Why can't people enjoy both versions without having to compare and decide which version is better. Well, obviously sung by two different people will have different style.
I get a more pop feel with Adam who puts on his 'rock-mask' for this song. It's like a virtuoso karaoke version of it, but does'nt touch the original in a way which is strange because adam is a better singer than Plant. His voice could have been a great metal voice (like Priest in the good old days) he's got an insane range. Too bad, it's gonna be used for pop, but that's the best thing he can use it for I think, it just fits better whitin his style.

@TheSinginggod NO the way adam lambert sings a whole lotta love sounds like any modern pop song, he could care less if he was singing about sex or about smashing someones head in...to him there just lyrics. Though when plant sings, he is taking his title as "sex god" to a total different level with the noises he makes with the mic. and his tarzan like vocals give u a since of what he is talking about. Just because you hit certain notes doesnt make you better its the WAY you sing them.

No cover artist can be better than the original. Period! Agree Led Zep improvised the song from Willie Dixon, and they made a better and their own signature version. If Adam could've done that, it'd be a whole different story. There's no great talent in trying to sing exactly alike to Plant's vocals. So stop this bullshit of who is better. Lets assume God created man, and man built a lot of amazing architectures. So man is better than God? Sounds ridiculous now isn't it?

It may be a far cry from plants version, and i say that as a huge led zeppelin fan but that was AWESOME! Band guitarists did a great job!!!
