I will give up various upgrades in order to get a camera with an electronic viewfinder. The normal viewing screen built into the back of the camera seems to always be useless when shooting with back to the sun. I really like my Lumix LX100 because of its viewfinder and the very accessible knob that quickly allows for a manual exposure shift without having to enter the camera menu. Also, if I can't fit a camera into my pants pocket I might as well opt for something quite a bit bigger and has more capabilities. Anyway, these are just my own preferences. Thanks for the great reviews!
Zv1ii also had selfie mode and I remember the mark 1 had a feature where i could just highlight either the reds, greens, and blues which makes it more artistic plus stylised then the rest of these 😊 Don't know if the mark 2 had it probably more than likely i would say 😊 Thanks so much i think the mark 2's to go for best all rounder ❤
Loved your video and how you really kept in mind the things a consumer things of when buying this type of camera. However the canon m6 mark ii has no IBIS which does not make it a nice photo AND video camera on the go.
Hi, if I want a camera for filming videos about guitar playing, maybe both in my dorm and outside, as well as filming vlogs, which one do you recommend?
Heyy! I’m looking for a vlogging camera that’s good for landscape + up close shots, as well as low light for a lot of versatility between sets. I’m looking for a camera that’s around or below the $500 range, and I’m considering the G7X Mark III, but I really want something a bit more low budget that I can eventually upgrade from. Any recommendations?
I would personally use a r6 mk Ii or an a7IV . Great autofocus, great low light, and large frame buffer. if you wanted to use an compact then the zv1 mk Ii or mk I
Well, since you are including cameras with interchangable lens, i wonder why you didnt include the ZVE10....its pretty much a ZV1 with the sensor of the Canon M6 and non of the drawbacks...
Is it worth buying fuji x100F instead of x100v in 2023? price of x100v used are even higher than new one, but new is not available, other hand x100f used can be cheeper and will also provide good photos? or maybe it is better to choose x-t30 II ?
3:10 Dedicated processor for Autofocus ON THE SENSOR?! Come on.... thats at best a marketing thing you repeated! Also, the Autofocus is far from good on these cameras. Technically its anyways not advised to put too much technology on the sensor.... especially heat spots from processors would mess too much with the sensors performance. I personally found my "best" point and shoot camera unintentionally. I repair/clean/restore older cameras of any type and sell them, and as much flaws this particular camera also have such as missing manual mode and other quirks and downsides... a Sony DSC-W830 is my only "point and shoot" i really use. released in 2014 with a 20,1MP CCD sensor (1/2.3") and with 8x optical zoom (effective 25-200mm) and optical image stabilizer and with that small size/weight, its a charm. Since my main thing is wildlife and video and the most used lens give me 240-960mm uncropped (150-600C Sigma on Canon APS-C), the 25-200mm are complementing my EOS R7s main setups 240-960mm pretty perfect. I have "just" 2,8kg camera gear for 25-960mm uncropped, where as the AWESOME W830 Sony point and shoot costed me below 40$ and is often even the only camera i have with me.
Am from Nigeria I love filmmaking so much I want to make leaving out of it I have watch so many UA-cam tutorials and gone far but I don't have gears I use phone for practice am broke I need at least M50 canon YOU HEPLED ALOT
I really like my M50. I LOVE my m6's whether Mk 1 or 2. I use the external EVF on the m6's & do wish they a built in EVF. They would have killed with that option.
You can't find a single compact camera that has a flush lens design in most cases. The only ones that have this are very tiny sensor cameras, action, or underwater. Why is this? Why are all compact cameras designed with a protruding prime or zoom? I ask b/c many 35mm compact cameras don't have this problem and had flush primes or internal zooms. Why? I want a camera that doesn't get hung up on my bag when I pull it out. I also want it instantly ready to shoot. The best compact camera I've found that's truly a compact pocket camera is the OM TG-7 Tough camera. That's it. I love Nikon cameras for their algorithms and they just make things easy, but not even they have one on this level. Nikon has the AW130 and they tried with the KeyMission 80. They don't have raw 😤 and with those tiny sensors you need Raw.
@@TechThroughTheLens I'd buy the Nikon Coolpix A before either GR. The flash is actually functional, and has a better lens. The only thing that impresses me about the GRii, GRiii is its faster AF. Right now the only camera I've found that fits the bill is the Olympus Tough series or Nikon W300. The Olympus can still use off camera flash, has a wide angle/tele lens adapter for shooting interiors as a legitimate backup real estate camera. It's also far better for macro. The TG series is obviously tougher, completely waterproof, a full adapter suite, off camera flash capable, doesn't have an extending lens, 25-100mm internal zoom, 20fps vs 4fps, 4K video, has focus stacking, etc. Just a better overall camera. Why would anyone buy a GR over a Nikon Z30, Fuji XT30, Canon M, ZV-1F, Rx100, or Rx1 is beyond me. The GR series is a one trick pony just like the Fuji X100 series. Outside of size I don't get it. It sacrifices size over ergonomics. 🤷🏾♂️ I'd be buying a grip day one to avoid hand cramps and it'd be the same size but far less capable than the Nikon Z30 which cost is validated by its insane image quality difference and feature set.
The lens is fixed, smaller sensor. But for the most part they are great cameras. be mindful they mostly do 8 bit color for video. A compact camera is really only recommended if size is a concern. Otherwise I would get something with an apsc sensor like the canonr 50 or sony zve10 if you wanna elimate the main drawback of compact camera.
almost any camera can do. what you really need are good colors and a wide/ sharp lens. I really like the r50 the kit lens should be fine.On the higher end I personally use a canon r6 mk II with a 16mm canon lens. Or a sony a7v with a 20mm lens

Sad to know that there is no Fuji compact camera with zoom
Not since the X30, I believe.
There’s not but I do have an old one but bad quality photos it’s a F850exr

I love EOS M cameras. I hate Canon for killing off this product line.

G7x Mark 2 is very similar to the mark 3 but it’s cheaper.
Do your research

If you guys can find a second hand XE4, that is worth buying as well.
Can we pleeeease have a video on best budget compact cameras for photography ONLY ??
Good review... I want a good point and shot camera (budget ones) for taking shots of my kids (especially (portraits) and for travelling.
Which cameras would be best for comcert photogarphy and video?
I would personally use a r6 mk Ii or an a7IV . Great autofocus, great low light, and large frame buffer. if you wanted to use an compact then the zv1 mk Ii or mk I
Love the beautiful color of the ZV1 mark II : is this color an option ? Because I can't find on Sony's W-Site ?

What about the Canon SX740HS ?
I really hoped to see it in this list

sorry for late reply: The X100F is an amazing camera.
That panasonic dcx which has 30x zoom thats more appealing
What would be the best camera for car photography?
Do they have date and time stamps on photos?

hello, which non professional camera can you recommend for concert photography? particularly when you are seated far from the stage? thank you. :)
get a telephoto lens
Hey i want a camera for photography should i go for mark 2?
What's the strongest zooming Compact Camera?
Sony RX100 mk7. That thing is even more compact than any camera on this video and will zoom up to 200mm, which is insane for how small it is

Sony clearly a winner ❤
How about the ricoh gr iii
Love that camera, too niche. i deserves it own dedicated video

Hi, do any of these have a built in flash? If not, is there one you can recommend with flash?
I love the g7x mk II and mk II line up for the great built in flash. Also slightly cheaper
happy to be first
The zooms giving me headache
Sony "zed vee" is correct in English U.K. pronounciation.
Ricoh GR
X100v has a flash and nothing else compares a complete deal breaker
