When I see you carrying the baby around in the sling I always think to myself how serene and content that baby must feel. When your baby is born they immediately leave your body having being carried around inside for nine months and they must feel that wrench of separation physically. I love that a sling keeps your baby in contact with you and still allows them to experiences all the natural movements of your body as it did in the womb, it really keeps the bond. I regret not doing this with my little one apart from when we went out walking I used a sling. You are such a natural earth mother and wonderful, nourishing recipes too! x
I love how the "big boys" were helping out. How proud your toddler son looked, and your eldest son is so capable! You are an amazing mom in addition to all the other talents you so generously share!
Such awesome breakfast meals, thanks! Daniel has grown so much, he does not look like a baby anymore. I love how your little boy was helping you, such an adorable smile he has!
Daniel is stunning. He and my grandson are roughly the same age. My sourdough starter, Sebastan I named him, is doing really well. The pancakes are lovely, I did my own thing inspired by you, I am also getting there with my signature loaf. I don't know why I did not do a starter before. From my Spanish Village kitchen to your Farmhouse kitchen, hola y gracias xx
I love your honesty about reality vs what your sharing sometimes ha..and liked your saying on one of the Instagram photos that the days task seem intimidating yet who else is to do it all!! Go moms, love your family's love and roles you all take on for one another. Your showing Gods wife and mother role very well, yes we can all do anything but God does have have unique purposes for make and females even in todays world it doesnt change. Keep it up!
I made dinner for breakfast tonight and made a sheet pan pancake. It was light a fluffy and we topped it with melted strawberry jam and powdered sugar. I also like to make apple, cranraisins oatmeal in my cast iron dutch oven. I boil 6 cups of water add apples, raisins and salt and cinnamon and nutmeg and some brown sugar, bring to boil add almost 6 cups oats and let sit for about 10 min. This can be kept in fridge and reheated.
I totally agree with you about the English muffins and making an egg sandwich. I love it!! I put my sourdough in the fridge to conserve the flour I have but I need to make some more of those. I will have to get it out of the fridge.
Your videos and podcasts coming out are such a highlight while being stuck at home right now! I use that blender too and I love it and use it for everything!
I am sorta of new to your channel. I love this. Thank you for sharing. I am learning on how to become more healthy and cook better for my family. Do you have a video or a blog post on the benefits of this cooking?
Love that you are up with the Dawn! Micah intently looking into the camera since he was born, now Daniel does this too! All the children are"movie stars" imo!💙 Thank-you!
😃😃😃 I used your BerkeyFilter link this week and got me a Royal 👑 bundle! Now we are a Royal family!!! 👑Can’t wait. It comes in the mail Tomorrow Friday!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Love your videos! Recipes are especially helpful. Currently have a toddler and infant so it's been so helpful to watch your videos for family life tips.
Hi Lisa! Love these videos. Do you ever soak the oats for the granola or do you think it would change the outcome? Also, do you need to strain off the kefir after soaking the oats or can you cook with all the liquid it's been soaking in?
Hi Brit, I have used both. I tend to prefer the baby carrier I use the most. For now, I am really loving the kinderpack. A few months ago it was the woven wrap... It really just depends on the day and what I am doing :) A few months ago I made a video on all the wraps I have used including the pro's and con's, my experience with them, and how to tie them. You can check out that video here: ua-cam.com/video/SWWn_ldLtTI/v-deo.html. The oscha ring sling and the kinderpack I just bought recently, so I obviously did not include them in the video, but I do love them!
This is very helpful, thank you for the ideas! Will you post some recipes that use a LOT of starter? I have a TON that I’d like to use up and it’s just my husband and I.
Does your double wall coffee press keep your coffee hot for a while? My husband and I are so enjoying coffee via the French Press thanks to your previous recommendation :) We'd like to find a French Press that keeps our coffee warmer for longer :) Thanks so much!!!
Love this. I always have a batch of English muffins made. I make my husband a breakfast sandwich most mornings with them. They also make a great side with soup for dinner.
I'm impressed that you do a different breakfast each day. I was wondering why you soak the steel cut oats in kefir if you strain it off in the morning.
Alexandra Bisset it’s not for flavor, it’s to help break down the phytic acid in whole grains to make them more digestible. You can use any acidic medium such as kefir, yogurt, apple cider vinegar
Look at Daniel! You are going to have a very verbal co-host soon !,, This Baby should be doing commercials Lisa. He is so beautiful and the image of a healthy, stimulated, confident little. You can see he feels so safe and content in his world. Stay Safe!
I love love your videos ❤️♥️ I am on baby number 5 and I was wondering if you are able to share this but baby to toddler addition... Especially with kefir.. I'm just never sure when to transition and include them to their menu😊
What type of acid do you use in your steel cut oats? I have trouble digesting oatmeal normally, so I'd love to try this method. Thanks for the inspiration!
I really enjoy watching your ‘What We Eat’ videos, it gives me so many ideas for what to cook for my family! My son was born Oct 19, so every time I watch your videos and see Daniel it makes me smile. 😊❤️🥰
Thank You from Mission, British Columbia Canada for the info on Steel Cut Oats & to soak overnight then strain. I can now use mine; do you use steel cut oats in your baking..do you use in place of regular oats?? Thanks for sharing, I'm enjoying : D
Your baby is so beautiful! I have a 3.5 month old (my first) and I carry her in the Moby wrap when she’s sleeping, but she hates being in it when she’s awake! It’s difficult to get things done because of that. I’m interested in the sling you’re wearing... can you share what it’s called? I’m thinking maybe she’d like being in it better since it seems like your baby has the ability to look around pretty well. Thank you!
it's the oscha ring sling! I'm really liking it. they actually gave me a discount code for the month of April if you're wanting to buy it - FARMBOONE10 gets you 10% off
I've just started with sourdough and made your pancakes as my first recipe. They turned out perfectly the first time, even though I forgot to add the coconut oil. The next time I followed the recipe and they turned out flat so maybe I'll just leave it out.
Farmhouse on Boone oh wow! So not handwoven then! They sure do a good job of making it look handwoven! That’s awesome! I had an oscha when my son was a baby!
I commented on the English muffin recipe video but I see that is an older video, here is my comment that I made so hopefully you see it here. I see I wasn't the only one having problems and I was wondering if you have changed the recipe on them? Thanks for your videos! You have given me many ways to finally enjoy bread, pizza and pancakes again! I love your pancake recipe. My comment on the English muffins: I was so excited to try these, since I can't eat regular wheat. I used my fresh ground whole grain einkorn flour and strong starter, but it was a disaster. It was like working with sticky bubble gum, and didn't rise in the pan at all. They were like dense thin pancakes. No idea what I did wrong. I used raw honey, could that have killed it?
Gahhhh BABY DANIEL! I have to watch again, I missed half the breakfasts thanks to him. 😍 Do you soak your oats for granola ever? Would that even work? 🤦🏽♀️ probably a dumb question!
Thanks so much for your content! I'm on the website now, but I can't find a recipe for the egg bake (the first recipe you made with eggs, ground beef, and cheese)! Would you mind sharing the recipe?

Hats off to you ladies who are good moms and are patient with your children. We rarely get I thank you and it's more than mother's day.
Daniel cannot get any cuter! Anxious to watch your farm (animals & garden) grow.
Great job with the boys, mom. Love seeing them help! And Daniel is getting so big and precious!!!

I make the same kefir smoothie for my kids and I love to add cinnammon and a little bit of vanilla too!
Sounds great!
Hello! I found your channel and love your video's! Your egg bake looks amazing, what's the recipe/ measurements?

Lisa, could you tell me where you got that stain steel spatula?I can't find it, it's the perfect size! Thanks a lot.
Loved this one! Thanks!
Lisa, where did you get those white bowls? The ones the granola was in! I love the size and thickness!?

Jill Compton, 😄!
Jill Compton I saw that too lol😂😂
In my screen they put Parmesan boom calm, close enough 😂😂😂
Makes me laugh every time
Jill Compton I die laughing at some of the captions.
