Thank you for being an inspiration to me, Dr. Yasha!
Thanks for the video. I found it very difficult to find good data differentiating the salaries of interventional vs diagnostic radiologists, so your data which did was super helpful.
I find your videos so refreshing and informative! Also, love to see the female representation in radiology!!
Interesting video Dr. Yasha!!
Thank you Dr. Yasha!
Hi, thank you for the video. Do you have any information regarding teleradiology payments? How much is the average per CT, per MRI, etc? Thanks!
OMG. That's Tom Stavros' book in the background!! (I used to do US guided vacuum assisted bx workshops for him and Steve Parker when they came into town, way back in the day when they were a duo.) You must be planning to do a breast fellowship to have that book! Best of luck to you. Re salaries, a lot has to do with how much work or overtime work you do. Re gender gap, I'm a breast rad in the west coast (working for a huge HMO for a long time), and the base salary is the same for everyone, M or F. But if some want to work every weekend or do extra every night, they obviously make more. On the other hand, if you don't want to do any overtime, you don't make as much. The opportunity is the same for everyone. Where will you be doing your fellowship (if not confidential)? Best of luck to you!
Yes it is Stavros! Where are you on the west coast? I’ll be moving to California after fellowship! I’ll be doing breast imaging at Sloan Kettering starting in July.
@@YashaGuptaMD Congratulations on your fellowship! That's great! You must be excited to move to California. I'm in the L.A. area (suburb). The job market was wide open this past year. 'Hopefully it'll be the same for you next year (or this fall actually). Let me know if you have any questions about applying. (I'm toward the end of my career, so pretty far removed from that whole process, but I can give you my 2 cents, lol.)
Hi Dr. Yasha, I had a question. If some community programs don't have ESIR, is it still possible to do be selected into an ESIR program at another residency program? Thanks!
Hi Syed, no unfortunately you have to stay at your home program for ESIR. So choose a residency program with ESIR.
Please how can an international student apply for a radiography in USA
Hi, do you have any salary stats for Radiology Technicians in Boston? Im looking for a career change and the information online is extremely varied. Thank you.
How difficult is the AEP and how many students succeed via this and how much it will cost in total, and do they pay to fellow students?
It's better to become a biochemical engineer but I don't have the time or money to pursue a career like that 😅
I enjoy your channel and must say that you are so pretty, sweet and a joy to watch. I learn a lot as well.
Thanks for the video but at least you could have given us data from your environment or something that you are sure about. Because we have looked up this data online but the point of asking you is to get a better accurate estimate since the online ones are quite wide in range.
Real Radiologist Salary! #doctor #salary #radiologist
I want to pursue a career in the med field that can give me both enough money and time to climb the world’s highest mountains. I was recommended radiology because they work in large groups and was told that I would be able to take 1.5-2 months off out of my year to climb. Is this true?
In private practice people routinely get 8-12 weeks off per year. You would have to coordinate with your group but radiology is a great specialty to pursue outside interests 😊
ma'am how to do research in college for improve CV??
Hopefully this video can help: ua-cam.com/video/avbEFf2igHU/v-deo.html
Are these number with a fellowship? or general radiology?
Most radiologists do a fellowship so I would assume this is with a fellowship.
@@YashaGuptaMD thank you for responding :)
Is this after taxes
How many years you've studied to be a radiology diagnostic?
4 years college + 4 years med school + 1 intern year + 4 years residency + 1 year fellowship
@@YashaGuptaMD 14 years 😳😳😳😳☠️? OMG
What about a tech in RD
Please make a video on how can IMGS match into radiology residency and by 2024 only students from WFME accredited medical college take USMLE how this is going to impact on Indian students
Here is my playlist on matching into radiology as an IMG: ua-cam.com/play/PLB-r319hherH69NNMw33x8aInBMUmC2d_.html
As far as the ECFMG update, looks like many schools in India and Europe are still not on the list for WFME but sounds like more will be added based on some preliminary readings. Unfortunately I don't have more insight than that.
@@YashaGuptaMD thanks for your reply
Hi, great video!
A relative of mine did a CT scan of the face and he forgot a mentos that was in the mouth, is there any health risk? He’s very concerned about the radiation, chemical reaction or some other effect, if I had your answer I’d be very grateful!
I don't give medical advice online, sorry!
@@YashaGuptaMD Ok, understandable, thank you
Hay quá
Hey are you from INDIA ?? if yes then did you cleared USMLE ?? Plz reply diii
I’m Indian but went to a US MD school
@@YashaGuptaMD that's a huge benifit
How many years did you go to school for radiology
4 years college + 4 years med school + 1 intern year + 4 years residency + 1 year fellowship
@@YashaGuptaMD I’ve heard about only going for two years, do you know anything about that? Is it different radiology jobs for different years of school?
@@maxcox2661 that is a radiology technician, they go for two years to learn about it and they don’t diagnose. The radiologists that diagnose have to go to that amount of school. Technicians usually just take the pictures I’m pretty sure, you can look up the difference.
@@YashaGuptaMD😊
How much on average is taken out of Salary for taxes
Depends on state. NY and California are up there in income tax %
What is the fear that radiologist don’t have to be local and hospitals can contract out of state, remote, cheaper. And then the rise of AI, not replacing all radiologists but reducing the need for many of them.
There are rules against billing and reimbursing radiologists out of the country. You can read remotely though :)
Is this true?? Cause I read and heard they only get $60-$120k net annually
Are you talking about radiologists? Definitely >120K annually.
you are probably quoting radiology technologist salary....
Is this after taxes?
No
