Nice presentation. You are very easy and enjoyable to watch and do an excellent job of explaining the recipe. Thank you! By the way, this recipe is perfect for me. I love both rice and leeks and am a vegetarian. Thanks again.

We haven't heard of this dish and we're excited to try it. I saw some lovely leeks in our market today. For sure I'll be going back tomorrow to get some!

@@SofiasGrekaKitchen My mom's parents emigrated from Greece. She was born in Chicago in 1936. She grew up learning to cook with her mom and Yiayia, but in the States. My dad's parents also are from Greece and he was born in the US in 1926. So on both sides there is a deep Greek culinary tradition... albeit frozen in the time of the turn of the last century. It's fascinating how many of the recipes are still prepared in the same way. However, this is one that I've never heard of. Maybe my Yiayia just didn't care for it. lol.

@@amateurepicurean8168 that is so lovely and thank you for sharing with me...I love how Greek dishes and traditions have been passed on and I think its fascinating too. Leaving away from Greece I also know how it feels and I am so happy I can share dishes with you.
p.s I cannot argue with a Yiayia 😊 mine are not with us anymore but we still love them so much!

@@SofiasGrekaKitchen My dad's mom lived with us when I was a child and so she helped to raise me. One of the few phrases I know in Greek is, "Ασε το αγόρι μόνο του." How can one argue with that?
