I’m so in love and every time I hear this song I start to cry cause this song reminds me so of him and his personality in a good way. He was the pure sunshine .I love to mix with this song. This song is so much more then just music.

I remember working in the record store when this came out. One thing to know is that the best thing for me, working in the record store back in the day... Was receiving a big box of new releases. Unpacking them. Turning them right side up. Pulling one of each for us to listen to on the sound system. We’d put them in the order of what we knew, then what we hoped would be really good. This was one of the last records we played that day. We all looked at each other wide eyed after a few bars of the beginning in rhythm, I stopped it, said “Woah, I wasn’t ready for that, Let’s start it over.” This record is epic. At least it is to me.

This is a misrepresentation. This is the ‘Blackwater’ (String Vocal Mix) remixed by Kevin Saunderson. I say this because if anyone is vinyl shopping, due to the high prices, know what you’re getting. The version in the thumbnail is only 5 minutes, has no symphony intro, and doesn’t even come close to this version that you’re listening to right now imo. Another note is the original version (thumbnail) is actually called ‘Untold’. When this record blew up everyone called it ‘Black Water’, so they just changed it when other labels started pressing it.
Played out for the first time in a while last week and opened with this........unbelievable crowd response.. No dramatics. Just let the needle drop. The intro is bliss. ❤
