Thank you so much for watching! We are excited to be getting close to delivering baby #6! I forgot to mention that I have a free Ebook with our 10 favorite sourdough recipes. You can grab that here: bit.ly/farmhousesourdough Also, the recipe for the sourdough chicken pot pie is coming soon to the blog and this channel. Happy cooking!
Thank you! I am so wanting to begin making sourdough for my family. The timing of your GIVEAWAY couldn't have come at a better time. I love your meal prep video. I truly want to do that for summer/harvest time when I cannot seem to keep up. Food preservation is lovely and all consuming at times. Blessings to your family and your precious addition!💚💚💚
WOW Lisa! That was so impressive. I would be impressed even if you weren't nearing the end of your pregnancy and have 5 other children! I would be so happy and proud if you were my daughter or daughter in law to know how much love you shower on your family by caring for them. Prayers for you, your upcoming delivery, and your family. 🙏
Lisa, you are truly a Living example of the Proverbs 31 woman! I love the way that you are promoting a sensible, frugal, healthy, and homemade way of life! You have a beautiful family! God bless you as you eagerly await the arrival of baby!❤️❤️❤️
Watching you make all that food from scratch, especially those 24 tortillas, was amazing. That is love right there. Praying for blessing upon blessing for your family.
I want your energy! You are by far the best homemaker and mother and wife. Can’t wait to see baby #6. Always enjoy your vlogs. Blessing on you and your family.
Hey Lisa!! I know you’re not a huge fan of foil, but if you want to still have access to you 9x13, line the pan in foil, freeze overnight, then you can take the frozen brick out of the pan in the morning. Peel off the foil and pop it back in the pan to bake. I know I don’t have that many glass dishes so it helps me.
My mother and grandmother were amazing cooks. Although every meal growing up was home cooked I was very rarely allowed to watch them. They both had zero patience for children. It took so long for me to understand flavor compounds and watching you cook now for a 2 years I am a confident cook. Thanks for making content and letting us into your process a d kitchen.
This is awesome and inspiring! I too am learning from her, but still don't have a clue! Not bc she's not an excellent cook and guide, just bc of my fear and lack of knowledge still! I need to just take a dive off the cliff and go for it!
Wow, dara627able, that's so sad. You just encouraged me to spend more time cooking with my daughters. I don't want them to feel they weren't prepared to make good food for their families.
This was a very informative video and I will look up the chicken chili recipe. Thanks Lisa and best wishes to you and your family on your new baby's arrival. My mother taught me to sew from watching her and hands on. But I didn't want to stay inside to learn to cook although baking was fun. Not married, I really began to cook around age 50 when $ to eat out all the time ran out. I am still learning 10 years later. Although much is not company worthy, I like it. Often I buy too much or with two jobs too tired to cook and food spoils. I never got the hang of housekeeping either. I didn't know some of us need to be taught. It's good to learn these things and about finances before high school graduation. You don't necessarily go broke on big purchases only, you can nickle and dime yourself, then a large expense needs to go on a credit card and sometimes can't be paid off right away = more debt. Some of those nickles and dimes should have been saved for such unexpected expenses.
frugalmomofmany me to !! My eldest loves to cook but I get so stressed, I’ve learnt to let go and Keto her get on with it now and she’s great at baking so far (she’s 12) and my middle daughter makes a great scrambled egg on toast (she’s 9) xx
Love seeing a young mom cooking ahead for her family. It brings back lots of memories! The only difference is I always had a child "helping" me. Or like you soon, one in my arms. Enjoy this season of life it will be gone before you know what happened.
You got this, girl. I wish I was as energetic as you. Pregnant women glow. I am a nurse and I know this for a fact. You and your husband seem to truly be a team with the same dream. Bless you all and Gods speed for new baby.
Nesting at its finest! Thank you for all the effort you put into your videos. They are always filled with so much useful info. Wishing you all the best in these last couple of weeks. Can't wait to see what you have and hear the name you pick.
I loved watching this. I would do the same every sunday when I was a working mum. I'd cook and bake for the whole week. I dont have a big enough freezer now but I did love the feeling of accomplishment knowing meals were prepared. It took the pressure off a lot.
Hi Lisa, I watched this when you first posted it. Watching again as it turned up on my autoplay. I nearly turned it off as I've watched it before, but left it on incase I learned something I hadn't noticed before. AND IM SO GLAD I DID! Your tip about how to freeze in glass jars to save them from breaking is so helpful! Thank you 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I’m new to your channel & am loving it! Meal prep the way you are doing it (healthy & fresh) is exactly what I need! I have chronic pain following a work injury & there are many nights I just can’t stand & make a good dinner. Doing this will mean we still can have healthy meals! Also, my oldest daughter is pregnant, so this will be helpful for her too! I can make these meals, keep some & share some with her so she & her husband don’t have to do much to have a yummy, healthy meal! Thanks so much for doing all of the work (& sharing it) so the rest of us can also benefit!
I also meal prep - I'm a mom of 5 living with MS and need to have meals on hand because I never know from day to day whether I have a bad day or not. I meal prep all 3 meals for all of us (my kids are homeschooled and hubby works from home most days), and I usually take at least 2 days to prep but mine is for at least 3 months of meals. My kids help.me, so it's a fun time together. We raise our own meat and grow what we can but it's still a big ordeal and soo worth it! It helps alot to have meals on hand and stress levels are greatly reduced.
Ok, if there's any take away from this at all for me, I need to cook up a few chickens and keep the meat on hand and the bone broth. You even got me with the taco, nacho meat, and the breakfast sandwiches...I have 2 teenagers over here and having those things in my freezer would be lifesavers for me. I'm headed to Aldi tomorrow, I've made my list! 😄
Oh my goodness, Lisa-I’m so tired just from watching you cook all day. I can only imagine how you feel being ready to give birth and doing all that work. 🤦🏼♀️ Great video and I’m sure the recipes are just as great. I’ve added them to my recipe play list. Thanks girl!! 🙌🏻❤️
Great video! The best thing is that your husband can simply watch this to know what’s on hand and the dishes he can serve up ;) Inspired to get a starter going again! All the best for the birth ❤️
Thank you Lisa! Love this video. So handy seeing how you do your meal prep. The pot pie looks amazing.. can’t wait to try it out ! I am nearly ready to begin my sourdough journey.. all because of you making it accessible to us :) so excited for you to have baby number 6 - you are such an inspiration to us all :)
The sourdough tortillas are still my favorite thing to make with my starter. They are so versatile! Last time, I made half of my batch for a camping trip and we used them with every meal and snack! The kids literally used them for a plate and then ate them. The other half of the batch, I let them cook a little longer in the pan and we had some delicious nachos for dinner.
Wow! You are amazing! God bless you for taking care of your family in an amazing way!! I love your energy and your videos! I pray you have a healthy baby!!
OMG!!! You are one amazing woman! You provided such nutritious meals for your family while you have baby & rest some. I so admire you & your never ending talent! God Bless you & your family! Prayers for an easy child birth & a healthy & happy baby!
WOW Lisa!! What an exciting (albeit exhausting) time for you! I remember those last weeks before my children were born and how great it was to FEEL like getting things in order and making sure that the first few weeks with the new Baby were as easy and restful as possible. I would almost say you've started your "nesting phase" ;) I wish you many blessings on your birth and hope that you enjoy this last little bit of your pregnancy.
So amazing watching you do these huge batches of different meals and also food prep :) I'm also a lover of cooking, meal prepping and eating healthy and I'm so happy I came across your channel. We have two boys under the age of 10 in the house and that creates challenges for eating one meal. Your videos are really inspirational in terms of cooking for a family of different ages, even with a baby strapped to your chest. Thank you so much for sharing this and I just think you're amazing and you rock :)
OMG Lisa, you have so much energy! I'm watching this video and the more I come to the end my is just dropping. You did a crazy busy mealprep!! I got really inspired. I hope you and your family are well! Big hug 😊
Just found your blog & saw this. I use my instant pot to pre-cook hamburger as well as bulk sausage. Once it’s cooked then I shred it apart. When I cook it, I put it on a rack and the grease cooks down into the water in the instant pot. I lift out of the liquid & the meat isn’t real greasy. I’ve pre-cooked sausage this way for a breakfast casserole and done the hamburger the same way for lasagna & spaghetti. A great timesaver & healthier w/o all the grease!
Sometimes I don’t turn on the T.V.,radio I just watch your videos!i am always amazed by the life your family lives! And you have such a pleasant and calming voice! I am one of your number one fans!🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Awww, I want to grow up to be just like you! I’m old enough to be your Mother, I’m sure, BUT GOSH DARN GIRL YOU INSPIRE ME! I need NOT BE AFRAID (intimidated) to start my own SDough starter!!! God Bless You & Family AND cant wait to meet Baby #6
Wow! Thank you for sharing all of this hard work with us. I’m sure filming added another element of work! Hope you can put your feet up for a bit and enjoy these last few weeks :)
This is so great! I was just wondering if you would post anything about meal prepping for baby. I’m 37 weeks pregnant now and am starting to think about what meals I want to prep. This helps so much! Thank you!
WHOA!!!! You did ALL that between 9 & 4 on the same day?! With kids at home?! All while you’re nearing the end of pregnancy?! I can’t even do that much in a week as a non-pregnant empty nester!!! You are super woman for real!!! I’m exhausted just watching you do it all!!! God bless you & your family! ❤️ Heading over to your blog to get some of your scrumptious recipes! Thanks for sharing! 😊
YEESSSSS!!!! Thank you for making this video. First you helped me when you posted forever ago about not really meal planning. It was nice to know there were other Moms who are like me in that way. Now this, whole foods but nothing uber fancy, simple cooking gives me more food freedom. Love it!
You have so much energy and are so productive, and you are pregnant. I get tired cooking one dinner for 3 kids. Hats off to you cooking for 7 soon to be 8. U don’t find many large families like that anymore. Did u grow up in a large family and what made u decide to have a large family when everyone is downsizing their family size. People wonder why I didn’t stop after 2 kids. Boy and girl. I like a big family but could not handle more than 3 kids.
Awesome video! What would the world do without great moms such as you. I know your family will appreciate your preparation so much when the time comes for that little one! Going to try the sourdough dough.
I did actually went the rabbit hole watching one of your video after other. Specific time from 9 to 1 because it’s been long haven’t got chance to watch them and happy I did that. I can’t over the idea how you manage everything with so young kids. Please share some parenting advice on your video just about how you watch all the kids while cooking, cleaning and what’s your morning to night routine with them. That would really help as we are planning to expand our little family of 3 👨👩👦 so I can be efficient and productive momma like you.😊 you have such a beautiful family. Thanks a ton and God bless you all. 🙏🏼❤️
So impressive! I love to be organized and love cooking up batches but you are far above my level of accomplishments! Inspirational! I've picked up a few ideas too; love your breakfast sandwich make aheads, I'm going to do those!
@@FarmhouseonBoone your lifestyle choices are fabulous and I loved that your said how much you love being in the kitchen! What a wonderful role model you are
Sweet girl you are an amazing wife, mother and I admire you so much. Hope you continue to feel well. I do hope you get some rest before the baby comes. May God continue to bless you and your sweet family.
WOW!!!! So proud of you & all this while almost due with ypur baby & 5 kiddos. I couldn't do that even not pregnant. Prayers are with ypu & your family. Mary
Love these ideas I'm about to have my 4th and finishing nursing school same week as my due date. I plan to use this spring break to prep some of these for my family. ❤ Thank you!
I bet they were just playing and doing stuff outside around the farm. She did say she had to take a few breaks for the kids, so idk that she had someone watching them besides hubby working there too!
We have placed a bet at work as to when the baby will arrive. I am down for early arrival. Be prepared. It looks like you are well on your way to being just that. Thanks for the video. You have included some great ideas that I will implement for my family.
It feels like you just put out your pregnancy announcement video. I'm so happy and excited for you and your family. Praying for a smooth delivery for you and baby xo!
Sorry I have writing French but for explain my emotion after watching your video. Take good care of yourself and rest with your new baby. Thanks for your charing. YOU ARE GORGEOUS LADY
Whew! Well done!!! This would also be a great idea to have several quick and easy meals on hand in case we hear of someone who could use a meal- perhaps a neighbor w a surgery, baby or death. Prayers coming your way for a safe and healthy delivery.
I absolutely love videos like this! You are inspiring to watch very down-to-earth and realistic. Thanks for the motivation to make freezer meals for this crazy time of year. How long do you cook your whole chickens in instant pot?
I am exhausted watching. But what a great amount of food is ready and waiting for you. I used to do my Christmas baking in marathon baking days and always shared the sweets with family and friends. Now sweets are not as popular as they once were when people are more health/weight conscious. Good job and a relief to know your family will enjoy hearty meals while you are taking care of yourself and a new baby.
Ha this is me ...I cook all from fresh then freeze so I always have meals on hand .I've even started my Christmas food...loved this good luck can't wait to meet baby x
Wow ... I mean ~ WOW!!!! So very smart of you to do all of this ahead of time! I am waiting with anticipation for baby #6 ... what it will be & what you name your new baby. Sending much love to you & your beautiful family!!!!
I'm with you all 5 of mine were at least 2 days but as many as 10 days past their due dates and I think it was perfect. No problems or complications at all.
Looks like I missed this video last baby but your 7th will be here very soon? For the second night in a row you have my appetite up! Love that your freezer meals are home cooked. All the freezer meals I’ve ever seen were made of raw meat, a jar of this or that and a bottle of another store bought flavoring. I fail to see the point to all of that. But your freezer meals are from scratch and pre-cooked, so it’s just a matter of putting them together. Thank you!
Thank you so much for sharing this and all the hard work you put into adding recipe and all to your blog. Our baby #6 is due in January. These ideas will be so helpful when I do my freezer cooking!

I agree about pre-shredded cheese!
They coat it with flour to stop it clumping together. It does taste different - it's awful stuff.

Awesome video! What would the world do without great moms such as you. I know your family will appreciate your preparation so much when the time comes for that little one! Going to try the sourdough dough.
awe you're kind!
Wow! You are so good! I bought tortilla press one more to make tortilla making simple.

Love these ideas I'm about to have my 4th and finishing nursing school same week as my due date. I plan to use this spring break to prep some of these for my family. ❤ Thank you!
You’re so blessed to have someone take care of the kids for all the time this takes!

YOU ARE GORGEOUS LADY
Whew! Well done!!! This would also be a great idea to have several quick and easy meals on hand in case we hear of someone who could use a meal- perhaps a neighbor w a surgery, baby or death. Prayers coming your way for a safe and healthy delivery.
yes! that's a great idea!
Wow! You have true grit to be able to cook and meal prep all day and be pregnant! Bravo to you! Prayers for a safe delivery for Mommy & baby!👏👏👏👏👍👍😊💗
Awesome video! Keeping you and your family in my prayers.
OMG Lisa you are a cooking machine! Awesome job prepping all those great meals!🍽
Ha this is me ...I cook all from fresh then freeze so I always have meals on hand .I've even started my Christmas food...loved this good luck can't wait to meet baby x
You are a hero! God bless you!
awe you're very kind

Wow ... I mean ~ WOW!!!! So very smart of you to do all of this ahead of time! I am waiting with anticipation for baby #6 ... what it will be & what you name your new baby. Sending much love to you & your beautiful family!!!!
Wow Lisa!!! I felt like i was sitting there watching!!! Loved this vlog!! Nesting in full swing...everything looks delicious!! A true labor of love!!
This is amazing, you are amazing!! What a wonderful way to take care of your family! ❤️
God bless you on your delivery.
thank you!
I'm with you all 5 of mine were at least 2 days but as many as 10 days past their due dates and I think it was perfect. No problems or complications at all.
Wow Lisa! You are an inspiration! Thank you for sharing!!! 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍
Thank you!
You are so unbelievably efficient.
You got a lot done. I'm impressed.
Oh girl! You need to get a kitchen air spiralizer! Game changer!! Great video :)
You are my role model. You are just amazing ❤️🙏🏻
awe well thanks!
Thank you so much for sharing this and all the hard work you put into adding recipe and all to your blog. Our baby #6 is due in January. These ideas will be so helpful when I do my freezer cooking!
good luck with your pregnancy!
