How to build a Hydrofoil: Screw Holes and Trailing Edge Filling (Video 6/15)

This video: Today, we prepare the hydrofoil wings for the top lamination of fibreglass by first filling any holes and depressions. Specifically, we add a mix of epoxy resin and milled fibreglass powder to the trailing edge to make the surface of the wing flat before adding the fibreglass and Carbon lamination to the top of the wings. In this video we also add a mixed filler to the foil wings screw connection holes We mix up epoxt resin, milled fibreglass and chopped fibreglass to the foil wings screw connection holes. This filler will help strengthen, support and waterproof the holes we will later redrill for the screws to go through and connect to the fuselage.

I ended up getting a fair amount of air bubbles in my screw holes, I had to pick at them with an exact-o knife to fill them back in in the next step. The foils really feel like they start coming together in this step.
