Nice job! I tried to etch something with a salt and vinegar solution and battery charger. Sure didn’t get the same results you did. Is that the same solution you used?

@@kenfochtman8698 thanks for the question. I used salt and vinegar, I used a combo of 9 volt batteries connected… if you see the solution bubbling up, then you know the chemical process is taking place. I did it for about 5 minutes or so. Also, I used vinyl cut decals to get precise designs. Let me know if you have any further questions.

Awesome! Which type of steel is that? I have the same kind of casting in a tool steel, came with the same grey coating. Need to heat treat it to get it hardened. Very nice results, thanks for the video.

It was the 6150 total grade steel I did not hard in this one because it’s solely for decoration purposes I would imagine that if I hardened it and then did the electroless us it would take longer to get the same results because your edging into a much harder steel if that makes sense. Thank you for the kind words

@@wayfaringoverlander Hi, are you serious? I was just giving a complement, but of course I would love to have an exact replica of this specific Tomahawk you made. The design of the blade is beautiful. The Benjamin quote “Join or Die” with the colonial snake is perfect. It brought memories from when I visited Philadelphia. I would gladly pay for such a masterpiece, please just let me know the cost. Thank you 😎

@@wayfaringoverlander Actually i just bought a new Cold Steel Vietnam Tomahawk from someone who had it stored brand new for many years. This specific design it discontinued by Cold Steel and so i am very happy to be getting one. So no need to make one for me anymore 😎

@@EGvids1 I saw that Vietnam Hawk. Very cool! I’d love to get one for my dad as he was a vet from that war. I did make him a patriot hawk like the one in this video.
