I believe the Nebula is by far one of the most underrated ships in the Federation. Its more versatile than standard Galaxy class ships and compact which is a preference of mine. I believe a full tactical warship style variant based on tech designed for Akira and Defiant class ships is warranted and needed.
Well, if the DS9 TM is to believed... heh... it was likely outfitted with at least 1/3 increase in offensive capabilities and uprated engines. Who can speculate what they did with the structural integrity, sensors, power generation, and hull shielding. They were beginning to study captured Dominion technology, which was more advanced. If you take impressions from "Message in a Bottle" a Nebula was sent to catch the USS Prometheus, designed to travel faster than any Starfleet contemporary. Not only did it catch up, it obviously threatened Prometheus, causing light damage before it was disabled in a MVAM attack pattern. In a less sophisticated attack pattern, the Prometheus just as quickly obliterated a far larger Warbird despite having been damaged heavily by both Romulan and Starfleet weaponry. Also, the more agile Akira withstood a brief engagement with three Warbirds on spite of its larger size and reduced agility compared with the two Defiants. Based on those impressions, the Nebula and Akira are very capable when appropriately crewed.
A full warship nebula is too small to be a true battleship and too big and too crew heavy (by federation standards) to be utilitarian in a pure warship role. Her true value is in the fact that she is a lighter cheaper galaxy and can preform multiple roles well.
@@calderhall1794 im not sure i agree. With post-Dominion War tech a Nebula should have a smaller crew (albeit not in a substantial capacity) but also her size should allow for more advanced modularity and retrofitting. The sheer size of the Nebula could provide ALOT of room for advanced tech regardless of role. Slap on the right dorsal pod and she could be a heavy scout, long range tactical coordinator, seige vessel, medical ship, or whatever the federation requires. Being as big as it is it could supplant or compliment the aging Miranda's.
What actually is the weakness of the Nebula compared to the Galaxy? Internal volume actually looks fairly similar even though the Nebula is a lot smaller. Even dismissing the modular part, the rest of the space should be similarly reconfigurable like a Galaxy. The main thing I see design-wise is no line of sight between the nacelles, so presumably it should be slower, but actually very peak speeds both look like warp 9.6.
My favorite ship class in Star Trek. I remember I had the VCR set to record and when I watched "The Wounded" (one of my favorite episodes) and I saw the Nebula for the first time, my jaw dropped and I stopped the VCR to reverse it and pause at it's image as the Enterprise came alongside. It has a "business only" look to it.
You know it's funny how like the Miranda Class Starships are almost identical to the Constitution Class refit the Nebula Class is like the Miranda Class version of the Galaxy Class with the swung under warp nacelles and the torpedo launchers swung over the saucer section.
There is a countenance or majesty( pre-Borg and pre-Dominion ) Federation ships had that the newer more low-profile combat superior ships don't. End of an era. I really like the Nebula-class and makes me feel very nostalgic for the Galaxy-class ships. A great video. Thank you for posting. 😊
It was a product of a more peaceful time, but also one of complacency. The Federation was powerful, but there's always something out there that threatens what they've built. Stately explorers like the Nebula and Galaxy-class had to make way for tougher ships eventually.
Do you remember the bridge of USS Sutherland? (from that episode when Data was an acting captain of that ship) What a hell of a workspace, Galaxy all the way.
For me its the more compact, more versitale, more reasonable design and more reliable ship! At least the Nebula is warpcore dont get malfunction and blown up if some looking at bad or something.
Galaxy. As a Nebula CO, you're probably prone to being stuck on the front lines for months in War and running every damned dirty job a smaller, less capable mule ship can't handle. You'd be be fortunate for either position, as both carry prestige, but you could wind up in an undistinguished career if your Nebula is always sent off on some dull charting expedition.
On Star Trek Online, I named my Nebula-class, U.S.S. Samaras, after the famous inventor, scientist and storm chaser, Tim Samaras. His son Paul played sto and was a fellow Trekkie. I felt, this was an appropriate way to honor their memories.
I didn't know that wedge-shaped superstructure was an interchangeable mission-specific module! That's actually a very cool feature. I don't remember seeing something like that on any other Star Trek ship, but is actually a great idea.
The Miranda class utilizes the same concept with the roll bar which can be equipped with a torpedo launcher or other mission specific units though not seen as much as the Nebula class
@@KJsProjects I feel as though I've heard someone use that term... a lot... about other such ships. Not being sarcastic, I just can't put my finger on it.
@@Deridus Star Trek Online uses compartment modularity as the reason parts are interchangeable between similar ship types. Also the Danube class had swappable mission pods (it's the middle section between the nacelles). Large portions of the Galaxy class are modular, they're just interior, logically because it's so huge. Also all Starfleet bridge modules can be swapped out.
I enjoy the Nebula. It's a nice compact design that clearly follows the design lineage of the time. I wish we would have seen more of these in Next Generation instead of all the Excelsiors.
I love the Nebula. The Cardassians signed up with the Dominion because they were annexed by them, not because it served them particularly to reignite the fight with the Federation. It was the Dominion calling the shots at that point and the Cardassians weren't too happy about it IIRC.
Wow, quite the worthy successor of the Miranda-Class (and the type of ship that would have fit well in Lower Decks over the current ship). Also is it me, or does the name “Nebula” Seem to be quite popular in sci-fi for naming ship classes?
I think they were being a bit lazy with the naming "what's smaller than a Galaxy? Solar system, no that's a silly name. Constellation, no sounds too much like Constitution, but put that name in the back pocket. Nebula, bingo".
The Nebula class is to the Galaxy class what the Miranda class is to the Constitution. Same nacelles, but lower than the saucer. Variable unit behind the saucer. So once you take that into account you can imagine the basic design an Excelsior, Ambassador and Sovereign ‘cousin’ might look like too.
Cardassian Legate: Hey we lets be friends. Is there anything you want? Gul: Give me a squadron of Nebula's Legate: You sure, what about Galaxy's? Gul: Nah Nebula's please. I don't want a cruise ship.
Actually, funny thing is that its pretty much the same between the Galor and Keldon class ships. The Galor is something the Cardassians had for ages, and by itself it was a bit underwhelming, thus being typically used in squadrons or fleets. The Keldon on the other hand was a Galor plus, essentially sharing most of the spaceframe, except for the addition of a dorsal superstructure, with the ship being supposedly significantly stronger than the Galor class, but, apparently also much more expensive, leading to only a limited number being produced, being usually used as either flagships or handed over to the Obsidian Order. Curiously, during the Dominion war the Keldon class practically vanishes, with most examples (probably all that were with the Obsidian Order) having been massacred in the Omarion Nebula, along with the Tal'Shiar Warbirds. With their Dominion overlords in place, its very likely to assume that they would have wanted to have them produce Dominion ships, and they generally did, at least in the ship yards they brought themselves, but Cardassian Galor and Hideki class ships remained in production. Reasons for that can vary, though its probably either that Dominion ship building techniques were incompatible, or that switching production to Dominion ships would have meant a drop in production output due to extensive retooling. However, given the drastically improved performance of the Galor class, its likely that the Dominion at least provided upgrades to the design nonetheless. Now, why wasnt the Keldon being produced during the Dominion war? I assume heavily that its because its a counterpart to the Galaxy class. Technically performs well, has impressive specs, but, like a Tiger tank, is overcomplicated, difficult to produce, and by the end of the day the expense didnt warrant the increase in performance, especially with a focus on fleet operations, where you can just spit out that many more Galor classes and have more boom for your buck. If the Cardassians had been left to their own devices, they might just continue spitting a few out, perhaps as a prestige project, or as a ship for exploration or to command fleets, before production would peter out. But they joined the Dominion, got dragged into the war, and the Dominion wouldnt accept anything less but the absolute maximum boom for the absolute minimum amount of buck, as is their own practice with Jem'Hadar attack ships. And this turned into way more of a rant than I intended.
When you combine my favourite starship (the Miranda class) with a galaxy class starship, you have my 2nd favourite starship. Love the Nebula class. A very worthy successor of the Miranda class.
I wish we'd seen more variants of the Nebula. That modular upper pylon had a lot of potential, especially during the Dominion War in DS9. Plus it would have made a ton more sense to see these interspersed in the fleets than all those Mirandas.
Love the Nebby. One of my fave ships in Star Trek Online. Although its a science vessel in the game it has lots of tactical options making it a great Tactical/ Healer or Tactical/ Crowd Controller. The Fleet varient is even better.
I loved the Nebula class. Wish a series could have been focused on her. She came to the rescue of the Big E after Deanna really screwed up flew into the planet! A Nebula could have been named Titan!
I was always hoping to see the return of Captain Maxwell and the Pheonix for the Dominion War! Seeing his military tactics play out against the Spoonheads would have been awesome!
I would´ve also liked to see Jellicoe again..i mean, the man was basically right with everything he stated, and is probably hated so much because Mirana Sirtis could not show of her very attractive Body after he had command...Take the titties and bum away and u get a really mad fanbase...
That was the physical model. If I'm remembering, First Contact was the last time it was used, then in VOY, it was remade in CGI, but without the Slackjaw Nebula secondary hull.
These type of ships are the ones I like the most. They are slim, fast, maneuverable. They are really cool looking .The ships like the Enterprise are big and clumsy.
In terms of engines and mass, the two are roughly equal. It's likely Nebula is slightly smaller, perhaps giving it an edge in acceleration. We haven't actually seen a Nebula out-turn anything as large as the aging Ambassadors. It's the Akira that combines heavy weapons, good defense, and sharper maneuvers. It probably comes at a cost of range and endurance, likely a great deal of multi-role capacity.
Like many others, I too have always loved the Nebula class, my friend however hates it, as he thinks it looks like a Galaxy class that had a bad accident. I don't agree of course and keep falling in love with that ship every time I see it. Thanks for sharing this video!
You know it's weird as mentioned in books like the Star Trek TNG Technical Manual on the Enterprise D it was said the U.S.S. MELBOURNE was said to be a Nebula Class Starship when you can clearly see at the beginning of the Star Trek DS9 episode Emissary the Melbourne was an Excelsior Class Starship the same one who had the entire front sections of her saucer section was destroyed by a Borg Cutting beam at the beginning of the Battle or should I say the Massacre of Wolf 359 as apparently the ship that Commander Will Riker was supposed to be given was sadly the first ship destroyed.
There really should be a general Classification for the "Miranda style" ships of StarFleet. I've always preferred them to the longer more fragile looking main hero ship Constitution/Galaxy class ships (the Excelsior gets a pass because of its muscular neck). They have a pragmatic look to them. It could be argued that the later neckless primary hull attached directly to the secondary hull look of the Intrepid and Sovereign class is a sort of blending between the designs. Although I would like to see a four nacelle variant, but that could almost be what the Prometheus class is (without the multi vector attack mode…). A blend of the two styles would be awesome.
I just thought of this, technically the Nebula class is designed better than the Galaxy. This is because the main hard points are closer together, which increases structural integrity and like what Spacedock has said, it's modular which makes it adaptable too most situations.
3:14 - That is not entirely true, the Cardassians where invaded by the Klingons because the Klingons thought the Detapa Counsil was overtaken by changelings. So the Klingons destroyed most of the Cardassian Union and therefore Gul Dukat was seeking 'safe haven' with the Dominion. He also knew that he could not count on the Federation because the Klingons were still allies of the Federation. The Cardassians could not turn anywhere BUT the Dominion. And of course the Dominion saw this as a perfect opportunity to get a foothold in the Alpha Quadrant. Let's just say that if the Klingons never attacked Cardassia they might never became Dominion members. But we will never know for sure, because of this line Dukat said to Kira "In the last months I have been secretly negotiating with the Dominion". You might wonder how long he had done that, and if this was even before the Klingon invasion. What also strikes me odd is the fact the Dominion took Cardassia into their fold because the Female Changeling once said to Garak "Cardassia is dead, the moment your people attacked us, you sealed your faith", so.......I think Dukat must have been in some tough negotiations to get this done.
That was absolutely wonderful. I love learning about Starfleet ships and their variance. I have always dreamed of learning enough to create my own formidable Fleet. I love Star Trek
Ive fought the Iconians, the HERC, The Borg, The Nakul... All while in command of the USS Phoenix.. I have been in love with her since 1991 and will never let her go.
When I first saw the Nebula Class I had one thought on my mind 'Just how many Starships is Starfleet gonna build like that' I mean they designed the Nebula Class in similar design to the Galaxy Class like they did with the Constitution Refit Class and the Miranda Class.
"A fourth variant introduced in 2367 would see a new style upper pod accomodating several nightclub and bar facilities, serving a variety of cocktails and shots....." Did you read this in Daniel's voice?
Star Trek Online is a lot like it tbh. I might even say "as good" - the difference is if you want to command a fleet you got to actually command other players. Otherwise you're just flying your own ship and whatever shuttles/fighters/frigates/light escorts you can launch from your ship's hangar facilities. I like how they keep the game up to date too.
@@hoodaticus From what I saw, the Online Nebula is slow, slower to turn, and not especially well-armed, nor able to tank much damage. It struggles to take down frigates older than itself.
This was a great addition to Star Trek's federation line-up. I see the ship as filling the brief put forth for the Miranda Class design in 'The Wrath Of Khan'; some ships 'boldly go' but there needs to be a utilitarian ship as well.
Or a mini-series aboard his New Orleans-class Rutledge frigate. There are plenty of stories to be told before Maxwell and O'Brien were changed before a certain massacre. A Federation frigate taking on one or more Galor? That would be an interesting match. We could even see some of the smaller Cardassian warships strategically engaging the more capable Starfleet ships of the day, maybe even a Galor-Excelsior match. I'm counting on Excelsior.
I'm betting one of the reasons the Cardassians sided with the Dominion in the war against the Federation is probably because the Cardassians were getting tired of the fact that they're ships were no match for Federation starships like the Galaxy and Nebula class which had stronger shields and more powerful weapons systems where Cardassian Galor class Warships just had disruptors the Galaxy and Nebula classes had both phasers and photon torpedoes.
Usually disruptors are stronger than phasers of the same age though..Unless you are cardassian and are apparently able to make an intelligent weapons plattform that has better weapons and shields than even an intrepid class starship...but somehow screw up on the ship construction part
The Nebula-class was originally conceived as a much smaller contemporary design to the Galaxy, but in something of a frigate scale. As it turns out, Ben Maxwell, Captain of the Phoenix, commanded the USS Rutledge. The Rutledge was a New Orleans frigate which was built from a smaller scale Enterprise-D model. It has the distinction of being in more incarnations of STAR TREK than any other Starfleet ship. Besides the variations on modular equipment pods, the Nebula has variations on the engineering hull. The earliest seen were of the physical model, which featured the Slackjaw Nebula appearance. Following First Contact, the CG hull resembles a truncated Galaxy hull.
You know it's weird that Starfleet would build Starship classes like the Miranda and Nebula Class Starships like that I wouldn't be surprised if somewhere down the road they do the same with the Sovereign Class.
I really like this class of ship, probably second only to the Excelsior refit. In fact I like it so much I have a clear cast Galaxy class kit I'm going to kitbash into a nebula and hang off of the ceiling as a moodlight.
I love the Nebula-class starship. I wish they would have shown the interior of the ship. There's just something about this class that makes it so cool. Even on STO I have a Nebula class.
I might be wrong but i think i remember that there was a variant without the saucer section that was intended to retrieve stranded galaxy saucers. I forgot were i read about it.

I believe the Nebula is by far one of the most underrated ships in the Federation. Its more versatile than standard Galaxy class ships and compact which is a preference of mine. I believe a full tactical warship style variant based on tech designed for Akira and Defiant class ships is warranted and needed.
Perhaps the Avenger-class from STO?
I tend to agree. There's just not a lot of majesty and stateliness that I find in the Sovereign, Defiant, and Prometheus for example.
It was a product of a more peaceful time, but also one of complacency. The Federation was powerful, but there's always something out there that threatens what they've built. Stately explorers like the Nebula and Galaxy-class had to make way for tougher ships eventually.
Let's do a poll. Like if you would like to be in charge of a Nebula class or comment to be in charge of a Galaxy class
@@FolgoreCZ Reminded me of a submarine type bridge.
@Nathan Zhang Who answers to who?
The Nebula class is over of my favorite starship designs. Thanks, SD!
Now that is one hell of a ship dame good job on it
One of my favourite space frames from star trek. The awesome ability to have a fleet of them with differing load outs always appealed to me.
On Star Trek Online, I named my Nebula-class, U.S.S. Samaras, after the famous inventor, scientist and storm chaser, Tim Samaras. His son Paul played sto and was a fellow Trekkie. I felt, this was an appropriate way to honor their memories.
Don't forget the Nebula class was also involved in the battle against the Borg Cube during the battle of Wolf 359 as well.
Yeah it's a "Minor refit"
@@KJsProjects I feel as though I've heard someone use that term... a lot... about other such ships. Not being sarcastic, I just can't put my finger on it.
@@Deridus Star Trek Online uses compartment modularity as the reason parts are interchangeable between similar ship types. Also the Danube class had swappable mission pods (it's the middle section between the nacelles). Large portions of the Galaxy class are modular, they're just interior, logically because it's so huge. Also all Starfleet bridge modules can be swapped out.
One of my favourite ships! Thank you.
One of the best ships in the fleet. Would be so excited to command one. They are a powerhouse in their own right.
Wow, quite the worthy successor of the Miranda-Class (and the type of ship that would have fit well in Lower Decks over the current ship).
Also is it me, or does the name “Nebula” Seem to be quite popular in sci-fi for naming ship classes?
Oh c’mon the Cerritos is supposed to be a Oberth Replacement Vessel or ORV it looks quaint with it’s double hulled design.
Lower Decks is supposed to be a goofy show, so they gave it the (IMHO) the goofiest-looking Starfleet ship.
I think they were being a bit lazy with the naming "what's smaller than a Galaxy? Solar system, no that's a silly name. Constellation, no sounds too much like Constitution, but put that name in the back pocket. Nebula, bingo".
literally naming a ship class after a ball of hot gas
@@obiitom The Constellation Class had already appeared with the USS Stargazer.
The workhorse of 24th century Starfleet. Always enjoyed seeing the class on screen
I don't care that the Nebula is a kitbash of a Galaxy-class... still love that ship!
And yet the Nebula class is portrayed as a weaker, poor man's, version of the Galaxy class. Seriously underrated.
Nice. Always pleasant to see the Pocket Galaxy as I call them in a positive light.
Yeah, the Nebula is the respectable backbone and workhorse of starfleet as the Miranda class was after TOS era!
I know you’ll never read this Spacedock, but can you do a video about the USS Calister from Black Mirror?
Support this man. Likes for the algorthiim god.

Gul: Give me a squadron of Nebula's
Legate: You sure, what about Galaxy's?
Nebula is one of my favorite Federation ships. I often go back and forth between it and the Ambassador.
I just recently had to defend one of these in Star Trek: Bridge Commander (which I love). It's, as Riker would say, a tough little ship.
When you combine my favourite starship (the Miranda class) with a galaxy class starship, you have my 2nd favourite starship. Love the Nebula class. A very worthy successor of the Miranda class.
I like the idea of the removable mission pod, it seems more practical than the galaxy class detaching the entire primary hull
I wish we'd seen more variants of the Nebula. That modular upper pylon had a lot of potential, especially during the Dominion War in DS9. Plus it would have made a ton more sense to see these interspersed in the fleets than all those Mirandas.
Awesome video and stay healthy and an awesome day
Love the Nebby. One of my fave ships in Star Trek Online. Although its a science vessel in the game it has lots of tactical options making it a great Tactical/ Healer or Tactical/ Crowd Controller. The Fleet varient is even better.
I know its not the favoured ship of Trek fans, but I love the Nebula, I just really like the compact design.
The shot of the Oberth and Miranda next to the Nebula shows just how utterly massive it and the Galaxy are compared to ToS ships.
The Nebula in Generations is still the best looking version.
It's so crisp and so well lit. Generations in general is a great looking movie. If only the script would'nt be so shitty.
That was the physical model. If I'm remembering, First Contact was the last time it was used, then in VOY, it was remade in CGI, but without the Slackjaw Nebula secondary hull.
I love the nebula class! I prefer it over the galaxy class! 😎
Oh could you do the Saber class escort next?
Thanks for giving some love to the Nebula!
I love how chunky the nebula looks and love tye idea of the weapons pod it rly is like a super powefull miranda class
Can't wait for your next video. Keep'em coming! 👍🏻
Ive always liked the design of the nebula class
My favorite TNG vessel hands down!
Nebula is a great little ship and always one of my favorites.
I just thought of this, technically the Nebula class is designed better than the Galaxy.
This is because the main hard points are closer together, which increases structural integrity and like what Spacedock has said, it's modular which makes it adaptable too most situations.
My favorite Federation Ship Class... They could have done so much more with the module on the back though.
Dukat apparent even had a plan to remove the dominion presence once they won the war against the Federation and Klingon.
That was absolutely wonderful. I love learning about Starfleet ships and their variance. I have always dreamed of learning enough to create my own formidable Fleet. I love Star Trek
Nicely done video on the _Miranda_ class starship’s much larger descendant.
You don't realize the scale of this ship until it's compared to its 1960s variant in 3:26. It's huge.
One of my favorite class of ships! What a work horse!!
This is my second favorite class after the Akira. I really enjoy that design lineage.
There’s a medical variant of this as well. Where the upper pod is used for labs, recovery beds and other medical needs.
I like this 'kitbashed' Galaxy class from TNG, it almost reminded me of the Miranda class, Reliant from Khan.
Take care, and all the best.
Ive fought the Iconians, the HERC, The Borg, The Nakul... All while in command of the USS Phoenix.. I have been in love with her since 1991 and will never let her go.
the Nebula was my favorite design to come out of TNG...
itsa real shame they forgot to put impluse engines on it ;)
When I first saw the Nebula Class I had one thought on my mind 'Just how many Starships is Starfleet gonna build like that' I mean they designed the Nebula Class in similar design to the Galaxy Class like they did with the Constitution Refit Class and the Miranda Class.
"A fourth variant introduced in 2367 would see a new style upper pod accomodating several nightclub and bar facilities, serving a variety of cocktails and shots....."
Did you read this in Daniel's voice?

Dominion War Nebula: *_GLASS CANNON_*
Ahh, this takes me back to the old PC computer game Star Trek: Armada
Star Trek Online is a lot like it tbh. I might even say "as good" - the difference is if you want to command a fleet you got to actually command other players. Otherwise you're just flying your own ship and whatever shuttles/fighters/frigates/light escorts you can launch from your ship's hangar facilities.
I like how they keep the game up to date too.
@@hoodaticus From what I saw, the Online Nebula is slow, slower to turn, and not especially well-armed, nor able to tank much damage. It struggles to take down frigates older than itself.
Hey three uears after posting Ive found your content and your trek ship breakdowns are perfect 💯
This was a great addition to Star Trek's federation line-up. I see the ship as filling the brief put forth for the Miranda Class design in 'The Wrath Of Khan'; some ships 'boldly go' but there needs to be a utilitarian ship as well.
Don't let Janeway know there is coffee in that nebula. There may be another massacre!
Would have been a good hero ship for a series. Capt. Maxwell was just taking out Cardy's at will.
Dirty bunch o' spoon heads. Lol!
Thanks Daniel for all of your work. Great video as usual.
One of my favourite ship, as well as intrepid class
Ben Maxwell showed the cardassians what that ship can do in the right hands
You know it's weird that Starfleet would build Starship classes like the Miranda and Nebula Class Starships like that I wouldn't be surprised if somewhere down the road they do the same with the Sovereign Class.
The Reliant(Miranda Class)...Next Generation edition! I loved it when the Phoenix was presented...I just whispered to myself "Reliant".
I really like this class of ship, probably second only to the Excelsior refit. In fact I like it so much I have a clear cast Galaxy class kit I'm going to kitbash into a nebula and hang off of the ceiling as a moodlight.
Excellent overview
I love the Nebula-class starship. I wish they would have shown the interior of the ship. There's just something about this class that makes it so cool. Even on STO I have a Nebula class.
When I outlined my elementary school ST fan fiction, it was set on a Nebula class.
I might be wrong but i think i remember that there was a variant without the saucer section that was intended to retrieve stranded galaxy saucers. I forgot were i read about it.
It was another kit bash using spare parts laying around the effects work shop. Same deal with the Reliant in Wrath of Kahn.
Wow - i never thought that the Nebula was so 'long'. It really seems like it's just a bit over... 300m or so. But 442m is not what i expected!
2:00 "Unlike most Federation vessels, the Nebula features no aft mounted _Impulse Engines_ and _is forced to rely on your ability to overlook this otherwise glaring flaw in design."_

I want to art it with a separated saucer. It would look pretty cool with the compact drive section and that middle pod
Yes one of my favourites
Fantastic video, really well discussed!
Basically... the Nebula is to the Galaxy, what the Miranda is to the Constitution.
Would not mind commanding a nebula with that tactical module.
And the Centaur was the same to the Excelsior (though it was rarely seen)
Should’ve been a similar take on the Sovereign but the from what little I’ve seen of Picard the studio has abandoned the TNG aesthetic completely
@@TheDjbz There was a companion to the Ambassador class as well with the same kind of design. That was to be the USS Pegasus, but at the last minitue it was changed to a Oberth class.
@@TheDjbz Funny you mention the Sovereign and how there are "Miranda" versions of other ships like the Centaur to the Excelsior.
