dude, I don't have the password to waltz in and change shit around. I did do an intentional power interruption during boot up and got to the repair mode. But I still need a password to do anything on my admin account.
Thats why you need to make a boot USB to bypass the password

Hi, this method requires you to first log in and then make the changes, so next time you can bypass the password. But, i've forgotten the password, so i cant log in. In this situation how do i log in?
No you don't need to log in into system.

@@kevinknollman4299 You don't need to log in to your account. Just restart your computer at the sign in screen. While your computer is restarting, press your boot button. then follow the steps from the video

Maybe your system drive isn't C drive. Try to open that C drive and then type DIR command to see its content.

Really hoping the video creator sees my message:
I have tried EVERYTHING from you video, and other similar videos. For trying to copy the UTILMAN.EXE and replace with CMD.EXE.
No matter what I do, when I try renaming or copying the CMD or UTILMAN files, I get the following error:
"THE FILE CANNOT BE ACCESSED BY THE SYSTEM."
Or... When I try to whoami (who am I option), error says "THE SYSTEM CANNOT EXECUTE THE SPECIFIED PROGRAM".
Not sure what my issue is?
Is my user account maybe not ADMIN?
Am I screwed?

In that case you have to rename those files by any means available to you. For example, you can put that HDD into another PC and then rename those files. Or you can boot your PC from a USB flash drive which contains portable Windows like Hiren's boot CD or something similar. And then just follow the instructions on the video.

It's not gonna affect your data, apps or settings.
You say WITHOUT any software.....and then immediately go into Windows boot up disks....which are software.....Just saying

I have an asus minilaptop that was my stepdad's and he recently passed away. Don't have the password. Your guide looks good but I just CANNOT get this thing to boot from USB! I can get into the repair area when holding Shift while restarting but that requires a password. I've tried every option in there but dead end every time.
What's the model of your laptop and what king of Windows version it has?

The thing is that the admin doesn't allow any .exe files to work without his password, I'm working on getting the password from the men whom I've gotten the hdd from, I'll update you later if it worked.

This is kinda scary. Everyone can get to a Win8.1 Windows in 2 minutes just by having the install DVD, maybe unless the win account is synced online.
Almost same method works for Windows 10 and 11 I have videos on that too. Basically all OS including Linux and MacOS have similar backdoors.
