@@BigBrotherTheWatcher1984 that’s basically what I was saying there was more than just one species and subspecies in the sabre toothed tiger/Smilodon species but most people think there was only one which was the largest Smilodon. It’s kind of like when you say Tyrannosaur people think of Tyrannosaurus Rex as it was the largest and last in the evolutionary chain before the large extinction event came and killed off all the dinosaurs. There were many other Tyrannosaurs in the subspecies living in different parts of the world like China where as Tyrannosaurus Rex came from North America and also had the biggest brain of all the dinosaurs (to our knowledge) with it’s eyes being in a different position to say Allosaurus and other large carnivores giving it excellent vision. In Jurassic Park the guy says about the Tyrannosaurus Rex “don’t move as it’s vision is based on movement and it can’t see you if you don’t move” which palaeontologists say now that’s incorrect as it had excellent vision and unlike Allosaurus and other large carnivores Tyrannosaurus Rex had good sense of depth and perception and could see it’s prey even if it was stood still where as Allosaurus and other were like horses and rabbits when it came to vision with poor sense of depth and perception. And if the large extinction event didn’t happen then the dinosaurs could possibly be alive today (ice age would’ve been tough on some but they weren’t all cold blooded a lot were warm blooded) and the Tyrannosaurus Rex would’ve kept evolving into an even more scary predator maybe like the Indominus Rex from Jurassic World (Tyrannosaurus Rex is my favourite dinosaur and has been since I was 3 but on the Jurassic Park game on the PS4/PS5 the Indominus Rex is my favourite with it’s black and blue colour)
@BigBrotherTheWatcher1984, Pantherinae is not a valid subfamily, all living cat species belong to just one subfamily, which is Felinae, making Felinae the only cat subfamily alive today, just like all living dog species belong to just one subfamily, which is Caninae, making Caninae the only dog subfamily alive today, two subfamilies of both cats and dogs were recognized, but are now extinct, the two subfamilies of cats that are now extinct are Proailurinae and Machairodontinae and the two subfamilies of dogs that are now extinct are Hesperocyoninae and Borophaginae, all living cat species belong to the subfamily Felinae because Felinae is the only cat subfamily alive today and cats are the sole extant family of the superfamily Feloidea because cats are not closely related to any other family of feliform carnivorans alive today, just like how all living dog species belong to the subfamily Caninae because Caninae is the only dog subfamily alive today and dogs are the sole extant family of the superfamily Canoidea.

It is. It literally takes one google search to find out that the ngandong tiger is indeed a tiger sub species of its own called, “panthera tigris Soloensis”.
@@Jimmoieie You can find all kinds of things on google. The tiger ‘experts’ made up the ‘600 lb’ average weight of the Siberian tiger, then when actual weights were done, found the average to be slightly less than an African lion male. @petermurage8685, actually, you are incorrect, hyenas are more closely related to civets and mongooses, while saber-toothed cats are classified in the family Felidae along with all other cats, in fact, cats are the most different and distantly related from all the extant feliform carnivorans, the hyenas, aardwolf, civets, mongooses, malagasy carnivorans, genets, oyans, linsangs, and feripaka all belong to the infraorder Crocutopsia, which contains all extant feliforms aside from cats, this is due to their more superficially caniform-like characteristics.
@swalihmm, correct, all extant feliforms other than cats look nothing like cats and instead look more like caniforms, which is why all extant feliforms other than cats belong to the infraorder Crocutopsia, while cats are the sole extant family of the infraorder Aeluropsia.
@blaisepayzdexter7944, true, but I didn't say anything about hyenas being more closely related to dogs, I officially said hyenas, aardwolves, civets, mongooses, malagasy carnivorans, genets, oyans, linsangs, and feripakas all look like caniforms, which is why they are classified together in the infraorder Crocutopsia, which contains many extant feliforms, but not cats (family Felidae), Crocutopsia means "hyena-faced ones", this grouping is defined by the more superficially caniform-like characteristics seen in all of these feliform species, cats (family Felidae) are the only extant family of the infraorder Aeluropsia, which means "cat-faced ones".

Tigers are very capable of killing any type of bear, including lions, because the tiger's body composition is dominated by muscle tissue, so tigers have excellent strength, even better than all lions. When a bear is ignored by a tiger, it is a sign that the tiger simply does not want to kill the bear and not because it does not have the ability to kill the bear.

The taxonomy of lions is very confusing some people say cave lion was Panthera leo spalaea others call it Panthera spalaea. Please make a video on extinct lions
The scientific name of the cave lion is actually Uncia spelaea.
Clemson Tigers 🐅
I swear I can’t trust a word he said after he said a saber tooth is actually a tiger it’s just a name bud 😂😂😂
Fun fact: Wildsciencias channel was 10m years old..
The Tasmanian Tiger never should have been included in the first video.
Sad we dont get to see these awesome creature
I like Bengal tigers the most
Very cool and did you know that saber toothed tiger 🐅 also my favourite type of tiger is the Siberian tiger ❤😊
Actually, members of the Smilodon genus are more correctly nicknamed "saber-toothed lions" because their behavior was far more similar to lions than tigers, but "saber-toothed lion" is still a misnomer as both lions and tigers are in the Felinae subfamily, while Smilodon belongs to the subfamily Machairodontinae.
@@indyreno2933 "members of the Smilodon genus are more correctly nicknamed "saber-toothed lions" because their behavior was far more similar to lions than tigers"
- a common name doesn't have to accurately reflect the nature of the taxon!
"lions are in the Felinae subfamily"

IM IMPRESSED W KNOWLEDGE OF CHAT EXCEPT THE DVMBASSES SAYING LIONS OUTPOWER TIGERS
Really doubt there was a subspecies called the Ngadong tiger. Might have been an unusually large tiger, if it's real at all
Then you have the muscle to body weight ratio for the tiger stated by a Chinese expert to be around 70% muscle. Real scientists state that muscles would break bones and joints at that percentage, and he later admitted he might have miscalculated. The exaggerations and myths are rampant and therefore I doubt this is real either.
@@matthewswanson1833 you’re implying the ngandong tiger isn’t real as modern day tigers are overrated, which is simply a non sequitur. Also, the ngandong tiger does exist and has fossils to prove so. At this point you’re just appealing to an argument from repetition and invincible ignorance, and your emotional bias is clouding your ability to think rationally.
@@Jimmoieie Not really, this IS called rational thinking. I just gave a few of many examples of exaggerations regarding specifications of the tiger. I can also give many examples of how the lion is vastly underrated in the same sequence.
@@matthewswanson1833 no, you implying ngandong tigers aren’t real because modern day tigers are overrated is a non sequitur. Your so called “examples” don’t disprove the existence of the ngandong tiger and to assert other wise would be a non sequitur
Next video caspian tiger is cape lion
There is literally nothing as Saber tooth tiger, tigers are not closely related to smilodons.
Dengerous and biggest powerful tiger extinct=
borneon tiger, nagangdong tiger.
Borneon tiger most powerful than mosbach lion. Borneon vs mosbach
60/40
Megalania vs gigantopitecus.
The sabertooth is not a tiger nor a lion It’s completely different species of big cats.
This is the sick part. They have taken Smilodon bones and put then against Siberian Tiger bones. There is no question. The Smilodon Populator bones are ridiculous in size. Like I said. Nice kitty!!!
It’s so sad that so many animals are going extinct but I am still surprised the most powerful cat from this time tiger is going extinct!?
Tiger are the largest cats, i have been whating for this video
Hard to believe a lion was bigger and tougher than the Rosbach tiger
Video start kehte hai 2 ad. Video bina dek khe hi jaa raha hu
The sabertooth tiger is like a hyena that existed millions of years ago
The sabre toothed tiger wasnt really a tiger. They say its more closely related to hyenas
Sabre toothed tigers are cats, while
Hyenas arent.
@swalihmm, correct, all extant feliforms other than cats look nothing like cats and instead look more like caniforms, which is why all extant feliforms other than cats belong to the infraorder Crocutopsia, while cats are the sole extant family of the infraorder Aeluropsia.
@@indyreno2933 Actually, hyenas are more closely related to cats than dogs. Just a fun fact.
Nice Kitty, Nice Kitty!
Yes why did you show the Siberian tiger one of the Tigers that's been around for years and showing today just like this guy just said they're capable of taking down any large prey even Bears they're beautiful and they're huge don't get the respect that they deserve Siberian tigers 2024 show them
Tigers are very capable of killing any type of bear, including lions, because the tiger's body composition is dominated by muscle tissue, so tigers have excellent strength, even better than all lions. When a bear is ignored by a tiger, it is a sign that the tiger simply does not want to kill the bear and not because it does not have the ability to kill the bear.
Most of the pics (In color) of tigers was Bengal or Siberian tigers.
Bornean tiger is 550 kg
Smilodon is not a tiger
How about Malayan Tiger?
9:16
Regardless of the era, Lions will always own Tigers....
Next time on Wildciencias: Putin vs Stalin!
Same for lions too
Bornean is first second is smilidon anyways we need to save more animals
SMILODON: Subfamily (machairodontinae), genus (smilodon) and species (smilodon populator)
LION & TIGER: Subfamily (pantherinae), genus (panthera), and species (panther leo & panther tigris) respectively.
In short, smilodon IS a cat but NOT a lion or tiger.
Bruh The Sabertooth isn’t a tiger
If there’s such thing as a sabre-toothed tiger, it must be the ancestor of the tiger species
But still, according to Walking with Beasts, the narrator says that there’s no such thing as a sabre-toothed tiger, the correct name for these beasts is sabre-toothed cats
"If there’s such thing as a sabre-toothed tiger, it must be the ancestor of the tiger species"
- that's a non-sequitur
- they are not ancestral to tigers
MY WIFE WAS A TABBY FELINE I FELT LIKE I WENT ON A MYSTICAL JOURNEY THEN CLIMACTICALLY SQUARED OFF AGAINST A TIGRESS, USED A SPELL TURNING HER HARMLESS THEN INDIANA JONES STYLE ESCAPED WITH HER HOME
MY BREATHTAKING FELINEGIRL 🐈
SOUNDS CREEPY BUT TO ME ITS PERFECT RAW REAL
SHE EVEN HAD NOTABLE TIGER STRIPES 🐅
The sabertooth isn't even in the same genus as the tiger.
Sabertooths are different species. Smiladon are smaller than sabers. I think there are 3 more sabertooth cats
House cat arguable the most ferocious of cats
Reputable websites, and most recent posts all recognize the Ngandong tiger as the largest tiger species that has ever existed. The Bornean tiger is just a hoax exaggerated from the few unusual fossils, by the bois.
tripe
@@Dr.Ian-Plect found one
The bornean tiger has been a known sub species of tiger since Piper et al 2008’s study, “Confirmation of the Presence of the Tiger Panthera tigris (L.) in Late Pleistocene and Holocene Borneo”. A new study about the bornean tiger was released in 2019 called, “Short notes on a second tiger (Panthera tigris) from Late Pleistocene Borneo” by paleontologist Sherani, in which the bornean tiger specimen, “SFC-1345” was estimated to have an average mass of 479.88+-59.31 (kg) via isometry.
Also, the ngandong tiger is a sub species of tiger, not a species.
Fun fact: tiger is bigger then a lion the lion looks big bc of theyre mane
Let say that tiger is the king of the jungle/forest
And lion is the king of the grassland/savannah if u don't believe that lion dont live at jungle but some lion lives on jungle/forest is the asiatic lion
Damn there’s 6?
cool
Lions are king of the jungle. Until you throw him in the Forrest with a Tiger.
Ngandong tiger is the biggest and strongest tiger in history.
Sabertooth tiger aka Smilodon populator isn't a tiger.
anciant tigers vs ancient lions
Bornean tiger too
It seems all these animals have no natural enemies accept man

Why isnt the bornean tiger on the list?
It just a myth
Perhaps because the discovery of this tiger's fossil is recent !!🤔

All this type of tigers are still found in Naga hill.. if you think I lied yes I did😗
