First story, "NO!" is a full sentence.

  • @QuickManEXE

Story 1: Yeah, this guy has creepy stalker vibes written all over him. He is definitely not a good 'regular'' customer. The OP shouldve gotten management to get this guy away from her. Also, the OP should look at getting some kind of restraining order against him. The OP has someoneand made it clear that she wasn't interested in him... he really needed to take a hint here. The OP has absolutely no reason whatsoever to feel bad here. This guy needs to get his life together.
Story 2: Not the jerk at all here. If Sarah is willing to lie about that, and everything else she's done/said, then what else has she lied about or willing to lie about? Yeah... its safe to say that she didnt pass the "vibe check" and its easy to see why. I feel bad for Carly, though. She sure didnt deserve that and she should know the truth about Sarah.
Story 3: Not the jerk at all.... and the dad has no right to show up. He and the sister have better things to do? Then they have no right to show up and no right to get mad here. Unless they had some very serious medical appointment or something, what really is more important than missing your childs graduation? Come on now. If the dad cant be bothered to show up, then he has absolutely zero right to get upset here.
Story 4: No way is the OP a jerk here, the stepdad and anyone on his side are the jerks here. The fact that they basically want you to ignore your deceased father and living paternal grandfather is just sickening and pathetic. The stepdad acting this way and both the dinner and the grandpa behind all the scenes is just rude, selfish and ridiculous. The OP has every right to want to include the grandpa here and i think its great, personally. Also, i think the original idea of the grandpa and the stepdad sharing the roles was a great idea too, until the stepdad started behaving this way. Honestly, if i were the OP here, i would tell the stepdad that if he didnt knock this off, that he and anyone on his side would be uninvited from the wedding. They very clearly only care about themselves.
Story 5: What a moron.... this guy doesn't deserve to be on the roads. What idiot these days parks in a fire lane?? Also, who doesn't have their vehicle insured and registered theses days? This guy was just a complete idiot and something tells me, he was likely a scammer.

Story 3: I can relate. When I was in high school, my parents’ toxic friends wanted to see my ballet performance. I was allowed to buy/reserve up to three tickets, and I did so for them with the promise of reimbursement from my parents. Those friend of my parents were a wife, husband, and their idiot son whom I wasn’t interested but they wanted to fix me up with him after high school (I wasn’t allowed to date in high school).
The three of them called me less than 24 hours before and told me “We won’t be able to make it to your show on time, can you get them to let us in even so?”. I told them that it wasn’t allowed. They gave me an attitude about it, despite the whole thing being out of my hands. I snapped at them and said “Just don’t come then, I don’t appreciate you doing this to me!”. I then hung up and got on the phone, and found someone in my dance troupe who needed three tickets so I sold them to her.
Later, the three idiots tried to get into my show halfway through act two, but Will Call said they didn’t have tickets for them, or any tickets left. After the show, my parents gave me hell because they had to hear from their friends about me selling the tickets I had paid for, and they couldn’t get into the show. I explained my side of the story and they calmed down, but then those people spread rumors about me being unreliable. My parents set the story straight and told those people to shut up and stop spreading lies about me. They aren’t friends with them anymore.
TL/DR: My parents’ awful friends wanted to see my ballet performance, couldn’t be bothered to get there on time nor give me more than 24 hours notice, I sold the tickets I had bought/held for them (originally my parents would reimburse me). Parents’ friends got mad and tried to spread lies about me, but my parents put a stop to that and ended the friendship.

Story 3: op is not the jerk at all. The dad should have been happy that the OP was graduating and told her congratulations. They would have also tried to make it on time. The dad and sister are the jerks in this story. Good on the op for giving her dad and sister what they deserved.
Story 4: No way is the op a jerk. Its her wedding and she can refuse to give her step-dad the role he wants if she wants too. I agree with the narrator on the fact that the step-dad shouldn't have put the op on the spot the way that he did.

9:41 no her SISTER had the procedure. So that even worse. She wasn't exaggerating her illness. She was stealing her sister's story. A biopsy of an internal organ isn't minor. It's done to check for cancer or access the reason behind other ailments.

I gave up trying to get my parents attention in middle school due to my sister being a entitled pos then she dropped out senior year after falling into the bad crowds , then they kept on her to get her to go back or get a ged but refused it wasn’t until she had a massive new years eve party that destroyed the house that she ran away because my parents were furious because they had to cut work short and fly home the string that broke the camels back was that all my bedroom furniture and everything in my bedroom was used for a bon fire from books to cloths

First story. Why didn’t the manager step in and have him either move to another spot on the premise of not coming to you for drinks and if not leave. This could have ended badly. Managers that don’t protect their staff don’t need to be managers.

Story 3: k so dad is like:
“We have plans the day of your grad”
“I’m doing the valedictorian speech! And we need pictures too!”
    What should have happened:
“K daughter we will do our plans the day after ok”
It is so insane to think that he is entitled to tickets he didn’t care to use or even appreciate in the first place. There is no reason for OP to feel bad for dad putting changeable plans over a once in a lifetime moment, especially if OP was giving the valedictorian speech.

Well, I'm a male boy and I like hugs, but there are certain people who can ask for it.
Like, you can't just go to a stranger and ask for a hug out of the blue.

  • @MDonteMoore
    @MDonteMoore 16 днів тому

Story 3# I think we need few more details. First who paid for the tickets? Sounds like she did but just want to clarify. I think we also need more details on what plans they had. Was this a major event? OP didn't say what it was but if this was something just as important, I mean the parents may have had to divide and conquer.
Easy fix would have been just to communicate if they are not going to be there, then she could either ask for the amount back for the parent (if they bought it they can do what they want with it, attend or not) or recoup the cost elsewhere. It may sound mean, but at the end of the day she bought these for people to attend, seem like a reasonable boundary to me.
Story 4# Regardless if he brought her back from the brink, she gets to pick who does what a her wedding. If he doesn't like it then just don't attend, that's his choice. Period.

Story 1- I've had something a little similar to that happen to me.
I was single at the time but just trying to get some sort of work at a bar or anything else hospitality related. I was doing a job trial for a couple of nights, on the 2nd night we had some local band perform so it was a busier night. This guy was by the bar trying to slip me his name and number, which I left at the till. He tried again later when the bar had calmed down a bit. After my shift I was able to look this guy up on fb and turns out he was old enough to be my dad 🤢 what's worse is I still see the guy from time to time at my current job. But thank God I've has Jo more interactions like that anymore.

What the hell kind of penny pinching lick spittle school sells tickets for graduation ceremony???
Prom I get, other school public functions I get. But graduation?? I'd crunch some funding numbers to see if the school is lying to you. I know it's been a long time since I graduated but they charge for family members at graduation?? Something else is afoot here.
Reminds me of when I was in school and discovered that the school was fleecing the students with dues monthly ($60 per student for every year) and for event tickets, all with the excuse that the money went to ether the event, or the senior trip, or in the case of the senior class, prom and the senior trip.....
$60 a month for 900+ students for a year, not to mention $60, for prom tickets. Calculate similarl numbers per student then factor in catering for the prom, and the fact they went to the cheapest places, and pretty much bought bulk food supplies from Sam's club, and had. Cafeteria staff dish it out.......
Let's just say several thousands of dollars went unaccounted for. When I brought this up and got people talking, dues and ticket prices went for a nose dive or were dropped entirely for the lesser events.

Story 3: a person doesn’t do well in school for their parents… there’s is nothing that making grades and achievements have anything to do with parents in the first place so why people throw a fit for parents no being at graduations is ridiculous.. your parents aren’t going to do your job for you… you’re parents aren’t going to take your college courses…you work your ass of for yourself- that’s it.. that’s all that matters

  • @kjt7971

    Story 1.
He must have been ugly. With women (for those of you millennials who never knew a woman's touch), the only difference between "Creepy" and "Endearing", is whether or not she is attracted to him. This has been scientifically proven. Exact same actions, if he is a hot guy, he is endearing, but if he is average or below, then he is creepy.
    Story 3.
First of all, the step father is trying to redeem himself, because he feels inferior. I am going to make an assumption that the mother was widowed, and remarried. So, in a way, I do not frown at widows as much as I do divorcees and single moms.... I look at the guys who go after divorcees and single moms, worse than I do the divorcee or single mom. At any rate, those guys are "Clueless Uncle Chester Knackered Suckers" (use the first letter of each word). A man taking on a widow is actually rather honorable. Either way, he was asking for too much, because no matter what, *he is not her father* and the grandfather is the closest thing to being her father. So, he needs to stay in his lane.
