"Preserving history through music."
Archivum M.
Description: Today it is best known as the hymn "Jerusalem", with music written by Sir Hubert Parry in 1916. The famous orchestration was written by Sir Edward Elgar. It is not to be confused with another poem, much longer and larger in scope and also by Blake, called Jerusalem The Emanation of the Giant Albion.

I am not British (let alone English!) And i may not be a Christian but i think this hymn is beautiful
It's so much more powerful when you're English AND Christian, but I can see how it's beautiful to others.
My 2nd favourite English song after I vow to thee my country
From Namibia 🇳🇦
Glory to England🇬🇧
This song is really beautiful❤❤❤ God bless England ❤❤❤❤Thank God for protecting England and protecting the kings and queens of England. Amen. Hallelujah, Hallelujah❤❤❤❤✝️🙏
Umm, do you realize that much of that English flag logo covers Scotland (St. Andrew's Cross) - don't get the United Kingdom mixed up with England, the Scottish will not appreciate this!
Without England there is no United Kingdom Scotland is just smaller weirder version of the great nation of England.
@@Abbadon380Absolutely not. Scotland hails from a distinct Gaelo-Pictish culture that was later colonized by the English.
@@joelthorstensson2772 there is no such thing as a Scotland and it's time people stop pretending there is there is only England.
Not sure what palingenetic ultranationalist world you're living on @@Abbadon380
Beautiful. No questions asked.
American to the core but England is the land of my ancestors and the only other country I have that special affection for.
*London-unoffical anthem of Israel*
“Well aksualy it’s Palestine” - 🤓🤡
Isn't the City Divided Between the Two. And if we desire to be technical. Palestine isn't really a free nation. A state with Disputed Sovereignty
"I have never heard of Israel only Palestine" -🛩🏢🏢 Every single Palestinian
@@thedrugdealerinthehomedepot bfuh I am not making fun of Israel
I'm Israeli and even I can understand that the words in this song are metaphors and nothing else whatsoever
Awesome ❤❤ Praise God forever , God preserve Kings and Queens of England forever❤❤❤Glory to the King of England ,glory to God, glory to England❤️🇬🇧
JERUSALEM
(State Anthem of England)
Lyrics in English:
And did those feet in ancient time
Walk upon England’s mountains green?
And was the holy lamb of God
On England’s pleasant pastures seen?
And did the countenance divine
Shine forth upon our clouded hills?
And was Jerusalem builded here
Among those dark satanic mills?
Bring me my bow of burning gold!
Bring me my arrows of desire!
Bring me my spear: o clouds unfold!
Bring me my chariots of fire!
I will not cease from mental fight;
Nor shall my sword sleep in my hand
Till we have built Jerusalem
In England’s green and pleasant Land.
BÄYT ÄL-MÄQDİS
(Angliä töbäge gimnı)
Tranlated into Tatar:
Borın zaman keşeläre
Elek biredä yörgänme?
Allahınıñ päyğämbäre
İngliz cirenä iñgänme?
Bezneñ Watan tufrağına
İman nurları señgänme?
Şaytan tegermäne urınına
Bäyt Äl-Mäqdis tözelgänme?
Altın cäyämne biregez!
Uqlar, söñge kiteregez!
Açılsınnar bolıtları!
Telgä kilsen kük tupları!
Min köräştän tuqtamam hiç,
Bulır qılıç gel qulımda,
Tözelgänçe Bäytäl-Mäqdis
Güzäl Angliä quyınında.
