Are they single moms, moms who just want some extra learning and fun activity for their kids. . . Parents who need a day off, etc. I have been researching lots about day cares and have seen that almost every single one of them start at 6.am. and close at 6.p.m, due to parents working long hours. I was surprised to see you started at 8 and ended the day at 5. I didn't really see that as an option because I did not think it to be possible. . .
Thank you for watching and that's a great question. @@maribelcruz6636 good question- I have sick days incorporated into my contract. When you get sick, it’s unpredictable so that is the only time daycare would be closed with a short notice.
I’ve done home daycare for a few years. I was considering reopening and adding in the homeschool group as my kids are older now. Any suggestions for nap time with full time school age kids? :)
That would be great and it benefits you and your children. Nap time for school-agers? If they nap, then they nap but if they don’t, I would delegate 1 on 1 time for them or give them “special activities” they can do that they may not normally be able to do in the presence of a toddler. This may include working with real tools, small beads, glass objects, etc.
I create my lesson plans based on my enrolled children- this helps make it more fun and concepts easier to grasp because they have a genuine interest for them.
I really like how clean and organized you are. The only thing I wanted to mention is that mixing chemicals and using bleach sort of threw me off. I know you have to sanitize, which I am with 100 percent. However, there are safer cleaners that you can use. Just a thought❤
Thank you for watching and good eye. I understand your standpoint about mixing chemicals. If you noticed, in the beginning I used Clorox in a jug by itself. And after lunch, I used Clorox in a spray bottle followed by a plant based cleaning product. The Clorox in the spray bottle is significantly less concentrated than the Clorox in the jug thus preventing chemical reactions. Also, we have fresh air circulating in addition to an air purifier in the center. I do agree that there are more eco friendly products to use but with my experience, nothing beats germs more than Clorox.
Also each daycare center and provider is different keep in mind that she's operating out of her home so home and daycare centers are two completely different regulations.
@@MyDaycareCoach thank you so much for your quick response. That’s fantastic!!!!! I’ve been binge watching your channel and you are definitely the one to follow. Please continue to share your journey, I am certainly taking notes. Blessings!
Hi Do you need to be a licensed teacher to open up a home day care? How do get a program what to teach children based on their age? Im a licensed nurse but no longer practicing..im currently in the corporate world but is contemplating opening up a home day care so i can stay at home with my kids and at the same time earn a living and do my own business though im here in the philippines..however, there's not much of information here as home day cares are not common here but there is growing market of working parents seeking trustworthy care givers who can take care of their kids so they can work.
You do not need to be a certified teacher to open a daycare; based on your state/ province, there are various requirements. There are numerous curriculum options to choose from that have lesson plans you can follow or create :)
Thats good to know though I have to do my own research and probaby coordinate with various government agencies in my area to get the appropriate licensing and trainings..thanks so much for your reply 😊
It’s less of becoming a daycare owner and more of a quality provider for children…you have to not only be dedicated and committed but your energy has to match with the children or it’ll feel like a very stressful job. And I wouldn’t recommend staying at a stressful job lol. If you love kids and are willing to continuously educate yourself on them, it’s amazing.
@MyDaycareCoach wow I didn't think you would respond, thank you.. Do you know the zoning for residence childcare centers..if you own a home can you automatically have a home childcare center??
You don’t get paid from the government. However, if a family you serve receives childcare assistance (scholarships/vouchers), that may cover a portion or all of tuition. Then the State will cover that child’s tuition or portion and pay that to you as the provider.
As long as no child is getting abused its always great and i pray this is the case here. Me personally i would never be wearing headphones cleaning while kids are in a seperate room with no supervision not every kid has the same personality, we dont know what goes on at home so i just would never risk it by wearing earphones.

@@MyDaycareCoach I really don't care what's offensive to you, my main concern is that the children are watched over and supervised.
