I fell in love with this voice !
Certainly one of the best renditions of this great and difficult aria that I have ever heard, despite a minor mishap in the final high note. Her support in the low register is remarkable.
I find her rendition of Come Scoglio one of the most satisfactory among the dozens I've listened to. It's almost hard to believe this was a live performance; she's flawless, really.

One of the very few that has the full support in the chest register to do this justice. Simply fantastic, maybe her best role.

I cannot believe this voice, and in this century! Sally will be the next Kiri, if she keeps this up! She also can produce the power of singers like Angela Gheorghiu, and not make it sound fake and forced like Anna Netrebko.
Okay, she's amazing, no doubt. But what is going ON with the setting and the acting of the other characters?? Who doesn't react to getting a drink thrown on them?? Terrible choices on the director's part.
OK. I did listen to Susan's version. I did like that vey much too. I think you are a bit hard on Sally. She does have a style similar o Kiri's. You can always find someone else to compare her with. like Cecelia or Leontyne. These are very high benchmarks. As you say, the role does rather suit a mezzo.

@zuperzoprano You say there has been no improvement to her sound. that is most likely to be due to the teachers at your music college ruining her technique. I'm currently being taught by her first teacher, who gave her exactly the technique she needed. Most music colleges charge vast sums of money to ruin your voice, which is likely to be the case with Sally.
zuperzoprano- sounds like you should concentrate on your own career! she has a nice voice - she's alot younger than those posted about below x
