Tango: everyone said the conveyor belts were too far from vanilla... Fine, I'll make a computer instead.
honestly it's a power move /lh
XD
which hermit said it wasn't vanilla enough? does anyone have any thoughts?
@@poppy5007 I don't remember if anyone said and I wouldn't be surprised if they're guarding that info just because of How The Internet Is™ and people getting rude
@catboygremlin tango said in the start of the video that another hermit mentioned to him that it wasn't very close to vanilla minecraft. I know we don't have to know everything - I was just innocently wondering
Mumbo saying "slow pace this season right?" While Tango is explaining his system is hilarious timing
Excited Tango = superfast tek mode.

@@ElleKT my favourite kind of Tango of the Tek variety
and then doc logs on a moment later lmao
@@despacitojones5297 Doc joining the server always is intimidating. Just because you know something insane is gonna happen
I do not understand Tango fancy words, but I enjoy how excited he is when he says them.
lol exactly

Precisely lol
“I like your funny words, magic man!”
Tango: So we're going to binary encode...
Ah, Minecraft
Binary encoders and decoders?! FINALLY a reason to flex my Computer Engineering degree!!!
@@starryknight64yeah! I was actually just learning about this stuff in class :D
@@starryknight64 As an Electrical Engineer, when he started talking about encoder and decoders I got so happy.
@@RetroBlockadesame!! Just learned about this in my digital design class!
In that instant, I Understood Tango on a deep level.
computer students: we're never going to need binary
Tango: hold my drink
Of course you are going to use binary as a computer scientist. Bit shiting and so on
A Computer Science degree may not need binary too much, but I’m pretty sure Computer Engineering is a different story.
@@Peastable - In my on-the-job experience, I'd reverse those two degree fields in relation to using binary. I have CS and use the nitty-gritty all over, while all my CE coworkers work with higher abstractions. Different problems in different workplaces, it seems.
@@SirJerric alright good to know. I’m still only a CS freshman so I’m not trying to act like an authority or anything but that makes sense I suppose.
Funnily enough me learning binary and hexadecimal via Redstone is helping me in college right now, so there is a bunch of use!
You should ask iskall to install an emergency alarm system, so that if something breaks, you'll know about it. He's got a great one in his autocrafters/shulker loaders. Every factory needs one!
would also be great for creating atmosphere (even if it's a bad sign lol)
also put it into your neighbours bases
@@PZK3759automatically send mail to every single hermit to let them know that Tango’s storage system is broken
With a vex's head instead of a Wither head?
Great idea!!
One this factory is finished, Tango will have to change the name of this series to just "Hermit" because he won't be crafting anything anymore.
Doc is practically there already
Considering they don't actually fit the definition of "hermit", the name of the series should then be just " 10".
It suddenly makes sense how Zedaph was able to AFK for like 7 days straight to get that chicken jockey villager 😂 Glad you had a great trip across the pond!
While it seems like a lot of people didn't like the conveyor belts, I will say Tango that it was a genius idea having them doubled up so that the item frames of each conveyor was always in sight no matter which end you looked at.
It was but felt more modded
A steampunk factory controlled by instructions coded in binary using magical electronics dust, some of which is glued to train tracks... Minecraft is the beautiful fantasy world we all need and I love how you bring that to life!!!
If I had the spare money for a good pc and Minecraft, I would be doing so much redstone logistic builds/farms. It’s incredible how much magic can be done with that dust
@@GuillaumePerronNantelhaha I feel you
That is the best description I have ever heard . Awesome 😊
tango, if you continue grian and gems powerlines you could connect them to your factory as some sort of generator that generates the power for the powerlines
So often, when a "builder" makes progress, you see their base organically grow and evolve over time, and with a "redstoner", you'll have one machine or farm or game constructed.
It's amazing how Tango can manage to have his redstone projects organically grow and evolve. He has become a "redstone builder", and I don't think there are many of those. It's hugely impressive!
"Full package" minecrafters are pretty rare. Redstoners who are also great builders are a little more common (like Doc, Etho, Mumbo, etc.) but the guys who want to fully integrate are vanishingly rare. Pretty much only Tango could've made decked out 2.
@@contrapasta2454 Doc is a planner, an engineer. I have huge respect for the way he plays as well (and for the behind-the-scenes team he has cultivated for himself), but he is not the Tinkerer like Tango. With Tango it feels like a natural flow, like a musician improvising a piece of music on the spot others would take weeks to learn from sheets. I'm stunned how far he has come since his Iron Titan days (and he was already a top-tier minecraft player back then).
Mumbo has come a long way too, and he has a solid level of playfulness, of improvisation and experimentation, and he's not afraid of quirky builds. But redstone and building are still separate realms. He does redstone and decorates it, or he makes a build and fills it with functionality, but the two don't merge into one.
Etho is an elder god, a being of incomprehensible traits, and I know better than comparing him to anyone or comparing anyone to Etho.
aww I'm sorry. You seemed so excited for the conveyor belts.
The new base plan seems equally amazing though!
I love how Tango blew right past spray paint and straight to super gluing copper to a wall 😂
Tango taking his family across the world to hang out with another hermit is one of the many reasons why I love this server. It's so wholesome, love it
And Zedaph came to Tangos house last time.
Zed isn’t just another hermit, he’s tango’s best friend, plus zed came to the us (I highly suggest checking out clumsy cooking, zits game night, wheel of misfortune, really bad record breakers, and, of course, outlast, resident evil 2, and layers of fear).
1) the factory is just the kind of thing I envisioned you redstone people would make when the crafter was made a thing.
2) Doc breaks the game by meta means, you break it with redstone and Zedaph, *sighs* well, he does it the Zedaph way.
Doc makes the impossible possible; Tango makes the possible do impossible things; Zedaph doesn’t care what’s possible.
Doc is a Mad Scientist, making things that could bring ruin, but also shooting things across thousands of blocks. Tango is an Engineer. Just look at the video today. Zedaph is Bill Nye

There was a 100% vanilla conveyor belt design in the hermitcraft subreddit if you still want to do those!
He has one...
What was wrong with the ones he had?
@@zerik_media Nothing, it was cool, but it seems pretty streched from vanilla, so i agree why it had to be scrapped.
Is it a functional one or just for display like the one bdubs did last season?
@@lanchen0honestly maybe its just me but i dont think it was stretching vanilla anymore than any of the other custom texture stuff on the server. its not like the conveyor belts were actually moving the items, that was still a vanilla function
"Swifty speed on the soul stuff faster". Yep.
ur name ahhhhh i thought u were me
@@didir29 no, it's just me, sorry
Tango ur mind is amazing and mysterious. You cant see a trapdoor in a chest but you can create binary code in Minecraft.
POV: adhd
A collab with Doc might be cool for the items that need to be brought in from remote farms, he might have a shiny new uh... mass-item-teleportinator design
You mean the big uhhh boner(great name doc) boat gun?
Yesssss
The only issue would be is that Tango is pretty centrally located, and that transportation system relies on a straight line from a player unloaded chunk. I'd say that's why Doc ventured 4000 blocks out for his 'starter' base, it's a pretty safe bet that the chunks will not be loaded unless he wants them to be.
@@5pindin Ohhh yeah, forgot about that part :|
@@5pindin As far as I understand, the only place Doc's system is fussy about chunk loading is at the sending station (because the boat needs to be in lazy chunks). It works by imparting enough momentum on the boat, so its first movement tick takes it all the way to the receiving station, so it shouldn't matter whether there are loaded chunks in the middle. The only issue might a block in a loaded chunk that was exactly in the path of the minecraft, which can be mitigated by building the system close to world height.
the 3:34 squeaky "how did you do that?!?" just brings me serotonin every time I hear it
The use of neurotransmitters as emotions brings me pain every time I hear it
A dense, chewy Tango episode filled with redstonificating with fun interludes of being a general menace, oh how I’ve missed these
You make it sound like his episodes are double chocolate cookies and I couldn't be more pleased
the real ironman rarely disappoints
Yummy Tango episode
@@elizabethavictorianor darn it, now I'm hungry!
You have essentially created MMIO in Minecraft: every item in the storage section has an "address", the crafters can request an item by writing an address to a common bus, and there's an address decoder that signals the correct chest to release an item. You even have round-robin-scheduling to ensure that only one crafter writes to the bus at a time!
Next step in human evolution, Minecraft Computer that can play minecraft
@@alericcusher11 there are already minecraft computers that can run minecraft, albeit a more simplified version of the game.
Great, we've invented Token Ring :)
I love how the binary nature of redstone signals naturally naturally draws parallels to networking protocols the more complicated the circuits become.
Tango needs to implement a CRC 🙂
Tango went from a Iron Farm master to a Redstone bit computer master
Tbf dude has ALWAYS been a redstone god
Don't forget the most honorable title as "the Dungeon Master" last season! Tango is an absolute legend!
wait he’s building basically a store clerk who goes “yea i can look in the back to see if we have that” lol
tango comes back from a vacation and be like, lets give binary serial numbers to all factory produce to keep a track of it in minecraft
When tango says ‘so basically…’ you know you’re about to hear the most insane spiel of red stone genius ever
🤣
pretty soon hes gonna build a general purpose CPU in Minecraft just to power his base
I loved watching you and Etho playing around with the new boom-boom technology, so funny and it pretty much confirms the idea that Etho is pretty much the "Doc Brown" of redstone.
2:52 ah yes a wild Zedaph appears
Zedaf used Legendary Mob!
Tango became confused!
The Create mod has dug its hooks into Tango's heart and it's both heart-warming and heart-rending seeing him trying to replicate its magic in the vanilla game.
That’s my thoughts as well; definitely missing the create factory right now.
I hope that now that decked out 2 is over they might get a chance to go back to that series!
Some of us really enjoyed the conveyer belts, but I understand how Zed can inspire Vanilla gamified! I also really enjoy the copper trapdoors over the hoppers, metal on metal, and fits the steampunk vibe, maybe a little weathered?
I definitely agree about the copper trapdoors. The exposed hoppers and machinery are very steampunk
24:24 if you wanted something simple as a place holder until you figure out the more complicated interactive features for the 'bays', you could do what bdubs did in his scaffolding shop and display the crafting recipe with item frames and their components since it's 3 blocks wide, might be a nice touch to display what the autocrafters are doing themselves.
I'm not an expert, but don't item frames generate a lot of lag? And there is already a lot of stuff around that might also do it (moving minecarts and items, for example).
So maybe this is not the best idea for this situation, but otherwise it's really cool!
Something I think would be cool is a copper grate walk way on top of the redstone so people could see down into it
I was thinking a glass floor in that area would be cool. That array of redstone is too amazing to cover up.
Yeah but then you couldn’t get the soul speed. It’s a tradeoff.
24:20 I am so glad you kept this. This is such a cool idea. It will give the best steampunk feeling ever.
20:51
Mumbo: "Slow paced this season, right guys?"
Doc: [Joins the Game]
Somehow, Doc always has the best comedic timing
"We're taking it slower this season"
Episode 7: Six bit binary encoders.
*Head explodes*
It must be all the years of watching Tango but I went from being totally lost on stream to actually understanding how the binary system works. I am so excited for this because farm and efficiency design is something I've always loved about Minecraft. Glad you had a great vacation with Zed & Dot Dot Dash.
I haven’t watched that much of tango.
But just watching all of the Decked out streams. Watching him try and fix the map over and over again. And other red stone issues.
I understood. Some of it.
A lot of it was still just, it works? WOOO
@@sanga1380to be fair I think that's how tango feels too 😂
Watching this almost makes me sad. I was trying to figure out my own factory for redstone components. The stuff I am building is huge, and all the protection systems that prevent overflowing or running out of items are really bulky. Frankly I am creating a monster.
Then I see your build. It's so sleek and clean. It is amazing.
You sir, are a wizard.
The stuff you're making might not look as impressive as Tango's, but it will still be amazing because you did it yourself.
It took me an hour the other week to figure out a way to get a chest to drop things into lava after flipping a lever..
thanks for the supportive words :)
about 2 months ago, it took me several hours to engineer a piston door. just a basic 1x2 jeb-style door, but hooked up to a lectern. (didn't know the term at the time)
now I've built a bunch of other, increasingly complex doors and other constructs, but I'm still proud of that first door.
tldr we're all at different stages and what you do is awesome because *you* did it.
Doing stuff on your own is the best way to enjoy it.
If you want to get more sleek, find people to explain your design to, or just write it all out, or just build a sample to see how it works. All three of these can help us find all the places where we've over-engineered our solution. Over-thinking is a natural part of the development process. Simplifying is often a result of the review and feedback loop.
This is one of the reasons I enjoy working in a team environment. When the design gets convoluted I can call over a teammate and explain what I am doing. Doesn't matter which of us notices the shortcut first, the process of reviewing the design exposes the other options.
Tango, the way that you edited the graffiti segment was absolute gold!!!
i've missed tango talking 100mph about redstone that i don't understand so much since decked out finished ❤❤❤ all of this is so so cool to see, what a great episode!!! the aesthetics to go along with this are gonna be insane i can't wait, i'm picturing a steampunky unskulked version of the black mines 🤩 glad you enjoyed your holiday man you deserve it and more
This factory is going to be amazing. Awesome to see the binary encoding. I think a 3x3 mural behind each item in factory showing the crafting recipe of each could be cool.
As though we needed any more proof that Tango is a mad genius! So excited for this factory!!!
Was completely lost when trying to wrap my head around 3x5 bit encoders per crafting spot. But I loved every second of it. Awesome video tango
Nodding along approvingly without knowing what the frickity frack is going on 😅 love it all the same!
Tango: **casually uses redstone to do binary like it’s nbd**
Dude that’s so cool. I definitely don’t know enough about redstone or anything to even know how impressive that is but it seems really impressive from where I’m sitting
Also love the wall graffiti!
This man is a genius! This is beyond from what I imagined when he said "We are about to build a factory!"
Cool redstone tip: if you place a decorated pot and face a comparator into it and then fill it up with banners or something that stacked to 16, each banner will increase the signal strength by one (the 16th banner doesn't increase the signal strength). Idk what you'd use this for but it was just a cool little thing I stumbled upon when I was playing around with redstone (it works for a nice counter).
ooo
Use ender pearls if you have a farm
Tango, with the mail system, auto crafters, and your redstone trickery, you could truly build an Amazon fulfillment center of Minecraft. Big Tek.
Full on applied enegeristics 2 setup in vanilla. Gotta love it
TANGO OF THE TEK VARIETY IS BACK!!!
I found it só weird hearing Tango say people disliked the conveyor belts, as they "didn't feel vanilla". What? Yes, that's because Hermitcraft isn't really vanilla. Decked out, the custom models, the totally custom audio disks, armor stand magic, the hermit permits, demise, new recipes and even the custom wandering trader. If it was something related to functionality, then I'd agree it doesn't fit Hermitcraft, but as everything else... The conveyors were simply visual cosmetics.
So wholesome, Tango taking his family across the globe to visit one of his best friends 😊
Happy to hear that you enjoyed going to England
Tango the minecraft professor that teaches level 400 classes.
Tango is back :D
Every time I'm like okay I understand what he's talking about....I just have no idea how any of this works. Magic! xD
Mind boggling and awesome. What a cool redstone design, and it really hammers home how much easier Create is. Very neat to see this realized in survival, Tango delivering pure awesome as always!
I actually liked the previous idea and was looking forward to it, it was vanilla but with datapack magic to make it look modded even though it wasn't, oh well, very glad to have you back
tango continuing to build games in minecraft, this season its factorio
the firework kill on scar was really pro
This is what happens when the mind behind Decked Out makes a factory
honestly this is way cooler than the 3d models, for watching and to challenge tango with something at his level
Sad to see the conveyors go, love the new direction though!
That binary encoder is simultaneously the geekiest and the coolest thing ever. I love it.
Will miss those belts though. Idk who I am more disappointed in, the internet for pressuring you to remove them, or you for giving in to the pressure.
I hope you'll at least do some custom audio discs with like ambient factory noises, things likes belts going, alarms, whistles, etc.
he said he was definitely doing custom sounds and no one could stop him from that (during a stream)
he also mentioned that other hermits were the reason he nixed the belts, not just the fandom
You're outdoing yourself every season, you mad Tango of the Tek variety.
I'm sad we're not keeping the conveyer belts but I'm stoked Tango went full computer science
Poor conveyors, they were Tango's way to cope with a forgotten create series.
I liked the convener belts.
The mad scientist is back…really is a good Friday
The idea of little dioramas above each crafting module makes me think Tango is making a toy factory.
Zed blew my mind with that villager.... but the level my mind was blown by,... a storage system!!!???!?!?!?! is on par with Docs Lightning machine and his teleporting saaaaaaand (and maybe even more) from Season 8!!! This is incredible Tango. Can't wait to see Docs and Ethos response to this, both as they see it and as they try to one up ya!
Glad you had an awesome vacation, and of course I'm glad to see you back! The factory is Tango-levels of crazy and I can't wait to see more! The copper T logo fits perfectly!
I really like the new visual direction of the factory! I agreed that the animated texture conveyer belts felt a bit too Create-y when the rest of the server is largely vanilla (huge fan of Create but agreed, it's not the vibe here, and the best solution with Vanilla+ is unfortunately a bit jank). Cheers for listening to feedback and taking it in stride :)
My thoughts about this season:
Zedaph's mind works in truly non-linear fashion.
Doc's mind works in truly game-breaking fashion.
Tango's mind works in truly game-redefining fashion.
Just between those three alone, we're seeing some true geniuses at work, and that's not even taking into account Cub's fireworks factory and so much else going on. I think the crafting blocks have really pushed Hermitcraft into a whole new sphere of creative madness.
I am seriously in awe of Tango's new system.
weird how everyone was cool with all the non-vanilla stuff in decked out 2 and tons of other custom models but a little animation in an item frame crosses the line?
At this point i am convinced tango can do anything without the create mod - sad for aesthetic happy for the vanilla innovation
This looks rad :) I'm happy to see how excited Tango is to get started with this new factory design
it is fun watching your journey to eventually making a full computer. binary encoding was my first thought when you were talking. really glad to see you making it :). so fun.
So glad to get another tango vid! Just finished yesterday's livestream, now the vid, and next livestream later! Good to have ya back from vacation! 🤘🏼
"The conveyers are pushing the line of being vanilla."
I mean... I agree, but Hermitcraft has been doing that for the past 3 seasons, what's the big deal?
Tango, you're making my brain soo happy right now. That binary encoder is the most genius thing I've seen in a while!
This is so cool. I've been excited and thinking about how you would make your factory for months, and your plans *totally* blew what I was thinking out of the water. After DO2 and now this factory, I think you get to call yourself the best redstoner on the server now. Combine that with how beautiful your builds have been, and you've really outdone yourself.
Glad I'm here for the ride Tango. :)
I am lost for words for what you are building, again. Thanks for the great content!
Very impressive system. This has to be more satisfying than doing it in Create
A Tango episode on my birthday! Truly my favorite Hermit!
Happy Birthday!
Happy birthday! X
happy birthday!
ever since I saw your season 9 vids, I havent missed any of your season 10 vids. definitely among my favorite youtubers
Absolutely incredible! The redstone for the factory is really interesting, and I think you are doing a great job explaining it to people (like me) who don't understand it.
Loved this episode. I'm glad to have you back. Can't wait to see where the factory is going
I had to watch the first demo twice because of how captivating the mumbo chats were
so happy to have you back
The amount of work you did in this episode is insane! Nicely done tango!
Every time I watch you or Doc doing redstone, my brain starts to hurt.
Glad you're back! I love that graffiti you did.
Also it might be cool to add 'fake' minecart tracks in the warehouse for more immersion that go around/through the room.
TANGO! I’m so happy your back.
Just picturing Zedaph roaming the server with like 5 villagers on chickens selling items LOL
very interested to see how the factory will be decorated! it could be cool to have some of the redstone visible through a stained glass floor or something. might pull in some of the techy bits of the steampunk vibe!
I love how he just cuts from the scar jump to the factory like it’s so simple, it looks like he’s building a freaking transformer, amazing
Im watching, nodding along to what you're saying like I understand when in reality I look and feel like a questionmark!
