Hello had a quick question so if you put a cable from one of your accessories in the middle bolt will it drain your battery even if the car is off ? Thank you
@@danielgonzaga857 Red is usually asking for CONSTANT power. So if you have 3 wires, it SHOULD be POWER (CONSTANT), ACCESSORY (KEY ON), and GROUND (BLACK). This is usually for something like a car stereo. It needs a constant power to remember stuff like your settings, time, favorite channels, etc. It will not drain your battery if it his hooked up in that manner. What accessory are you trying to install?
@@Tjx9mm turn signals and the horn are both controlled by a switch (or button). They should likely connect to the constant power so you can use them without having the vehicle on. Horn should definitely be available to be activated without the ignition on.
I am late to the party but thank you for this the previous owner has everything going to the battery it looks like a rats nest. One question eventually with rock lights bars stereos etc etc you will run out of room on the ground and acc. So then what?
They make additional power blocks that you can wire in that give you more spots to hook accessories up to if you want it to be super clean. Just Google can am power block
No expert on wiring but i have a stage 4 rockford fosgate on my x3 i paid 3k for someoone to install and this is the 3rd to 4th time i have problems with it sometimes by sub wont work or a chase light and now recently only by tweeters work i got no sound coming from my sub or speakers i wannna attempt to rewire the darn thing myself or could it just be a battery problem ?
hi @everesth2751! First off, I would check the voltage on your battery to make sure it's not low. If voltage looks good, I would start following the speakers back to the amplifier(s) to make sure all the connections are still good.
Can't you tell from the cage and the coolant lines? Take out the passenger seat and then remove the plastic pieces on the center console. That is where this is.
Any luck? Having the same issue after installing whips. My accessories post doesn’t give power to anything at all, my onx6 or my squadron sports won’t work unless connected straight to the positive
The accessory post is fused, its typically under the "hood" or wherever the fuse panel is on each machine. If my memory serves its a 40amp and its the square style. I popped mine once when my winch was frozen. However, you should definitely use more fuses to isolate each when possible, it will keep say your sound bar from blowing everything thats on the accessories post all at once should you have an issue.

It shouldn't be titled explained if you don't mention where it's located. It's an overview at best

He did mention it very quickly, the x3 has it between the seats, the regular mavericks and also the defenders typically have it up under the dash.

X3 Bus Bar is located in the middle console area , plastic will need to be removed like the video shown
Where does the accessory wire go? Does is have a fuse that can pop? I’ve lost power with key on at the accessory post
