I love that Tango misses his Create factory so much that he's essentially bringing a vanilla version into Hermitcraft to help cope.
I miss it as well and the cope is a very much welcome reaction since I'm coping as well.
he didn't miss it enough to continue it like he said he would...
to be honest, I don't like the direction of custom models taking the forefront here. Takes the creativity out of having to work with "vanilla" blocks for both function and aesthetic purposes.
Would be better if they just added Create at this point, it's practically vanilla anyway with how much it's being used and how stable and complete it is. And to be real, all vanilla all the time gets a little dull, they know that too since they started adding modded cosmetic items quite a while ago and they're using both local and server mods so it's not really pure vanilla anyway. Personally I think it would be way better if they just added Create, the Hermits that don't want to mess around with it could just avoid it. It's not like it takes anything away from vanilla, it just adds a lot for the redstone and tinkerer people, not to mention that it looks a lot better when things can move more.

Tango built this exact same factory style building in his Create mod series haha it is soooooooo good
On the topic of builds encroaching on Gem's and Etho's area, since you are going for a Steampunk-ish style, and Gem is referencing Dredge, for buildings closer to Gem maybe you can build with corruption/pollution template, and towards Etho since he is in a jungle, an overgrown abandoned factory template.
Just a suggestion to organically merge the bases!

Gem's also got a powerline she's building that will head toward tango's area and someone in her comments mentioned that they could build a powerplant that hooks up to it.

Tango's engineering whimsy is one of the core pieces drawing me back to Hermitcraft, right up there with Scar's uplifting imagination.

^This. Fourteen years on and I'm still making a 9x9 wood or stone box as my base. I keep watching stuff about building to try and get better, but I don't feel like I'm doing much different.
@@60sSam there's lots of build tutorials around so you could just use them! it may be someone else's design but eventually you will pick up on more and more things (maybe even subconsciously ) and will gradually improve :) even if you stick with tutorials and dont wanna build from scratch, you can tweak things here and there to personalise the build more for you

Tango as someone who works in a factory this is a great build. I would suggest adding a custom poster for safety to bring it all together, like hand safety of safety glasses required.

In all seriousness though my intrigue and curiosity for the factory has quickly turned into full blown excitement with this episode. Really looking forward to what comes next, super cool idea and I’m glad to see some inspiration from the create series showing up here, that series was great while it lasted! Awesome job as always Tango 😄

Man, that's some good negotiating from Wels. He knew Tango would do anything to get Redstone #2. Smart move not backing down on the profits.
It's a really good deal for Wels! He basically gets all the profit from one of the permits, and free redstone for the entire season, with none of the work!
But it still benefits tango, as he gets to control all redstone shopping, and can boost sales overall. Also Wels' redstone permit seems a bit better overall imo
I wouldve pushed for just 50% on Wels' permit it seems like a pretty bad deal for tango rn

Wels is not getting all the profits from one half of the Redstone, because we don't know what would be more profitable. Redstone no.1 may make more money than Redstone no.2. Let's say No.1 makes 40 diamonds, No.2 Makes 20. Wels gets 30 diamonds! But, in the opposite situation, where if No.1 made 10 diamonds and No.2 made 90, Wels would get 50 diamonds, giving up on what would have made up 55% of his profits. So, it could turn out to be a slightly worse deal for Wels. Not that it will, but it is possible!

Tango's s10 episodes are really going to have it all: redstone from the mastermind himself AND bitesized building tips from Bdubs.
This factory style feels like Tango's version of Etho's ender chest system; it's so clever and works so well that it just has to be repeated everytime the option is avaiable. Love it!
Tango , u should take the idea from scar creeper costumes , swap it into wandering trader , then drink invi potion , drag 2 carpeted llama , visit each hermit n see their reaction , whiles selling stuff u have permit for.

I think the idea is originally from tango actually, back in season 8 he made a custom model to disguise as a tree. Scar just turned the idea into a mob with animation.

Make replacement redstone boxes! A little bit of everything, for hermits who lose their redstone box somewhere! Like a "did you die box" for redstoners.

you should use textures from exisiting blocks to make the conveyrbelts look less modded. maybe bambu for the belt and aged copper for the backing :D

Yes, big seconding this! Custom models to hide the water streams is a great idea, but bringing in more vanilla textures will blend it in even more
@@imdadirtydan yeah when I saw them, I though it was in his own server, but then I noticed it was actually in hermicraft, which I find it to be overwhelming, and ruins the purpose of the server trying to keep things vanilla. Having custom textures for gags, pranks and clothes is one thing, using moving textures for the main aspect of a build, is way way to much. I find it quite odd, if the other hermits are ok with this, specially after saying no to Doc dupping sand.

Hey Tango! Game designer here, these conveyor belts look AWESOME. I did notice one tiny thing...
1- The "Reverse Anchor" Belt has a mirrored 'rusted metal backing' texture. When it is no longer in view (and therefore not being rendered) it actually swapped the back paneling. It's hardly noticeable, but over time you're going to feel it a lot more. Or, as soon as you read this comment you're going to be incapable of missing it (sorry)
By having the first anchor being left-aligned, you can run this model into a wall to create a 'shorter' conveyor belt. This is super handy if you want one end of the model to be a 'dropoff point' and have an animation of the belt bending around the end! This is super cool, and I can't wait to see what you do with it!

It's all thanks to the autocrafter. It's a game changer.
This is no longer vanilla with all these custom models and textures.
The game play is still vanilla. The custom stuff is all visual. I'm lost on why some is needed, but if it keeps the hermits interested, I'm fine with it.
For the storage area with Soul Speed, you should make some Storage Slippers

The core gameplay element that Minecraft needs much more of is the ability for players to bring their builds to life with purpose and function, so that our builds are not simply beautiful empty shells, but a living, breathing, immersive world with which to interact and play. The problem since the very beginning of Minecraft is that the player is greatly limited in the variety of function and purpose they can implement into their builds, and though it has gotten much better, mods like Create illustrate just how short of its potential vanilla Minecraft is currently falling.
I'm excited to see how the factory progresses. So much amazing potential. The phrase of the season seems to be "Trust the Process" and I trust the TangoTek process.
i absolutely love the increase in hermit's suggestive jokes whilst keeping the PG rating. feels nice to feel "catered" to in a way, as someone who's getting close to 30
same, I'm almost 30 and love Minecraft, so the adult jokes are always great to hear lol

✨✨✨Tango is seriously one of the best hermits to watch. I’ve never been interested in red stone before (I always thought it was cool but I never enjoyed seeing the process in how it worked) until I started watching Tango. He just makes it so much fun and he uses it in such unique ways. His building style is so quirky and he adds so much personality. Season 9 really just showed how impressive this man is at Minecraft and no doubt this season will continue to showcase his talents. Can’t wait to see how the factory will turn out!!!!!💝💝💝
I too have found redstone to be a lot more entertaining when it's explained using terminology like "skadoodleficator".
Tango's streams are my favourite thing in Hermitcraft these days. They were my favourite already in S9, and it seems to stay that way! 😊

Tango you could totally use the post system to transport items into your redstone store! And in turn, you can do a home delivery system for the other hermits!

I LOVE how much thought you put into all your builds. They not only contain some of the most incredible redstone work ever thought up, but they do it while telling a story. That's next level. Can we just appreciate for a moment that Tango is creating CREATE in vanilla? An entire mod built using vanilla "ingredients." My jaw was dropped the whole time. Have a great vacation, man!

@@goodparslay Anything not vanilla is still a mod. Cosmetic additions to a building game is a mod. It absolutely changes how the game is played by not using in game features and using out of game assets. It is like showing a painting you made but it's actually just a photograph you printed out, ya didn't paint it.
Dang Wels got a great deal, instead of getting all the profit for half the shop, he gets half the profit for all the shop, which is presumably around the same amount, only now he has to do none of the work. Additionally, he can take components from the half of the shop that would've been Tangos for free.
For real, kinda feells like tango should've haggled it down a bit imo lol

A hilarious loophole in your deal with welsknight would be to have restone items cost diamonds AND Bamboo. You keep the diamond half and give wels the bamboo half.
Tango is by far my favorite hermit to watch for inspiration on things I will never achieve because I am not a Redstone wizard. I've played the game for like 12 years and still can't figure out a revolving lighthouse, or how comparators work. Tango could likely build a more complex Redstone contraption than I if his monitor was off.
I work in a factory.
-Rail system (overhead). The ceiling is 90% covered with rails that haul bags to different points
-Our machines are side by side. With time/efficiency displays on the nearest vertical support.
-We also have orange blinky lights, and alert sounds that broadcast over the speaker system.
-We also have little touch displays where we sign in. Everything on the ground level has bar frames around them to prevent damage
Tango: Builds beautiful base over 99% of us couldn't dream of.

I was thinking that after decked out last season, tango was going to take it easier... I should have known better.

Getting some toon towers vibes with the flying items, I love it.
Hopefully the factory is not too laggy with those custom models all over the place, and in item frames no less! I definitely recommend to bring the texture resolution down to be in line with the pixel size of Minecraft when you update the artwork; it'll fit in better that way.
So keen to see how this turns out!! You could potentially even have a shop in your factory and link it to the postal service where people can bulk order items and put a stamp to their base, so then when it's all made it automatically gets shipped to them. Just spit balling at this point but you could also add a specific postal box that people can order to by putting the item they want, indicate the quantity of stacks with some junk item and then a return stamp. Then it gets shipped out sort of like Amazon!

It's not the scale of decked out, but it shows just as much thought went into every bit of it, and is just as immersive and charming.

You could utilise the postal system and have the shop send notes to the factory when stock runs out, and then potentially even have the factory send stock to the shop and diamonds back to your base. You'd never have to lift a finger beyond stocking the factory's materials!
Can't wait to see the Redstone shop. That was a great deal to make with Wels.

I know the conveyor belt is just visual but it’s a bit too “moddy” feeling for my taste. I personally think the restrictions of minecraft breads creativity (which Tango is crazy creative)

You know what would be whimsical for justifying items flying through the air? Make something that looks like a seesaw and one end is where the items get launchificated, and the other side an anvil is bouncing up and down. So instead of just bring a slime block launcher, it looks like falling anvils are throwing all the items everywhere.

14:16 Even though andesite has some darker spots, it's actually overall a lighter color block than stone, especially when you step back. If you want to improve the lighting effect you're going for, I would suggest swapping those two (use andesite as the brighter one and stone as the darker one). That said, great video Tango!

What I love most about this episode is Tango made this awesome steampunk build and then went and asked Bdubs, how could I do it better, amazing!
Super excited for the factory! Honestly, though, I'm not really a fan of the conveyor belts being custom models. It could just be the vanilla purist side of me, but I'd prefer to see you lean into the kind of wacky aesthetic of vanilla item transport. I know HC has gotten more openly vanilla+ over the last few years, but it's not really my thing I guess (minus DO2 sounds and stuff). I miss the days of doing things within the limits of vanilla Minecraft (especially as those limits were so much more limiting back in the day.)
That said, the belts do look neat, and I absolutely love the craft on demand concept for the factory. Will watch and enjoy either way (not going to let an aesthetic preference get in the way of the Factory)!
I would have set it up with Wels so that he either gets 50% of all profits (and _maybe_ redstone at production value rather than full price), OR 20-25% of all profits and the free redstone. ya gotta NEGOTIATE Tango 😂

Hey Tango, please dont let the comments section get to you. Using custom models is basically the same as using a resource pack. In the end, it doesn't matter. If it makes the experience for you more fun, then do it. If the people complaining about it were really that upset, they wouldn't watch, yet they're still here for a reason (that reason is that you're an awesome person and entertainer). Keep up the good work and just do you, my dude!
Love you channel and inventions. Hate using custom assets for builds. It's cute for decked out cards or trophies or joke items, but builds ideally would be vanilla to allow us to learn and copy. As an example there was an iron farm that used red stone to push golems forward one by one creating the illusion of a real assembly line. I was hoping for something like that, and not custom build assets. (It would be like watching a chess master and he is using made up pieces.)
I know they're justa first draft custom model, but I see the vision! It's such a creative idea Id've never thought of that kind of application for the custom models. It's like the ticket takers at scarland last year. Craziness! I can't wait to see it come together!

Tango doesn't care about the diamonds lol. Like last year he didn't have a shop at all. He just wants to make things. I do think Wels should help out with the shop building and material gathering though.

I think that the models should use just vanilla textures so they fit in better, just a suggestion, but I think that some hermits might take a bit to realize what it is if you use vanilla textures

When custom models are used in the design of the environment, it doesn't feel right in a vanilla series.
For instance, you could simply build a flat wall, put in a picture frame in, then apply a custom model of pretty wall.
Exactly this. Custom hats are fine, but just making your own blocks kind of defeats the point of the game.

He said on stream that he doesn't care. He said if Wels had asked for 100 percent of the profits he would have done it. They don't really care about the diamonds. He just wants to build the factory.

I love the idea of a factory with lots of moving parts. But surely those conveyer belts, being two per section are going to create a ton of lag once there's a lot of them, and a lot of items moving about.
6:10. When Tango shows you a rough outline and says not to worry, you take that seriously. I remember the decked out 2 rough outline and remember Tango saying: trust me. It will all look better than now.

Tango proves he's a wonder with redstone and more than deserves to sell redstone. (You could call your shop Knight Tek, to honour Wells pretty much co-owning the shop)
I am so excited for the redstone factory because one of the first thing i thought of when crafter was first introduced was a machine that can craft every redstone component. We can automate every raw material, redstone from raid farm and cobblestone from a cobble farm, which are then also turned into stone using kelp block(automatically crafted from a kelp farm), quartz from piglin trading using gold from a gold farm (crafted into gold ingot). Everything can be made without single player interaction
