I had never played the original game before FF7 Remake but I still enjoyed remake so much. Ended up clocking in around 100 hours and getting platinum. I can't wait for Rebirth to release. Just finished the original FF7 recently and a lot of things make more sense.

The character development is SO. GOOD. Like Tifa is a total overpowering badass, but Aerith has a dirtier mouth, even if by just one word. Which is counter to their environments - Tifa runs a bar surrounded by slum drunks while Aerith lives in a garden surrounded by children.
Not liking how people are talking about Jessie in this game. She has all the right to be forward with her interest in Cloud, that doesn't make her "easy" or lesser. Also didn't like that Cloud said "Are you really that desperate?" in the English version. He doesn't say anything near that in the Japanese, he just says, "What do you mean by that?" Much less judgmental if you ask me. Very interesting that they made it more judgmental/belittling in the American version.
Also comes with the fact she showed her hunger before when she fell during the escape. Not a quote since some time ago: „trust me, if I can’t walk, you’ll be the first to know“. So they used quite the even wording here.

Yeah girl I played this myself and this remake is just AWESOME so far! Its just good to know you played the original FF7, but did you watch the movie that came after called FF7 Advent Children and the PS2 game FF7 Dirge of Cerberus?
Yes and yes! I probably talk about both during this playthrough, but I can't remember. I don't have extremely positive things to say about Advent Children, but Vincent is my favorite FF7 character so I had to play Dirge lol.
You missed some dialogue with Biggs, after you talk to Jessie, Biggs's house is near hers, he is standing outside sweeping, you should check it out next time you playthrough the game, there is nice little moment with him and Cloud i think you would like to see.
5:53:15 As good of a character as Jessie is, this really pissed me off. Jessie is doing everything she can to throw herself at him despite the fact that she knows Cloud and Tifa have a history. If it were me, I owuld have just thrown her off and called her a floosy. However, I appreciate what she did for Tifa when Tifa arrived in Midgar.
I've lived here forever and really, apart from the occasional run down towns there's nothing too bad from what I've witnessed other than terrible driving.

Even their character designs are opposite from what you'd "expect" from them. I always loved that. FF7 is so good ;_;
