Hi I enjoyed watching your videos, I remember taking a child development class in high school over 15 years ago, I remember saying I wanted to become a pre-k teacher. Wow ! how much does time fly, I think God is calling me to teach. Everything is happening in Full circle, he brought me right to your video !! you are truly a blessing !! Thank You
It is really interesting seeing how things are in other countries. I'm an early childhood educator from Germany (still in training but I worked in 4 different fields during my training, with kids from 1 y/o to 14 y/o) and our routine and daily schedules are completely different than the ones I see in American pre-k's or kindergartens. A big part of out daily routine is so-called "free playtime" where children can play with whatever they want. Most routines look like this: the children arrive and free playtime starts, at around 9 a.m. we have what you probably call circle time where we gather together and greet everyone a good morning, we sing some songs and play a few games, after that we eat breakfast and after breakfast we have free playtime again. during that we do little projects with a few of the kids. Most of the time, if it's good weather, we go outside until lunch. Our schedule doesn't seem as planned out as ours but during the free playtime we do a lot of special work with some of the kids or all of them. But we see it as an very important part of the children education that they can educate themselves during this free time, as they are capable to do so and we're more like assistants to their development and of course we support them with our extra work and projects. As said before, I think it's really interesting how other countries handle things and I thinks it's a great way to learn from both, your own and other countries.
I loved reading this comment! Thank you for sharing! It would be so cool to observe another countries preschool!
Watching your videos is helping my anxiety. I was a third grade teacher and now I am being moved to Pre-K. My anxiety comes from decorating and putting my visions to life. I am going to continue to watch your videos and definitely subscribe. Thank you
Kristen, this video is AMAZING! Thank you! Keep making these videos!
This is so helpful thank you! My college is offering a new program which is early childhood education grades pre k to 3rd and I love the younger kiddos!
Thanks so much! Love seeing how other classrooms work. I teach a blended class of 3-5 yr olds in a private preschool and want to implement a little more “structured” learning centers instead of 2 huge free play blocks. This was helpful trying to transition into a different set up for next year. Many thanks!
I love seeing other classrooms too! We all have so much to continue to learn from others! Happy to help ❤️
Such great information!
I’m excited to fond your channel!
This is really helpful, I appreciate the effort that you put in the video to show us you daily schedule ❤️❤️
I’m so glad it helped you! I remember searching UA-cam for schedule ideas in the beginning of the year to help me too!
Love this
This is mad helpful! Thank you!
I will say Arizona has them down for a two hour nap, which I love... but we are THANKFUL for nap time!
Two hours sounds heavenly lol
@Kristen Lankford it truly is. It was raining today, so it was extra cozy and productive while they were down.
Thanks Kristen, this is a very helpful and informative video for me as a beginner.
You're so welcome! I'm glad it is helpful!

I love your videos! Where did you find the visuals for the different learning centers?
I just found you and you are so helpful. I have been doing this job.( preschool 3s) for 30 plus years. I am always looking for new things. I have heard of teach pay teachers but, can you think of anything else like this? Or your favorite web sight. Thank you Joy Beetz. So glad I found you
I bet you could give me ALLLLLL the ideas! My top pages for ideas are Pinterest (but kinda overwhelming), TPT and UA-cam!
I’m surprised your nap is so short! I feel like two hours is a more appropriate time
The one hour is rough! That's what our district says though...
I was wondering where you go the schedule cards? Did you make them or is it downloadable/ editable. I love your videos :)
Awe thanks! I made my schedule on lessonpix.com.
Hi! I would like to know if we can have the wood train in the block are? Thank you
👏⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
What are the red and blue folders for?
Hay quá
Can you do a video on how to become a VPK teacher or tips for getting into it the first year
I’d love too!
Yay! 😊 thanks!
This is my first year teaching sped prek and have 12 students 10 of them with behavior issues and only have ONE assistant.
You mention on your video you have two assistants…
It’s TOUGH with just one!
What are your classroom agreements? And what is the good morning song please?
My class agreements are basically our "rules":
I am going to use my watching eyes today.
I am going to use my listening ears today.
I am going to use my gentle touch today.
I am going to use my walking feet today.
I am going to use my kind words today.
I am going to use my quiet voice today.
We do quite a few morning songs through out the year. My current choice is by Dr. Jean Rise and Shine
I’m curious, when do your paras get a chance to eat lunch and take a break?
They each get a 30 minute break during our daily rest time :)
Where did you get your "tumbs up, dance, wave, etc." little circles?
*thumbs
I found those on TPT :) www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Morning-Greeting-Choices-Classroom-Greetings-Choices-Back-to-School-1918756
How many students do you generally have?
I have 10 VPK spots and 8 ESE spots for a total of 18 students.
@@Kristen_Lankford What is ESE?
Students with disabilities who recurves services through an IEP (individualized education plan).
@@Kristen_Lankford I didn’t know you taught ESE students. That’s a lot of students even with 2 paras. Are you the only teacher?
