I can't wait for this! Both Etho and Tango are really good redstoners and Pearl (in my opinion) is a really great builder. Between the three of them they're bound to make something amazing.

"Detailing" is the watchword for Season 10 of Hermitcraft. SO many Hermits are really focusing on super detailed builds this season, and I absolutely love it.
im really enjoying the vibes this season, everything feels a lot more cozy. The buildings and the interactions and even the geographical disposition of the bases

@@IainDoherty51 in the clip right after it, his name is grey not red on tab so I would assume they decided it counts. If it weren't for them, the phantoms wouldn't have been able to kill him so they are responsible for him being able to be killed by phantoms so technically it counts. I don't think Tango's annoyance was that they didn't get the kill, I think it was more that they didn't get a good/funny kill and that Mumbo probably wasn't recording when he died.

Even without the cobwebs or phantoms mumbo is the type of guy to jump to the swamp and still die from landing on a lilly pad
tango, if you want to have some spinning dials in your base you can use a lodestone in the nether. when the compass is in the overworld, it'll spin randomly

Have you not seen his earlier stuff? Go back to season 4, 5 and 6. Tango has always been a fantastic builder

I absolutely love how literally all of the Hermits have the EXACT SAME two trains of thought when it comes to Scar:
A. He is the most precious bean on the server and he must be protected at all costs
B. He is a menace to society that cannot be left to his own devices
That's it. There is no in-between. I will not be taking any further questions at this time.
I love how the cottage feels like you could walk around forever in it and come back to where you started.
Put your bedroom in the room that you’re gonna fly into. That would be awesome to wake up to that view!
Or into the small dead end! Would be a "save" bed to respawn ... just in case! Or both, a nice one and the one you use!
The house is giving me "Howl's Moving Castle" vibes, which means the steam punk is pretty spot on!
Alright. Hear me out on this. You should do a gimmick with steam punk goggles when you get the elytra. In the room with the balcony. You should make it your supply room. For expedition. Have your maps, and armour stand with your back up wings and a custom pumpkin head (the goggles of course lol). You could make it look like a messy steampunk mini work shop. Papers scattered on the floor. Custom blueprint paints on the wall. A grandfather clock design. Some extra storage for the rockets. Maybe even a little alchemy set up. So you could have a small place to brew a few potions if needed.
Edit: maybe a bit of Redstone mess on the floor like your always in a hurry to get the next big thing done lol ;p

TANGO! I must say, your building is really hitting another level. Wels and Ren admitted that they thought your base was Bdubs. And I agree! You are elevating among the greats with this one. Congrats!
For the elytra room, have some kind of landing strip or landinglights in the floor.
And a huge "fan" for start assistance on the back wall.
The other wall to the side could be full of "flight maps" of the local area.
To help with your Steampunk Aesthetic, you can use trapdoors as pipes with flowing water inside to transport items. The copper trapdoors look really neat!
The issue is that copper trapdoors cost 6 copper blocks for 2

Funny enough, it reminded me of False's starter base full of staircases back in Empires 2, which was in fact a steampunk style empire "Cogsmeade".

Clock tower room should be an elytra launcher, some sort of slimeblock or explodificatpr contraption to shoot you out of the top! Is it necessary? Absolutely not. Will it be fun and interesting? Most definitely! And it fits with the inventor-y quirky steampunk aesthetic!
Wow! Your home interior feels like a house that you would easily get lost in, even though it's a small area you fit a ton and its great!
Just to the bee farm, Bee careful with the shears resuply. If the shears break, more bottles can get in the dispensor.

I absolutely love the mazification of the inside. All the random paths and floors and books and crannies give the build just as much character as the decorations and functionality.

Initially I was worried that the hermits had spaced each other out too far, but I guess my sense of location was off, because now I see everyone's borders bumping together and it will make for good transitions between bases. This kinda reminds me of the old days of minecraft, where everyone would live near each other, instead of spacing out so far.

Your theme combined with the fact you will be flying in and out of that room reminds me of the story of Daedalus. Maybe you can have a story behind it like it’s where it all began with a man wanting to fly so you can use banners to look like schematics and have a work table with tools and such. It’s a simple concept that can have a lot of details yet also give you enough room to safely take off and land.
I also didn't consider phantoms, but I can't believe they didn't even think about if he had a water bucket in his inventory.

Hi Tango, just wanted to say can’t wait to see what kind of builds you make with Copper. Mainly because I have the funniest coincidence that me and some friends also started a new world and they established a base in a cherry blossom forest on top of a mountain and I have a plan to try using copper to also build steampunk-like structures near a bay.
I swear this world and plans were made weeks before season 10 started
I just finished watching Mumbo and in the end he said I don't know is I am going to survive or not , you guys and see it in the next episode. Then I come back and see Tango : Mumbo to the MOON!!

That corner at 19:42 really looks like you can make it into a secret passage with powdered snow!
You can make it into a small extended area from the mainbuilding, maybe in a nether-style vibe? It could maybe even result in your enchanting room or a (new) library!
By the way, maybe it could be cool to name your main building with a distinctive name? It could refer to the 7 rooms you have as the 7 Halls of Tek, where you can display some cool steampunk besides the normal function of the room!
Last episode I commented a name, but since watching all the other hermits I’ve started giving the horses breed assignments and I certainly can’t leave out cogsworth! Between the name and the steampunk, I’m getting cart horse vibes, and since the starter base build is still SO DANG IMPRESSIVE I think the horse has to match. Now admittedly I don’t know my drafts as well as my warmbloods but even I know a Belgian Draught is a damn fine horse! So that’s what I’m gonna give Cogsworth here.
I think it would be pretty cool if you dedicated one of the rooms in your base as a sort of inventor's workshop. You could get some reskinned art (like the HotGuy posters) that show blueprints of planned steampunk gadgets- even better if they are stuff you actually build later in the season. A feather and a brush could be useful decorations as sketch equipment. Maybe some splotches of spilled redstone dust on the floor here and there.
At 8:59 I legit thought Tango was going to give Scar the egg as a gift lol
Just a suggestion to Tango, your steampunk build can use some steam bellowing out. Adding some hidden campfire will really build up the atmosphere. Also, put darker gradient blocks around places where soot would be to make it a little grimey

The mumbo thing has just made me sad
to me the steampunk esthetic is best expressed by gadgets and gizmos that MOVE, i think you want your details to pistons, lamps and redstone that's controlled by obscure timers and the overlapping states of the other "devices" in the build
It is difficult to decide who is my favorite Hermit, but Tango always makes the top 3!

Super simple detailing could include levers and lightning rods acting as steam pipes going throughout the base

Room suggestions: one room dedicated to a machine that works but doesn't actually do anything, one room for making robots. You could even have stolen plans for Grumbot in it, one room for clocks & books.

The whole time you were building the flying machine, I was like "What about Phantoms?". I was hoping Bdubs or someone would stop it from getting dark before Mumbo signed back on. Good try though, still fun.
Somewhat failed attempt aside, I had so much fun watching the interactions. Tango and Jevin, a surprisingly good (maybe chaotic) duo. [Guess this duo will live rent free in my head now. Yay!]
