I have worked in Elem. Pre k 18 1/2 yrs and had benign brain tumor in April of 2024, been recuperating and missing teaching as a Bilingual Para Prof. I want to do as you and turn my garage into a small day care.. I would like to provide summer prep for children beginning Pre k, help to getting them ready. I am seeking God's Will. I am also thinking tutoring.. an by hour. I love what you have. Love teaching early childhood & like you only want 4 or 5 children is all. A fence divides my home with my back yard & private Christian school, It has pre k to H.S. also I have another Christian day care across the street from my development. We know how a class fills up & leaving a waiting list, that's where I come in..lol...due to my recuperation I pray to Jesus for a small day care like yours, I see God's been Blessing you because I do have lots of patience & love, your encouraging me!! I been working with the exact centers & manipulatives.

You've accumulated so much over the years! 😅 my biggest concern was not having a large enough amount of toys and activities to Jumpstart my daycare. So your comment about starting even if you only have one toy was for me! You are well equipped! 🙌🏽 i love your space ❤

Thank you! I accumulated items without me knowing I accumulated lol. You will see in can you start shopping for items you won’t be able to stop. I also was blessed to be gifted a lot of items. One thing I would recommend is set a monthly budget. Put aside $5 dollars at least a week into an account, envelope, jar that’s specifically for daycare items. Start off slow, and shop at $5 below, dollar tree , thrift stores, yard sales. Don’t go out and buy expensive items if you can’t afford them. One or twice a year treat your childcare to an expensive item if you can.
