I love the shadows at 1:59 of Chui attacking and then Mosi’s head lining up with Chui’s shadow. The Chui/Mosi parallels are ever present in this story, and haunting to say the least!

This NEEDS to be a MAP. It's a law somewhere, I'm sure of it! Seriously, your storyboarding is absolutely beautiful and the transitions and movements are all perfectly timed! Even with the little glitches here and there (totally forgivable and not distracting enough to be an issue). Also, I watched this first with the sound off so I could take in the movement and all the sketches. It was a lovely experience with JUST visuals, btw. I got a REALLY good jist as to what what happening. With the sound, it was super clear. :) This is a wonderful work of art, Arven! Thank you for sharing it with us and for sticking with it until it was finished! :D

Is it weird that I see all this in colors. Like my mind is so into the story that it fills the sketch with all the details of colors and lighting effect that wasn't even there. 🤣 I've been reading the comic since like... 2014. Seeing this Animation with amazing song choice is such a blessing.

Its one of my comfort comics, I absolutely love all of the characters, even the villainous guys! They're all so unique and well-written, not the mention the phenomenal artwork! ive been reading since episode 1 on webtoon and this animations is the whole comic summerized to where the son of Africa (forgot his name) saw he mother taking care another kitten and thought she replaced him after his sister died (and he also thought that he wasn't meet his mother expectation of an adult male leopard) this 4 minute animation is imaculate and i think this fits the characters perfectly

this has to be one of my favorite ever storyboards for real, it's loose but man it's on point! despite you saying you didn't have much experience in animation and such it looks very professional! the expressions and poses are some of my favorite parts, and the way you tied the lyrics into your story is amazing! I feel so bad for the guilt BIbi has and Mosi's gone through so much :( beautiful story! I've been following AFRICA for a few months now and it's one of my parts of Wednesdays!
Goodness, this is so good! I discovered the comic thanks to this animatic, and am now scared to death for all the beloved characters =)) I like how Bibi's frustration and hurt parallel Mossi's anger at his mother's perceived betrayal/abandonment; how Bibi tries to plead with him; the way she is trapped in a cave similiar to one where Mossi was hiding! In some ways, comic reminds me of Pride of Baghdad, though it seems more forgiving than that heart-wrecking punch of a story, to my greatest relief. For now, at least 😭
Coming back after seeing it. O M G IT IS AMAZING. I love the use of flashbacks and transitions from Mosi to his younger version and also to see Bibi laments too. All the camera movements were amazing too. SUCH A GREAT WORK I WOULD DEFINITELY LOVE TO SEE IT IN A MAP♥️♥️

WOW, this was amazing! It fits the comic so well I’ve never seen anything on UA-cam about Webtoons, so I was surprised to find this (especially for a smaller comic like Africa). Seriously this is perfect in every way
Amazing work, there is so much attention to the environment around them as part of the storytelling ! I would love to see this as a map someday, there are many juicy shots id love to flesh out! if you do ever do anything with this, my highest recommendation is to find a way to simplify all the spotted and stripes characters. Bibi is very lucky to be a caracal in that regard haha.
I have JUST finished reading the comic- (well- I just finished reading it from devianart) ANYWAYS, the comic is just AMAZING! And it’s starting to make me want to write stories again 🤩 The song choice was also SO FITTING! I love your work and I’m so glad that I found your channel!
EXCUSE ME, HOW DO I DOUBLE-LIKE A VIDEO? This looks amazing! I follow the comic through Webtoon, It's been a couple years now. Always thought of "Africa" as a huge source for animated content, given the dynamic action and crazy perspective built in each panel. Big MAP energy! Excellent storyboarding and song choice too, I got chills when Bibi shows her flashback and the song portrays her guilt so perfectly omg (fun fact I really thought she was a boy in the comic too for some reason lol) also with Mosi's flashback? Dang, I felt the pain, especially when Binti briefly appears, the poor baby. I love it all, you should be every inch of proud with this!

The facial expressions, general storyline, characters-pretty much the entire animatic is amazing. It actually seems like your reading a graphic novel more than an animation; the atmosphere in the video makes it seem like it could be for a major production company like Disney. Very impressive either way.
im latee but i just wanted to say how much i love all the parallels and symbolisms oh my godd how mosi keeps resembling chui from his shadows and the transitions, how even bibi is beginning to see that mosi is becoming the leopard she feared. in the end mosi couldnt run away from his nature and slowly, he is beginning to become more and more like the very leopard that ruined his life. this was so beautiful and well done ,, ive been following this comic for months now and this makes me so happy, africa is so underrated honestly you deserve so much more, this was absolutely stunning !!!!!
Another note: Bibi is currently my fav character and the reason why is cuz of her character development, how relatable she seems to be, and that she's a good parental figure to Mosi (I wonder how they're doing canonically ngl. I hope they're still on good terms, but Ig I'll see for myself lmao). Imma assume the reason why she didn't bother to approach Africa is she fears the backlash she might receive from her and feels guilt for partaking in forcing her to leave her home so Chui takes over. Chui must've really haunted her thoughts I bet. I can especially take notes on her lamenting in this animatic that she regrets what she did and might not feel comfortable to approach Africa at all as she thinks she doesn't deserve to be around her? I look forward to see if there's more development determining if she regains her confidence to be brave towards facing Africa and seeing if Africa will either be pissed at her or forgive her. Since Africa is also undergoing development on becoming a nicer parent, there may be a chance she might forgive Bibi and become allies to take down Bes and Chui...hopefully...As for Mosi, I'm really curious of where his madness takes him and how her mother will deal with this situation. I feel bad for Mondo rn cuz none of it was his fault and yet he's a target to Mosi because of ties with Sabra (I hate her & am glad she died ngl). Also, Bibi is inspo for me creating my caracal oc :D (caracals are very neat & their chirps are adorable af) Dayum I infodumped so much here, but that's cuz I don't currently have much social media ties with the Africa comic. I'm bound to have more sometime sooner or later tho.
Oh my gosh, ohhhhhh my GOSH!! This animatic was amazing and so GOOD! I just loved the use of shadows and shadowy figures and comparisons with Mosi to Chui, it was so creative, along with the birds and multiple angle shots throughout! Everything was beautifully drawn, and posed, while the song fit both Mosi and Bibi and the whole situation so well! Even if it's not considered canon by any means, it turned out gorgeous and every second was a delight to watch!

This was amazing. I have been following your comic for ... several years and I have enjoyed your artwork and your ability to create expression into your characters. Watching this video made me grieve for the world as there is so much hatred, anger, strife and sadness. It seems that it is what the world wants, not knowing that there is something better. If only the world can look for the positive in the negative. It is also interesting in how Africa's errors in her life has caused a backlash upon her children, and it seems as though if NOBODY is willing to forgive, hatred will always continue, and with hatred, there is always sadness. I know you are the writer of the story, but I am rooting for Mosli in his ability to come to forgiveness and forget his pride in anger.

This is really good! I love the transitions between shots with flashbacks, nocely done. And the scene with climbing up the tree, the birds flying away, their shadows visible - very nice touch and cool work with the environment. Your hard work has paid off :)

The emotions are so strong and the expressions of you art are so true (as usual). MAP? Yes! Would be even more awesome if a team was able to record a version of the song for you that had modified lyrics and singer roles so you could make it fit your original story. ;3 Awesome work! this is SO GOOD if you made this a map I WOULD JOIN IMMIDEATLY also i just really love your transitions like when the leapord character turns aroudn and like it zooms in and when it zooms out shes a child that was incredibly well done
I hadn’t read Africa in a couple years or so, and I’d forgotten you had a UA-cam channel, so I was really surprised to see this pop up in my recommended. After seeing a grown up Mosi in the thumbnail, I went and caught myself up on the comic, and things are getting really intriguing. As for the animatic itself, the movement is so well drawn and timed, and I like how it resembles the comic in its frequent incorporation of flashbacks. While watching, I was interested with the way Mosi was mirroring Chui’s shadow, and then that ending shot with the red light came on… wow. Kind of interesting to consider, though, how red is opposite to green; don’t know if that has any greater meaning. Makes me very worried to see how Mosi’s gonna turn out, though… Great work as always! I’d love to see more animatics from you, but honestly I’m surprised that you were even able to create this one while balancing comic updates and patron art. Your commitment to art is always commendable.
I’ve been following your comic for at least a year and a half now, and watching this animatic was AMAZING!! First off, found a new song for my playlist, and second, just WOW. I love the dynamic and everything. Even someone who hasn’t read the comic or description can tell what’s going on.

I’ve never seen anything on UA-cam about Webtoons, so I was surprised to find this (especially for a smaller comic like Africa). Seriously this is perfect in every way
Amazing work, there is so much attention to the environment around them as part of the storytelling ! I would love to see this as a map someday, there are many juicy shots id love to flesh out! if you do ever do anything with this, my highest recommendation is to find a way to simplify all the spotted and stripes characters. Bibi is very lucky to be a caracal in that regard haha.

EXCUSE ME, HOW DO I DOUBLE-LIKE A VIDEO? This looks amazing! I follow the comic through Webtoon, It's been a couple years now. Always thought of "Africa" as a huge source for animated content, given the dynamic action and crazy perspective built in each panel. Big MAP energy! Excellent storyboarding and song choice too, I got chills when Bibi shows her flashback and the song portrays her guilt so perfectly omg (fun fact I really thought she was a boy in the comic too for some reason lol) also with Mosi's flashback? Dang, I felt the pain, especially when Binti briefly appears, the poor baby. I love it all, you should be every inch of proud with this!

The facial expressions, general storyline, characters-pretty much the entire animatic is amazing. It actually seems like your reading a graphic novel more than an animation; the atmosphere in the video makes it seem like it could be for a major production company like Disney. Very impressive either way.
im latee but i just wanted to say how much i love all the parallels and symbolisms oh my godd how mosi keeps resembling chui from his shadows and the transitions, how even bibi is beginning to see that mosi is becoming the leopard she feared. in the end mosi couldnt run away from his nature and slowly, he is beginning to become more and more like the very leopard that ruined his life. this was so beautiful and well done ,, ive been following this comic for months now and this makes me so happy, africa is so underrated honestly you deserve so much more, this was absolutely stunning !!!!!
Another note: Bibi is currently my fav character and the reason why is cuz of her character development, how relatable she seems to be, and that she's a good parental figure to Mosi (I wonder how they're doing canonically ngl. I hope they're still on good terms, but Ig I'll see for myself lmao). Imma assume the reason why she didn't bother to approach Africa is she fears the backlash she might receive from her and feels guilt for partaking in forcing her to leave her home so Chui takes over. Chui must've really haunted her thoughts I bet. I can especially take notes on her lamenting in this animatic that she regrets what she did and might not feel comfortable to approach Africa at all as she thinks she doesn't deserve to be around her? I look forward to see if there's more development determining if she regains her confidence to be brave towards facing Africa and seeing if Africa will either be pissed at her or forgive her. Since Africa is also undergoing development on becoming a nicer parent, there may be a chance she might forgive Bibi and become allies to take down Bes and Chui...hopefully...As for Mosi, I'm really curious of where his madness takes him and how her mother will deal with this situation. I feel bad for Mondo rn cuz none of it was his fault and yet he's a target to Mosi because of ties with Sabra (I hate her & am glad she died ngl).
Also, Bibi is inspo for me creating my caracal oc :D (caracals are very neat & their chirps are adorable af)

Oh my gosh, ohhhhhh my GOSH!! This animatic was amazing and so GOOD! I just loved the use of shadows and shadowy figures and comparisons with Mosi to Chui, it was so creative, along with the birds and multiple angle shots throughout! Everything was beautifully drawn, and posed, while the song fit both Mosi and Bibi and the whole situation so well! Even if it's not considered canon by any means, it turned out gorgeous and every second was a delight to watch!

This was amazing. I have been following your comic for ... several years and I have enjoyed your artwork and your ability to create expression into your characters.
Watching this video made me grieve for the world as there is so much hatred, anger, strife and sadness. It seems that it is what the world wants, not knowing that there is something better. If only the world can look for the positive in the negative. It is also interesting in how Africa's errors in her life has caused a backlash upon her children, and it seems as though if NOBODY is willing to forgive, hatred will always continue, and with hatred, there is always sadness. I know you are the writer of the story, but I am rooting for Mosli in his ability to come to forgiveness and forget his pride in anger.

This is really good! I love the transitions between shots with flashbacks, nocely done. And the scene with climbing up the tree, the birds flying away, their shadows visible - very nice touch and cool work with the environment. Your hard work has paid off :)

I hadn’t read Africa in a couple years or so, and I’d forgotten you had a UA-cam channel, so I was really surprised to see this pop up in my recommended. After seeing a grown up Mosi in the thumbnail, I went and caught myself up on the comic, and things are getting really intriguing.
As for the animatic itself, the movement is so well drawn and timed, and I like how it resembles the comic in its frequent incorporation of flashbacks. While watching, I was interested with the way Mosi was mirroring Chui’s shadow, and then that ending shot with the red light came on… wow. Kind of interesting to consider, though, how red is opposite to green; don’t know if that has any greater meaning. Makes me very worried to see how Mosi’s gonna turn out, though…
Great work as always! I’d love to see more animatics from you, but honestly I’m surprised that you were even able to create this one while balancing comic updates and patron art. Your commitment to art is always commendable.
