I definitely believe if the focus of the sequel trilogy would have been on Ben and Rey the films would have been better. The chemistry between the actors were incredible, the characters should have been both the lead. I also agree that if Kylo would not have been able to kill Han and other lives, it would have prepared the next two films for a much better plot.
Man, the best part in sequels is Reylo. The most focus was on them

@@devincheese6408 not really, the scenes with them were just significant and well acted, but if you compare their screen time with the rest of the trilogy...it's not very much.

I will say, I don't necessarily agree with everything in here, but with how you utilised Palpatine coming back to life to help grow Rei's character was fucking genius instead of being just nostalgia bait.
Agreed! Some UA-cam creators and fanfiction writers explore the relationship between Rey and Ben, and the characters of the sequel trilogy in intriguing ways .
What if Kylo was just pretending to side with the sith as a double agent
With Ben Solo not dying but having a happy ending with Rey this of course would have been a much better script than that what we have now.
Just finished watching the sequel trilogy and I hate that Ben dies in the end! Would have been so awesome to have a Skywalker Palpatine baby continue the story!! Why do they always have to kill off one of the main characters of the romance? Their light vs dark was the only interesting thing of the movies and they killed it - literally. There’s no Rey without Ben. I like your version better.
Yes! Why inventing a dyad in the force in first place when they don't show us how both work together in defeating Palpatine? It doesn't make sense at all.

IMAGINE! A future Star War character who was half Solo/ Skywalker/ Palpatine. MOST Star War fans do not want Rey unless Ben Solo(,Adam Driver) is around. If not Ben , a child from Reylo.
While I'm sad that this version had Finn die, overall this is SO MUCH BETTER than what the movies gave us.
Wonderful video. I recently watched the sequel trilogy and felt that the reylo relationship should of been the focus especially with how much visual context was using light vs dark. I enjoyed how you mentioned that Rey’s light was pulling Ben and ben’s dark was pulling Rey creating a neutral shade (grey) which makes sense as the world is not light or dark, black or white. It is a multitude of shades. I think the writers had the blueprint for this to come to light but didn’t want to take the risk. Then again, it gives fans the option to diverge and create new theories and ideas that may have been on the writers table but never made it to screen. Wonderful video!

Good, but one change: don’t physically bring back Palpatine. Instead, let him be a voice in her ear that she trusts because it preaches light and wisdom at first; let any physical presence be imagined, so that we all know who he is but she has no idea and is willing to listen because his advice is bringing her a place and relationships.
Good idea, but would everyone just fight her in the end?

Eveyone know kylo was best part of this trilogy and this force bond is most interesting part in the movies and only thing didnt 100% ruined it.

I don't agree with killing off Finn. Their relationship could have worked with him alive. Just give him love in Rose Tico who could have been a better character. Finn could help Ben redeem her though she fell out of fear instead out of wanting to bring him back obviously.
The only saving grace for the sequels was the Rey-Ben relationship. To see it explored in this reimagined plot, is just beautiful ! I also love how Luke, Leia and Han are given more significance this way !

Wow. I've seen tons and tons of rewrite theories (not to mention endless alternate ending fanfictions) and though many of them are good, this one is my favorite -- especially bc you manage to fix the story while still including Rey Palpatine (which I saw as a pure mistake, I always thought Rey Nobody was a better message) AND while ending with the classic "boring" message that the light side is superior? That last one really gets me bc I figured any good version of the story would thematically default to "balance" being the best option, as that was a great strength of TLJ in my opinion. But actually going down the grey path to showcase Ben's flawed thinking, how he and Rey being neutral together would just be allowing evil to grow, and ANAKIN of all people telling him this?? 👏👏 👏 Plus Rey going dark for the same reasons Anakin did and all the skywalkers going to save her and an actual happy reylo ending...yeah there's too many good things to say about this. Awesome job

I don't think the sequels were carbon copy it really is if you take out the important details and major plot and take the specific plot points really ros was what hurt the sequel trilogy
hopefully a new movie could to be shot.
Both together living their lives, is not necessary the force or the power, just stay together with their happy ending.

For me the problem was they became too romantic too fast. I would have liked them to have a deep personal connection as lost souls and make it almost ambiguous in a sense which would have added much more depth in my opinion. But regardless I do love them. I just wish their relationship was written better

This was much better than what we were given. I always liked the idea of the son of the light going dark, redeemed by the daughter of the dark who chose the light. Balance. That's what was prophesied about Anikin but never brought to fruition. It would've been cool to have seen that balance through the joining of Rey and Ben. Also, I think the Dyad was a fascinating concept but was poorly executed. They were supposed to have the power of life itself yet were so easily beaten by a dilapidated Palpatine. The theme throughout the series has been the search for balance, the importance of family and how love is truly the most powerful force. ALL of those themes could've been accentuated through the merging of Rey and Ben. The final defeat of Palpatine not through a battle of light sabers and lightening - but the Dyad truly showing their power and defeating Palpatine with their love and the balance they brought to the Force.
I prefer Ben perspective that you should only follow the force as that is life and to them God, serving the light and dark is just you choosing how you determine your life using the force as a tool

I think it would be a cringe trope tbh if Kylo kept repeatedly failing to support his own side. I think they did right with the way they redeemed him, I just wish they didn't kill him off
I like the idea of Han Solo not dying by his sons hands. That one act made me really hate the forced romance between Kylo and Rey. I really like most your story change up and feel overall it is a stronger story than what the franchise gave us.

Unpopular opinion:Fans ruined this trilogy. I watched these fans rip episode 8 apart then they got mad when episode 9 was just fan service overload. Was episode 8 perfect nope but it was original and really cool. These studios have to learn to when to ignore these fanbases.

I liked the sequals, but I think the plot would've been much better like this, even at the expenses of some iconic senses between the two.(Rey and Ben)
The only way to save the sequel trilogy is to go back in time and have it be about Luke, Leia, and Han. Introducing a set of new characters in movies 78 and nine was the most ridiculous decision they made. They should have met Ray halfway through nine and continue the story like that.
Saying that a better romance between two characters that shouldn’t exist or be a part of the movie would have saved It is a very bad take.
Watch Cinema Therapy's Video on Luke (psychology of a hero) and you'll understand that most good themes in the sequels would be undermined if they were about the original cast. Leia, Han and Luke have grown old, Luke has grown past using the force to fight. He now uses it for knowledge, like Yoda told him Jedi do in Episode 5.
Making this weird ass ship happen wouldnt fix the sequels, that kiss was the most what the fuck moment of the entire saga.
Why don't you put your ideas mentioned in this movie into a fandom sequel trilogy? I would love to see a trilogy expanding the dyad concept and also Rey's seduction to the dark side followed by her redemption back towards the light.
I would like to see a palatine sith Rey whp will redeem herself by having found Palatine's weakness in how to destroy him first by taking his place as emperor and then by returning to the light.
Palpatine should never return at all and have Snoak be the big bad of the sequel trilogy but Snoak contrasts Palpatine in many ways just like how Kylo contrasts Vader. Snoak doesn't care to try and rule the galaxy and the force itself with an iron fist like Palpatine. Snoak plans to throw the galaxy and the force into chaos and kill those who try to impose order for he believes that's the true way of the Sith.
The Sequel Trilogy was a cut and paste of the original trilogy.

Kylo saves Han, but then he dies anyway and no one misses him and his death has no influence on anything? And no Han appearing to Ben? Not cool.
And how was Luke "influencing" events? Long-distance mind-control? That sounds pretty dark side, plus why the hell didn't he bother influencing events to save Han then?
You have some interesting ideas, but your treatment of Han is an even lower blow than Rey and Ben kissing and then Ben dropping over dead.
i never will understand why he died. why he killed his father. etc. bad storyline. rey and ben together that wood be nice.

The way I would have written it would have been Snoke killing Ray at the end of chapter 8 right as she is converting Ren back to the light side. He then goes Sith bonkers and tries to kill Snoke and Snoke beats him and wipes his mind with the force he then at the very end of the film fights and kills Luke. I’m chapter 9 Ren is plagued by ghost memories and Ray and Luke’s force ghosts show him who he is and he converts to the light about 1/2 way through the film after doing some killing and conquering. The the last part is finding the resistance and getting them to help him destroy Snoke. Oh and Fin is a dam Jedi and the Princess was training him during the start of the 9th film and Ren and Fin kill Snoke for her. And Ren Skywalker leads the new Jedi order they way his master Luke would have wanted.
