Seminal cut of vinyl....
35 years later and still sounds fresh
it doesn't, its crap. i was there i thought it was good, but looking back its crap
@@peterprince780 this, MARRS, later S Xpress, Bomb the Bass and the house music scene was a rush eargasm at the time. There was nothing much like this in the charts by this time. Colonel Abrahams Trapped, Harold Faltermeyer, Orange Juice Jones, about as far as it had got for club house music. It got even better after this 1986, 87 period. 88, and the summer of love 1989. Rave 91 and techno 92 on. Well I enjoyed my 18-24 year old time.
Looked promising until the 90s when the market jumped on rave and glued it to the mainstream in the battle against young people, and won.
yeah n that cowbell . quality addition to a great track 🎹
@@peterprince780 you're talking out of your arse.
YESSSSS......Found it by whistling the tune to UA-cam mic. Take me back to 1987.
That's the one, Soldier, If in doubt whistle a happy tune
Had this on Now That’s What I Call Music Vol. 11 (way back in 1988).
Still love it today (2021).
So did I! I wore the tape out playing it! Still love it today too!
@@sararichmond8476 2024! Now on my headphones!!!
One of those moments when you rediscover something that you didn't realise you'd even forgotten. Goosebumps. What a truly epic track. It's a journey from whoa to go and it's like I'm on my Skates again, or skateboard, or BMX, or Commodore Amiga. FANTASTIC!
Or on E !!!
For me; it was a distinct memory, Ice Skating at Silver Blades (Birmingham) and In Solihull… 😊
wicked xxx
We get it. You love to RIPOFF, and make inferior versions of classic Chicago house tracks.
How can you possibly realise you forgot something, before you remember it?...
probably one of the most definitive house tracks of the eighties, loved this the first time it got air play! classic uk house!!!!
I was 13 years old, in Germany it was 1987, and I saw the Beginning of HOUSE and ACID HOUSE ...!! 😍😍😍👍👍👍
Omg this takes me back to a time in my teens where life was so good no phones and lots of house parrrrrrtaaayyys
100% it kicks the ass of a lot of tracks that have come since. Fantastic piece of work.
👍 Yeah!" 🍄🔑🧩
Love these old house music tunes you never hear them any more ,going to have to dig my old vinyl out
Probably one of the most electrifying dance tracks Eva made love it as much today as first time u heard it... Stands the test of time and some... Moves ur body and ur soul
They used to play this at southsea skatepark in 88 when I was 13 and I’ve searched for it many times over the last 30 years and could never find it. I just always had that piano riff in my head forever. Tonight I found it in 1 minute.
Fuckibg unbelievable and fucking amazing
Words can’t describe the feeling this gives me
@Andrew. Yeah this is an amazing track. Have this on vinyl.
👍🍄🔑🧩
If you like this that much listen to Ed Stratton's album under the moniker Man Machine!
Not sure why you couldn't find it, it was never lost on UA-cam
Proper 80s electric drum sounds and handclaps 😁 👍
It's 1987 again in my house ..& the neighbours are just gonna fkn love it : )))
justinlovesthemixes fuck the neighbours...I left school in 87 and this was a tuuune!!@
WOW! you have blown my mind! 5 years ago when you commented it was 1987 in your house BUT, today... 5 years later... its 1987 in my house??? i knew Brian Cox was wrong.
My neighbours loved this so much, they threw bricks through my windows so they could hear it better... 😄😂🤣
My neighbours loved it so much they decided to call the cops so they could enjoy it too!🚨🚔
The first " House " record I ever had.!!!!! Then after that a huge collection of House & DJ remixes! ( 1987-2000) Best years of House.!!
This is a track out of time.. even now it sounds fantastic.. a master class in how to make it almost painful not to listen to the very last note. Love it!!!!
thirty years this year and still sounding as good as back then!
This, and 'Krush - House Arrest' crossed over into the mainstream in 1987 and became big chart hits. Great tunes!
Say yeh. A lot.
This predates all that DJ Snake stuff by about 25 years, astonishingly, but sounds like it from back then seem to have had a long reach!
And House Nation....😎
@@andybennett1133 Hou, Hou, Hou, Hou, Hou ,Hou House nation !!!
Krush, came from Down the road from me ......Chilwell in Nottingham, Mind you so did KWS!!! LOL
"And in the Beginning there was Jack, and he had a Groove ! And from this Groove came the Groove of ALL Grooves ! And Jack said: ''This is my House, and in my House, there is ONLY House Music !'' And House Music was born. I am the Seed, I am the Creator ...! Let there be House !!! Cause House is an UNCONTROLLABLE Desire to jack the Fire !" 💓💓💓😍😍😍👍👍👍😁😁😁#forgotten80s
You maybe black you maybe white Jew or gentile it don’t make a difference in our house and this is FRESH 🔉🎶🎹🙌🏻🥴
@@BIGSMOKE-bu6gq This philosophy was one of the reasons I loved House so much.
Yeeesssaaaaaaa!!!!!!
And in our House there is only House music !!!
Never thought it would sound so good these days , but boy was i wrong what arrangement of killer keys and still banging as it did back in 87 UKs top dance cult classic 👊👊👊
This track, along with many, many others just kinda proves that that the forgotten GenX'ers' had it the best
Still sounds phat and phunky phresh today. I just love how back then synth sounds were raw and banging. No fancy assed filters to refine the sound, no. They were just totally In Your Face, and I phucking love it.
Still sounds fresh af. Timeless isn't it. 😎
Am I the only one who recorded this off of the radio on cassette?
I had to do a couple of attempts because of DJs talking too much... "shut ur fat pie hole u mouthy windbag, I'm tryin' ta record!" Choooon! :D
Darren Blake. no I bought the 7"
No hahaha
Having just turned 49..yep! I also bought the 7” single from Our Price 🤟🏼
DJ's ALWAYS talk over the beginning and end of a track for that very reason. TO stop you pirating it.
You are not
I love this track ,it was out in 1988 and its still in my head.
I'm 17 and my dad had this recorded on some old tape, ABSOLUTE TUUUUNE
+Stuart Cantlay your dad was a raver...lol
@Mark Richardson i had it on tape as well, cassette single. Was in London then, and it reminds me of driving from The City (where I lived) to Barnes
Best house track ever made
Best house song, soooooo many memories of clubbing to this song !! Great era
A classic of Old, The Fiddler's Pub Dagenham (ish).
Sadly gone. 😢😢😢.
Night trunking down to Colnbrook from Coleshill, in a top range Scania 112, 40T wagon & drag, this & other tracks blaring out of the sound system. That 80 minutes drive soon passed. How I miss those nights! :-(
That's quality love scania trucks and thus song👍
That's a big 10-4
OMG!!! I've just spent the evening on UA-cam playing a load of old classics, from rave, techno, German techno, Italian house, trance... and came across this... it instantly transported me back to '87. Thanks for the upload.
yep,87,the year i left school,started pubbing/clubbing x
Memories, omg.. I was 15 and played this to death! Just turned 50 now..😯
my sisters pumped this out before going clubbing on a Saturday night I must have only been 8 years old but I loved it then and still love it now I also inherited there records so I still play this on the good old technics 1200's today :)
I could play this on loop 24/7
Undoubtedly one of the best heavyweights of house still shaking the foundations throughout the land. Full on up tempo vibes all the way. May 2020 😎😎 👍👍 😎😎
What a complete classic! Used to speed skate to this! 30 years ago, wow!
So many individual parts that make this. Love the experimental nature of the record and those thumping drum beats are superb.
,
Brings back glorious 80s disco days. This was the record that got me into house
Played this at a party back in the 80’s and cleared the dance floor. I told the birthday girls Dad they just weren’t ready for House Music yet.
No they where ready, I could not get enough
@@bhekuzulukhumalo3967But you ain’t ready for your spelling test, SON!
10,000 EDM artists wish they could rock this hard.
well said THE tune that got me into dance all those years ago and im still a house junky
@Jayfive276 PMSL
EDM is a 'title' recently given to music of an electronic core, it sucks.....this is House, House when it was starting to cross into being Acid House, which morphed into rave, then into Jungle, then into Drum n Bass.....need I go on??
Back in 80s...
I remember my primary school days....
So crazy in music... This song takes me way back in mid80s. Fantastic!
19 bloody 87, where did it all go
19 bloody 87 was a blur . well actully till i was 97 was a blur lol
I moved to London in 85. Went to the Mudd Club that Summer and its all a fantastic blur until 1990 when my daughter was born. Cant remember the name of any of the tracks but Steve Silk Hurley " Jack your body " brought me here from Mark Moores " Theme from S'EXpress ". Hmm what track next to jog my good old memories ???
ron
It's scary isn't it. I was 19 and hitting the clubs. This was the banger tune in Seventh Heaven in Doncaster. Great. Wonderful times. And someone has just given me this on vinyl. Happy days!
I know. Damn frightening isn't it?
Classic just a fuckin classic now and for ever. Sounds just as good as a Saturday morning livener as it did in those sweeeeeet good old days.
This track was made by an uncle/cousin of a friend of mine called Alex. He had it on cassette tape months in advance and we used to play it to death in his old vauxhall cavalier.... ended up going to No2 in the UK charts... the good old days, i miss them...
A forgotten house music classic
Number 6.
the fact that this was in the top ten when i was ten, pretty much defined my taste in music.... startlingly good even now
Smiling from ear to ear thank you ❤
The jack that house built! Still sounds awesome. I kinda wish I was confident enough to go to night clubs back then as this would have been amazing to dance to!
I did go then and yes it was awesome!!
Christ I wish I was young again. Still sounds good today.
Excellent track ❤
man...... MAN thanks for postin this tune... takes me back to being 17 again... full of life... and... ENERGY
+Nicholas David great track I was 16
+Nicholas David Agree and I was nearly 14
I'm still getting mileage out of this in 2017, and seeing the geezers head's turn as an Audi cruises past with this on full chat.
Loving it 2020 still
Still sound so amazing after all these years. Makes me feel like a school kid again :D
+KiddyWorld888 only this
ABOLUTE CLASSIC, where has that time gone??
I’m 52 now but this makes me feel 17 again lol ❤️
Worst part of the tune is the fact I'm now 28 years older from the last time I was listening to it. I wish I could go back in time, oh to be 15 again.
Only this
same age as me then bro, lol..
You think thats bad I was 18 now 50 and still got the 12".
I was ⁹ lol
My all time fav house record from the 80s
Bring the music back please awsome music on a Saturday no was fighting any one just haveing a chill time
January 5th 2020 Costa Blanca Southern Spain and this is BANGING OUT. It's 1.30am and party time :)
1:03 I used to play this in Dixon's or Tandy's in the late 1980's on any available keyboard...
Tandy's? Now I feel realllllllllly old
Duo consisting of producers Vlad Naslas and Ed Stratton. The best house tune ever. Wish I was back in '88 hearing this for the first time again..
Still one of the best house tunes.
Outstanding from back in the day 😊
I have this on a Now video somewhere along with Johnny Hates Jazz and Morris and the Minors doing the Stutter rap. Loved it as a kid good times
Definitely good times. I still have the Now VHS too! !!!
still fresh right now!! :)
This was quite ahead of its time. It sounded a bit like the dance music of a few years later
A great song from the eighties! Brings back happy memories;)
Good God I love this tune!!
Brings back memories of having fun and dancing till the morninglight. I still dig these oldskool sounds and drummachines.
nice memories 😁
Memories of when I first started at Secondary School in 1987/1988.Nothing like the good old days.
First love techno junkie x
It still sounds amazing
thank you axel thesleff for this lovely treasure, a fun short rabbit hole to explore
I remember these toons as a teenager. Still fresh now
One of the best floor fillers ever, Remember being in the Park nightclub near Preston with Black glasses and red braces LOL. 25 years later and I still have it on a CD in the car.... Wish I had a time machine
Spooks in Woolwich they were the days miss em
kids of today have no idea what tthis meant back in the day, good times
paul standing
I know! The underground 'crossover' pretty much started in the U.K. when Steve 'Silk' Hurley - Jack Your Body went to No. 1 at the start of '87, from there it just built and built... and by the end of '89 with Black Box - Ride On Time becoming that years' biggest selling single... Dance/House Music just exploded as we entered into the 90's!!!!!
From 1987 onwards it was an amazing time.
As a kid of today, I am jealous of you old school ravers, completely. Even the footage of raves is more exciting than most aftermovies of todays festivals/raves. Wish I had been around during the scene.
This is still a big tune at a lot of underground raves nowadays.
paul standing game changing tune
You know when you were a kid and you heard a track that made you feel so fucking good. You would just play it over and over and your friends couldn't really understand but you didn't care. This track was one of those.
Haaaaaaa,what an amazing start to a night,get it on ,mint,mint,mint,up yet hooter,cmooooonnnn
All time fave, love all these great House tracks from the late '80's
Not heard this for years. Takes me right back to the day. Thanks for uploading.
Quality tune..... 1luv 😎
🎶🎶🎧Great track🎧🎶🎶
House Music is my life...still in 2013 (from 1987 till now) !!! ;O)
I have this on vinyl, I bought it when I was 15 years old and I knew I was listening to the future. Still sounds fresh now.
Decades later and this *still* astonishing.
The first house music trak.... 😚
Someone from UK is in love with Italo Disco and makes own version of House
BIG SOUND...very nice🎧😎✌
Superb x
My flat mate at the the time, his uncle was one of the duo that made this song. The uncle was a DJ at a london radio station.
Many of my friends had a pre-release version of this on tape over 3 years before the release. It used to start with the burst at 8 seconds.
Ed Stratton? I went to school with him...
Anyone got a time machine!!! Let's go now.
I may be from 1998, but this is Awesomeness!!!!!
Takes u to a special place in time x
kinda timeless in it's own special way.....maybe? a tune that started my lifestyle that is yet to stop. Thank You. love this forever!!!!!
Gotta be 1987 in Bournemouth for me!!
First piece of dance music I fell in love with as a kid. Now 11. ❤
Oh my days!! I had forgotten this and how could I age 17 and just getting into “house “ still love house now in it various forms and still clubbing but only once a month now not twice a week like those days!!!
Dug out my 12 inch version I got back in 88 as a 19 year old. Thanks for reminding me.
I was born in 1987 I think its brilliant proper funkie 😎 👌
Top tune and it still sounds fresh and still sounds better than this crap so called dance music of 2021!!! Nothing can ever touch old school piano house 🏠 music as it still is more popular now as it was back in the day in the very late 1980s/early 1990s 🥳🥳🥳
Love old skool, just awesome, love the flash backs :)
Driving like a lunatic in an old mini with this tune blasting out of the cassette player,
Although I'm now a sensible adult if I had those days again I wouldn't change a bloody thing
top tune hard tune love it !!
Goosebumps everytime😀👌
