you do an update!
It is encouraging to see you pan older items. Like obviously I know many things last longer than what it says on the package but its still good to see others do it. Most of my lip products contain proper preservatives thank goodness 😅🤣 I'm thinking to do a 23 in 23 for lip products incl lipsticks, liners, glosses, balms and masks. I hardly have minis so will be almost all full size. I already emptied 5 lip products this year and have 2 more almost empty. Plus 2 glosses being down the last 20 %. So I think I can do it. Not sure I can do a lipstick... But I have my eyes on a few
Like a few other commenters have mentioned, I've used some lipsticks (Very old ones at that) in the past as a dupe for a cream blush - they worked out quite well! I swatched them on my hand first to kind of mix of them and then applied to my cheek. Breathed new life into a couple lipsticks that I was sick of using for their original purpose and also helped to use more of it up quicker!
I want to try this!! I'm just worried about my skin because of how old they are... less than 3 years is fine with me but anything older than that i feel a bit iffy
I feel your pain, it hasn't been as bad in February but here in Michigan it was cloudy like all of winter this year. Good luck on your project, I own 2 lipsticks and I can't even force myself to wear them, lol.
Hahaha I love getting comments like this because it’s such a contrast to the person who commented last week that they recently decluttered 116 lip products 😅
Hi it’s Lara! I’ve tried using different lip liners with lipsticks and have liked the result, but there’s not really a way to make any pinks work imo 😅
I saw a tip from Sarah Rose recently where she suggested rubbing bright or dark coloured lipstick on the back of your hand, mix in a bit of concealer and hey presto, you have a new and much more wearable shade. Complete game changer! Good luck with the project.

Omg that’s an amazing name - I may have to use that (and credit Kat of course) next time 😅

Oh my goodness 42 days!! And I thought we had it bad 😩😭😭
The revlon lip butter is giving me major nostalgia ❤

Yes I find it so satisfying because it's so much easier to tell a difference with lipsticks than with almost any other product! Thank you :)

wow 5 already done from this year! that's amazing, you can definitely get a long more done if you keep it up
I'm thinking about doing this, too!
Yay!!

There's a lipstick project pan through the pantastic ladies (I'm doing it) and it's in their fb group for those who want to join

I reach for the same ones over and over, I need to do something to use others.
ya change it up!!
Hi Laura, Probably obvious, but have you tried mixing the shades to see if you can come up with something you like better? I like the pink on you. 💖

Thank you!! I should definitely give this a try
Whats up with the notebook and the smudges. Lol
I may be misunderstanding you but that's typically how people track their usage of products!
I didn’t know you were in the GTA! 🇨🇦They’re saying it’s going to snow again today and I hope they’re exaggerating…
Ya i live downtown Toronto! hey at least now we have more daylight hours so I'm happy lol
