Very nice looking building. Thank You for the price info at the end. I am looking to have one built about 75 miles south of Dallas and planned on Mueller. Hope I find a good builder like you did when I get ready. Big thumbs up, and thanks again.
Hello My Friend . . . if you go with Mueller, use the GreenSky loan service. You can put your down payment and building kit on a 0% for 12 months account. They approve in less than five minutes. Also, ask Mueller for an I-Beam price in addition to the Cold-Formed price. I used Bee Happy Buildings to erect the structure. I think they will travel 150 miles from their office here in East Texas. John is a good contractor. PS: I have a completed video on YT so you can see how it looks with items inside. Glad I could be of help . . . Thank you!
Very nice shop. I’m wanting to do pretty much the same building except with 16” Eve and overhang. I definitely like the additional girder Most 40’ building only have 3
A 16 footer will give you plenty of room for a loft. I wanted 12 foot walls because I am afraid of heights and in case I needed to get on the roof . . . thanks for watching. Congrats to you on your future buidling.
Thanks for the video. I am doing a 30x40x12 right now. I wanted 3x5 windows because that matches the house but like you that puts it close to the ground if the top of the window is the same height as the top of the man door.
really liked your video when i saw you only paid $1,200 for concrete i was very jealous cheapest price i could get for my 30x40 pad with 18" footer cost me $12,0000.
That is the size of my dream shop. But I would have stopped them long before installing those windows so low to the floor. They should have been centered with the top of the door to keep people from wanting to climb through. It also would have allowed you to put work benches, etc. under them instead of through them, or having to center them on the walls. Over all, for an insulated building of that size, the cost is excellent, and the time frame it took them is well above my expectations.
Yea, I agree 100 percent with your comments about the windows. Cannot figure what the architects were thinking when I saw the blueprints. Thanks for watching!
My brother and i are planing on adding a living quarters on to are shop. We live in texas and Muelle is close to us. How much was your shop if you dont mind me asking? Also is it good quality? Thank you
I came out at 40k, but I added a heater and more lights after a year in the building. I would recommend an I-Beam frame if you are going to use a gantry. I am happy with the building thus far. Thanks for watching.
Thank you for sharing video. I was looking at your pricing at end of video and thank you for that. How did you get concrete so affordable? What year did you have that installed and what part of US did you construct? Do you have beams in your concrete?
Hello My Friend, I think my concrete contractor used wire instead of rebar. It is six inches thick because of their mistake; however, that is a good thing if I decide to add a lift one day. I had the building built in July - September 2020. I am in East Texas. No beams in concrete. Thank you for the questions and watching. Have a great day.
@@danielchambers1958 Well I am still waiting for the building. Got all my permits approved today 8/25/21putting 24Inches of foundation dirt and 5 inches of cement. PS I changed the size to 40x85x16.

Daniel, your eaves were 12 ft? Was the roof pitch 3/12? we are looking at building a 30x40 also and are wondering if the 12-ft eaves would give us enough room to put up a loft for storage in a portion of the building? Your building looks great.
Hello Sir . . . yes, the eaves are 12 foot and it is a 3/12 pitch. The center is about 16 or 16 1/2 tall inside. I did not want tall ceilings due to energy costs and such. I think a loft would fit because I am building some suspension shelving for storage that will be seven feet off the ground. I hope this helps . . . let me know if you need some measurements. We see this so much, customers don't want to pay to remove tree when it's easier without a building then they build under it, it makes the tree cost 3 times more!
Yes Sir . . . I removed it to prevent future damage due to strong winds and tornadoes. I agree, the cost to remove afterwards would have been doubled. Thanks for watching!
