I watches the two videos before going to the accounts for the story. At first, I was mad at Sol for full on antagonizing Metaphor for just wanting something better for the batponies. Now after learning the story from both sides. I am fully blaming this au's twilight! I don't think she meant to but she caused Sol to only see his brother as a threat that was destined to occur. Twilight seems to only see metaphor as a nightmare waiting to happen and doesn't seem to realize that if he does, it will be because of how his so called family was treating him. Doesn't she remember that part of the reason Luna became evil was because nobody was listening to her or treating her like a normal living being? I realize I am, maybe, back in my pony phase because of this au...
Same here! Her unintentionally making history repeat itself by trying to prevent it is such irony. It's also frustrating but makes sense that Twilight would try to be a good mother/ruler but still accidentally favor Sol, who undoubtedly reminds her of her teacher/hero/idol/mentor. I remember especially in the earlier seasons that she was a major overthinker, so maybe pressure to be a good ruler clouded some better judgement, and classic overthinking led her to forget the whole reason that Luna became Nightmare Moon in the first place? I only first read through the accounts a couple of days ago, so I could be off. Either way, the writing for the characters' motivations is so fun to dissect!
I haven't looked at anything other than this animatic, but from reading comments and the description this is what I understand It's similar to a next generation au, but it seems not everyone is a main6 child biologically. Sol and Metaphor are technically adopted if I understand correctly, but they are essentially Celestia and Luna reincarnated based on how their magic works. Twilight didn't want another Nightmare Moon scenario, so she told Sol to keep an eye on his brother Which instead caused a self fulfilling prophecy. I love how after Metaphor becomes a Nightmare, he is still a pony. He gets larger yes, but his wing shape didn't change and his teeth didn't sharpen. Whereas Sol had fangs from the getgo. It reminds me of one of the latter seasons's episode where Starlight swapped Luna and Celestia's cutiemarks and we saw a glimps of what Celestia could have turned into if the tables were turned, aka Daybreaker. While Metaphor became a Nightmare, he was still trying to be reasonable, while Sol was *acting* like a nightmare and not listening
@@Autopilotpone I cannot believe I accurately depicted this and I am extremely happy you pointed out Sol has a daybreaker form that is most definitely a fire design (pun intended)

One more artist who creating the MLP-animatics. Your work is worth respect and much more views. I glad to see your creation on par with Ink Potts's old animatics based on Count Monte Cristo.)
Being back in my MLP phase for a short while, I'm so glad there are still mlp oc animatics being made that look so well done!! (With amazing music choice omg)
