I’m a preschool education assistant going to school to become a lead teacher and I love your videos!! You always inspire me. 🥰 Our daily schedule is much like yours. I’m looking forward to cooler temperatures too, summer here in Ohio has been rough! I hope you and your kiddos have a great week! 🙏🏻
Thank you! Your feedback definitely inspires me to create more content. I’m so glad to hear from other providers and seeing how we all have such similar experiences. Good luck with your education, it’s great to see that we are getting a new generation of quality early childhood educators! Our world needs you more than ever
Definitely. The Montessori philosophy encourages a full work cycle that is 3 hours of the morning. It’s really their best time and the less interruption the better. Even though I’m not a Montessori school, I think setting up the environment for them and just staying out of their way is really beneficial. ☺️
I enjoy your ideas and content so much! I have a 2 year old and am always looking for ideas. It’s still so hot down south, so it’s nice to have more indoor activity ideas
This is my first time seeing one of your videos. I absolutely love it very simple. I struggle with scheduling to keep them busy. Thank you I am going to subscribe. ❤
Our schedule is similar. We do Circle Time (includes our movement and songs) around 9 a.m. and outside time around 10 a.m. We're in VA. I do more of the Arts or specific language arts/writing skills, when the two year old and one year old leave, earlier than the others. I do some art with the two year old, but anything like Kindergarten prep I try to give the olders my undivided attention. For the new and upcoming daycare providers and preschool teachers, it's good for them to know to rotate their quiet and active play times. I continue to love each and every one of your videos.
Thank you Tonya, it’s great to hear from you. We definitely share a lot of the same philosophies when it comes to early childcare and education. I appreciate your feedback ☺️
Thanks for sharing! It's always interesting and helpful to see how other daycare providers set out their daily routine. :) Another topic... I am interested to hear if you provide progress reports during the year?
Actually I plan on making a more detailed video about this but I cover that a little in my portfolio video. Here is the link How to create a simple child portfolio for daycare, homeschool or preschool ua-cam.com/video/nceEphy3xPE/v-deo.html
Thank you so much for all the helpful videos! By any chance can you make videos of samples what kind of breakfast, lunch, and PM snack that you serve in your childcare? Also are you the only provider providing care to the children? If so, What happens if you are sick or on vacation? thank you
Im so glad they are helping! Thank you 🙏 I have a video that goes over meals, here is the link for that. Hopefully it’s what your looking for. Let me know if you have any other questions. Daycare menu rotation ua-cam.com/video/WnRR08QwLpY/v-deo.html And it is just me so if I’m sick, the children will have to get back up care. And if I go on vacation I try to let them know far in advance. I am with the military’s fcc program so I can set the children up with another provider or at the child development center if they need back up care when I’m out.
Hello, I love your content! I'm looking to start an in-home as well focused on Preschool age. I've started working on lesson plans and I have activities for literacy, math and art/science daily based on the theme. I believe I've seen you do activities like this as well. Where in your schedule do you fit time for these activities? Do you usually let them do them independently or is it something you do as a group? If it's a part of your group activity does it allow time for 'Circle Time' and each activity? I'm trying to figure out how our days will go and allow time for such activities and ample time for free play. Thank you so much in advance!
That’s great! Yes, we do all of that but most learning is done the Montessori and play-based way through an environment that is set up with those activities and it’s during free choice play. And in my group activity time we will start with circle time and cover a welcome song, the weather, count to the days day on the calendar, a quick shape, letter, color and number review and then a number song that is theme related. Im working on a circle time packet and video. Then we might do some music and movement then move into a group art activity that we all do together. Hopefully this helps!
@@thecalmingchildcare9550 Thank you so much! I really do love the Montessori style as well. I just wanted to be sure the children are actually learning these things as I'd be prepping them for Kindergarten but I suppose as long as we go over the basics during Circle Time that should work. This certainly was helpful. I think I was thinking too much of having a set time schedule to do everything but it will be much better if we just did things as a free choice at their age. Do you normally switch the activity daily? I look forward to your circle time packet. I love what you do and your setup as well! Be blessed!
@@MinistryStartsAtHome you can also do small group or one on one learning with tray or table top learning activities. This is done during free choice time. So you can definitely individualize some extra learning for preK. This is the time you introduce a new activity so that they know how to use it and can do it as a free choice. The idea is if children can make the choice about what they want to do and work in they are more ch more open to learning and will master skills. Even group art and circle time is optional. I switch materials out every two weeks.
Hello again! Thanks for this. How long do you nap for? What if a child doesn't sleep? Alternatives? You're amazing! ❤️ Also, how does your wash routine go for the infants/babies...even toddlers. I struggle with that. Most times, I fill a bowl with soapy water and then I dry with a towel. It's really time consuming. Any suggestions?
Thank you ☺️ There is a state requirement that says we need at least 60 minutes. My goal is 2 hours but sometimes it’s less and often they end up sleeping for over 3 hours. They aren’t required to sleep for the one hour minimum rest time but they need to be quiet and do something quietly on their cot. Sometimes it’s a bit of a battle and there are those bad days but they learn overtime and it gets easier. Starting a new child can be difficult too.

I think that hour to regulate themselves with activity of their choosing is a great idea and helps set up positivity for the rest of the day 😊

This is just LOVELY : ) Less is more
I have missed your new videos. I have used your TPT for many templates. You are very organized and intentional. Hope to see you back very soon!

That’s great! I’m so glad to here that. At least you have nice winters where your at. Kansas gets so extreme 😬

I am thinking of becoming an FCC provider at our first duty station! Your videos are super helpful. Thank you!

Do you need some kind of licensing for offering meal in the daycare?
hope you have more videos so simple and easy

Where did you get your green leaf rug?
Ikea! It a great rug 😊
Where did you get your sensory tub?
Sadly that sensory bin is no longer on the market, but I think any deep container that is the same size. It’s about 36x24 and about 10” deep.

How does everyone get their kids to stay at the table while eating?😩

Just looks like a lot of playing, eating and napping to me.
