How to Build a Hydrofoil: Wings Resin "Hot" Filler Coat 8/15

In this video, we apply a coat of resin to the top and bottom sides of the hydrofoil wings.
There are 2 ways the resin will adhere to itself. One is mechanical. That is when there is a rough surface that the resin can stick to. The other is chemical, when the new resin will stick to the previous resin when it's not quite set. That's the goal for today! We will apply both coats of epoxy resin, checking back form time to time, waiting for the resin to be hard enough to handle but soft enough to achieve mechanical adhesion.
To do a "hot" coat of resin, all we do is simply paint on epoxy resin with the same 2:1 mix we have been using.

By design, the foil construction helps remove critical mistakes that people can make, leaving them with a hydrofoil that won't fly.
