Story 5: Bro what was wrong with this BF? Does he not know he put the OP and their 14-month year old son in danger? Yeah, this lady may have been a nice person, but what if that wasn't the case? He was a jolly, Santa Claus type, in looks and personality. Providentially a more wise parent had come along and told the man “Sorry sir, but it is against the rules for anyone we don’t know to hike with us.” The scout troop let the man go ahead down the fire access road. They didn’t see him again that day.
A week later, that exact same man’s photos turned up in the newspapers. He had attacked a teenage boy with a knife after convincing him to go off a side trail with him from that same fire road.

On the first story again, op get yourself a safe deposit box and put all legal information in it so they cannot get a hold of any of it.
The story with the ex not being invited sounds like the friend just wanted to fight with their ex and was upset they thought the op prevented them from doing it
Wow- that 1st story sounds like what my cousin (now ex) was doing to me for years & I never knew it until later when I wanted to move to Indiana to be with friends. He ACTUALLY put a freeze on my accounts & ran a potential realtor off, he even had Adult Protective Services hound me with calls, put me on police surveillance because he told them I "robbed a convenience store and I'm hiding out with the money!" Of course it was a lie & I had a hard time stopping him! He even haunted me in Indiana & now that I'm moving to Arkansas, I HOPE he doesn't find me there!😮

*Story 1:* OMG! Don't even *think* of doing it! Don't give a damn thing to your parents! If they're willing to fuck up your life with financial fraud, who's to say what they'll do to your child's account? So no! I wouldn't give them a damn thing! Absolutely not!
Story 1: You do not need a social security number to set up a bank account in someone else's name. You can just change your will so that the grandchild would inherit the account once the grandparents have passed. Obviously, the grandparents were trying to commit fraud again so good for OP standing up to them.
Story 3: That's extremely annoying. I hope OP doesn't often that childish customers like that.
Story 4: This friend is an idiot. He gets mad at OP for looking out for him by excluding his ex, but then proves OP right when he and his ex cause all hell to break loose.
Story 5: They're both in the wrong. OP was too quick to jump to conclusions, but the boyfriend's response was very inappropriate. Pro tip if the narrator takes a long time to defend his stance, that's proof he's being biased to one side.

Last story, the lady might have thought that since OP gaver her water and the menu that she would also be taking her order in a minute, not disappearing. Even if OP thinks that 3-1/2 minutes is a short time, maybe the lady was in a hurry. Perhaps that's why she asked about salad as it's quick, and the employee just disappearing upset her.
Grandparents don't have the right to make such a demand.

ok i would not share my cream either, but due to allergies i am dairy free and i do not share. My thing is if you do not have it not my issue. I do have a couple of friends that i have went in with a we have bought things to share non dairy suppies with and that went fine.

The boyfriend was very much out of line but I feel that it needs to be said that the weaponization of religion was done by those two founded organized religion. Story 4: OP is the jerk.. they should have talk to the friend about inviting the ex or not… if friend knew about the decision they wouldn’t have been upset about choices being made for them… when my fiancé broke up with me my best friend at the time didn’t tell me about her party she was having because my ex was going to be there thought “this would have been too awkward “ … finding that out was probably worse
Nah I wouldn't invite them regardless. This ex is already a pain in the ass shown by what happened to this party. It's not just because of the tension that would happen at this party, but what if this ex causes ANOTHER scene?
