If I’m ever feeling down I always know a Buckin Billy video with his zest for life and happy spirit will bring a smile to my face. You are a treasure, Billy.
BR, I just came across your channel a week or two ago, and I have to say I've become addicted to your content! You share a TON of knowledge and skill about not just the work, the tools, etc. but also about life and have even shared your personal journey and struggles along the way. I too suffered from the very same struggles for a LONG time, and finally straightened myself out about 11 years ago. It has made my life and my outlook on life significantly better. In this video you also discussed how much you like the physical labor and how it is is more fulfilling to you as a man, and I find my experience to be exactly the same. When I was a kid I grew up doing a lot of hard labor with my dad, Building stone walls, and cutting and splitting cords of wood every summer to use for heat in the winters. I absolutely hated it. I hated that hard work with a passion. But as an adult I've grown to love and appreciate it, and enjoy it tremendously.I have recently gotten back into firewood production for this reason. It keeps me busy, moving, and happy. Thank you for your awesome content, all the knowledge you share, your honesty, and your endless enthusiasm! It's extremely contagious!
A lot of older folks now gonna have a warmer winter, due to the generosity of Easton made and you and your friends Billy! Just found your channel, you are a blessing to your community, thanks for being a working man!!!
That splitter is amazing!!! Also you teased us by making us wait almost 14 and a half minutes into the video before we saw it operate. That splitter will save your back and bless a lot of people in your area. Thank you Billy and Eastonmade!
Andrew makes by far the best wood splitters out there. Congratulations Buckin on a very sweet price of equipment. A lot of people will benefit from this.
What an incredible gift! Because of this generosity, when the day comes that I need to buy a splitter, it will be Eastonmade. My first job was in a shake mill packing blocks, in the mill we had a cuber, which works the same way as this Eastonmade splitter. There were 2 rules for running the cuber, #1-NEVER put your hand on top of the block or you'll cut it off one day! #2-Never put your hand under the block or you'll crush your hand! Remember these 2 rules and you won't cut off or crush your fingers Mr. Smith.
Thank you to Andrew and all the kind people at Eastonmade, . Truly a example that being kind makes a huge difference and that kindness is passed on to many others. Like a small ripple can lead to waves, a small act of kindness to lead to massive amounts of kindness. Be safe Buckin’
Brother the sounds on your videos....takes me to my childhood...tree removal is on of the happiest times in my life...when I think of some of the most amazing moments between my dad and brothers...the sounds and smells of chainsaws...gasoline...sawdust..thank you good sir...
Awesome Eastonmade. Bravo to you Fine folks. Good for you Billy. And, I hear you loud & clear on the Humble Hard Work. I am retired & bought a bunch of logs so I could buck'em with the Stihl & split'em by hand for some good old-fashioned hard work. The tired, stiffness at days end is actually quite satisfying. The crackling fire in the fireplace is just as satisfying while enjoying the end of the day with my wife. Rock on Sir. God Bless.
Way cool for EASTONMADE to do this! I just got a commercial splitter and wow are they a game changer over a "homestore" type splitter. You will be able to do a CRAZY amount of wood with that thing!!!
this is what i imagine when i hear "canadian." raspy voice, but doesn't smoke. cut sleeve flannel jacket, and always looking a bit confused or excited. says stuff as it is. calls everyone a friend. splits wood. a good canadian man.
Your definition of a canadian is far from being the norm. You probably just assume we're all lumberjacks but my love for it is often used to tease me because we don't see too many people even in canada that love processing wood like I do.
Behind the back technique......outstanding....Buckin Billy Ray....All the way ....Much Love and Respect from St Petersburg Florida.....You my Friend are total inspiration......Look forward to your posts....never miss em.....Godspeed to you and family.....
Hey hey Billy Ray, you’re one of my favorite channels. I’m an old man now, but supervised in several machine shops, and also took a few folks to emergency rooms for cut off fingers and other hand damage. Please be safer with that splitter and don’t get into a rhythm with it, if it gets the chance it’ll bite ya. We love ya, so cool it a little. Mike from Michigan
I feel that a healthy fear of loosing a hand or fingers is a good thing....in my opinion ( and it’s just that...an opinion) it helps you respect the machine you are running. Log splitters don’t care if it’s wood or your hand. It will cut it clean off. Smart man for keeping the foot clear when rotating or handling rounds on the table. I love your videos and look forward to seeing much more. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience with us!! Love wins!! Peace be with you
I am in my later years and am not able to do a lot of physical work anymore but Thanks to you videos I am able to sharpen all the neighbours chain saws at the cottage. Gives me something to do and the neighbours like a good sharp chain that cuts straight. No more counting strokes for me
Hey Buckin, I've got a suggestion for you, spray the lift, wedge and table surfaces on the chipper with silicone spray before you start your next splitting job. You'll notice a big difference but you may have to spray them a few times before the wood really starts sliding on them. Spray them again when the logs start sticking to them, and when you get home from a job. You'll notice a huge difference in sliding large pieces on the table and the wedge will go through the wood much easier. Silicone is inexpencive and I use it on items like that all the time. It makes a huge difference in how much effort it takes to slide items on metal surfaces and prevents them from rusting. Do yourself a favor and give it a try. Like the old saying says, WORK SMARTER, NOT HARDER. - Later Bud
You may be impressed by the splitter....I'm impressed by the ball on the front of your truck. That's handier than pockets in your underwear. Really appreciate you giving us the opportunity to work with you buckin. Means the world to us. I really hope you can help a lot of people out with it and make life easier and less stressful for the people in the community.
I don't chop trees or split wood very often, but I stumbled across your channel a few days ago at random. You've got such an enthusiasm and a great attitude that makes your videos a joy to watch, and I think I'd like to watch more of em so I subscribed. That's a pretty fancy wood splitter you've got there. They've come a long way from the one I used 20 or 30 years ago. Have a good day, friend.
Your work ethic is so bonded into your DNA you can't even let the machine take all of the hard work out of it. Great addition to the channel for sure!!
I love watching you adopt an instant high production speed with the splitter, ... just you hav’n fun! Set it up, plan and prepare, and then just rock’n’ roll! BRAVO
I came over from outdoors with Morgan's back before buckin stock 2019, I'm really glad u decided to get the splitter. u'll be able to help a lot of people with that, a lot them tree jobs u and Ganges does puts a lot wood on the ground quick. That will be beneficial to a lot of people you deserve it. Keep up the good work.
Billy that is one fine splitter setup! Love that AXIS - all in one. Big thanks to Andrew at Eastonmade! I am sure a lot of good folks will be at the receiving end of that conveyor. Cheers Billy!
Good evening folks. What a cracking splitter some axes in for early retirement lol. Hello new friends joining the buckin army. Hello true blues. Great video Billy. Have a great week and stay safe. Best wishes from across the pond
Bucking, yew R ah trip. Love your positive attitude. I've split for over 30 yrs, and this is the best machine I've ever seen. I'm 71 now and my splitting days r over. I moved to Florida from the mean cold northeast. Nothing to split here, it's warm or hot most of the time. I really enjoy Yer videos. Keep M coming. Your friend M. Mancuso Sr.
What a way to split wood. That would be nice to have with my spine broken in 2 places. Wow! That log splitter was a fine piece of equipment. Notice how he used his wood splitting machine, that he received for free, to go do a wood splitting job (For a guy that needed the help) for free! THE FATHERS LOVE ALWAYS WINS. May The Most High Bless you Brother.
You are a frickin joy....thank you my friend. Nothing compares to a good hard days work...the first thing God gave Adam to do was work. Love you brother
Man I wish I still had to go you do bad this is the 3 tours in Iraq isn’t what took it out was a dang semi accident last year was rear ended by another semi as traffic was stopped because of a wreck blocking both lanes and for some reason the guy couldn’t see my over sized load and bright strobes brake lights on a 2 mile straight and hit me going 75+ mph the trooper said but it’s slowed me down and it sucks but man your energy is priceless. And love that splitter.
Eastonmade , what a life saver for so many people. The older we get the harder things are. I'm sure it will be put to good use. Thanks, from a subscriber.
I am so happy I ran across your channel Billy. I have been a woodcutter my entire life (almost 70). I love your spirit and the simplicity of your view on life. I think it quite amazing to listen to you share and feel like I have known you my whole life!
That is a beast of a splitter. I couldn’t be happier for the Recipient Program! Thank you, Eastonmade! Helping to spread kindness and to help others. Outstanding! ✊🏼
That Eastonmade splitter is awesome ! I like the configuration, it's different from most. Having a hitch on the front of the truck helps getting into tight spots! Have a great week everyone! 😁🧡🌲
My two favorite channels coming together. Andrew, that was very Canadian of you to give Buckn that awesome axis splitter, and a good business decision as well. Two good Canadian boys doing what they do, Fkn awesome!!!!!
Hi Billy!!😀😀 Andrew Easton is a great person!! He makes a lot of different models of log splitters. That one is a really nice setup. But if you are not in the business of selling firewood for a living. I don't know if you could afford to have that model just sitting around. Now your axes are going to get dust covered. LOL!! Now our conversation we had the other night makes sense. LOL!! Take care my friend and enjoy that splitter!! Logger Al
@@sanityfade :) I don't care much for the ultra. The pusher plate on it is way too short and the bigger blocks like to flip backwards instead of going through. The pusher plate needs to be the same height as the wedge so it doesn't do that. I said something to Andrew about it but he didn't want to hear it. Too bad!! Otherwise it's a good splitter.
The pusher should be only tall enough to be mid point of hydraulic ram. If its higher you put it in a bind much easier. If it slips weld some spots or something to add traction. Or cut straighter! A tall pusher needs a longer base plate for the pusher or you'll wear the beam much faster.
@@sanityfade :) Everything you said is true. So either the either the wedge needs to be shorter or the cylinder needs to be raised up to accommodate a taller push plate . I watch Joe from Joe's firewood struggle with blocks flipping backwards and actually the pusher got stuck in a block and when he returned it the block hit the control valve and broke the fitting that it is mounted on. It's just a bad design and I would never buy it.
Billy, I just came across yer channel this morning while sitting in my little sewing shop here in Los Angeles. I look forward to the day when I get move out of this cess pool and into a nice small town like it looks you're situated in. I want to work the land, but continue with the trade I'm in(custom sewing, more heavy duty items). That old red Ford truck of yours is EXACTLY what I'd love to call my daily driver one day. Subscribed just now, simply for the man talk and the cool stuff you seem to share on your channel.
That splitter woud probably work good on the big garden sitka we have here in the Lofoten Norway. Happy for you new machine and be cereful with the hands
I watch a fair few firewood related channels and I have to say that the Eastonmade splitters are much better designed, built and capable than pretty well anything else I've seen. Andrew gets out and gets dirty and puts the machines through their paces so he knows what works. His machine have power, speed and simplicity. Most other machines out there struggle to have 1 of those 3 features.
My Grandfather has A Smaller unit But Way Smaller. He has the + design. Makes 4 qtrs out of each log.. But the Single Head Gives You The Ability to Precise Splits.... It Pays For Itself Just For The Lift Feature 🙂 Im 36 and Destroyed my Back..Work Smarter not Harder
Listening to you and your positivity lifts me up more than you could ever know. Thank you for spreading love and kindness. Sending it back, from Orange County California 😁
Well do e Buckin! I remember subscribing when u had 12,000 subs. You have not changed a bit when it comes to your mission statement. Look how quickly love and kindness is spreading from the platform you have created! I enjoy all your vids. Thank you for your wisdom.
Another thing with with a signal cylinder engine, leave it on the compression stroke,(TDC) an Irish man told me this with my outboard years ago, it makes a good difference when damp air is about.:)
I'm a woman and love doing things outside also, like splitting wood. Grew up that way. I may not be able to do it as well as a man because of strength. But I love the woods and do the best I can. I think if some of these people would use their energy splitting wood they wouldn't have time to riot. and would be much happier people. Blessings to All. Be Peace.
Billy I worked 18 years with Ford dealership and it does my heart so good to see a old icon truck look and sound ready for work. The log splitter is awesome. A cuz of mine and I took a regulator log splitter and put it on a trailer and made same auto pick up and we love it . Thank you for being a man of your word.

Subscribed just now, simply for the man talk and the cool stuff you seem to share on your channel.
Great splitter but my favorite is the behind the back toss to the conveyor!!!
NOW THATS A WOOD SPLITTER!!!!
Great Video Thanks !!!!
That splitter woud probably work good on the big garden sitka we have here in the Lofoten Norway. Happy for you new machine and be cereful with the hands

You’re such a wonderful man Billy Ray, I love what you stand for and respect how you chose to live 🙏
I AM GLAD YOU ARE WITH US FRIEND LOVE TO YOU AND YOUR S,,, SINCERELY
I watch a fair few firewood related channels and I have to say that the Eastonmade splitters are much better designed, built and capable than pretty well anything else I've seen. Andrew gets out and gets dirty and puts the machines through their paces so he knows what works. His machine have power, speed and simplicity. Most other machines out there struggle to have 1 of those 3 features.
That thing is a beast. Lightning quick too. Nice big table for moving your splits on. Pretty nice gift my friend.
You look like “The Wild Man” running that splitter!
your doing extremely well Buckin. I am extremely proud of you so keep up good work. 😊
change head to 3 way splitter instead of one bite at a time... nice splitter.... i like the conveyer and wood lift...
thanks 4 video. be kind.
YOU MEAN TO MAKE IT MORE DANGEROUS . LOLOLOL
That Andrew is quite the guy . He's already given a few splitters away . GP Outdoors just got one the other week .
Wow Daniel son ! That's a mean splitter
That’s awesome Buckin! EastonMade is a great company and product we love our EastonMade 9-16.
Damn good advice
Fantastic buckin! Have a great time, enjoy and many more great videos to Ya. Nick, North West Farmer
Be Peace.
You got that right , ma'ma. Spot on
It's the curse of the city life.
It's like living in a boring jail.
City makes people crazy.
Billy I worked 18 years with Ford dealership and it does my heart so good to see a old icon truck look and sound ready for work. The log splitter is awesome. A cuz of mine and I took a regulator log splitter and put it on a trailer and made same auto pick up and we love it . Thank you for being a man of your word.
the army has a new weapon in the arsenal now. who's gonna stop us? nobody! keep up the fight for kindness
