Nope! If you do a vintage hair style like this correctly, you can fake it. It takes a lot of teasing, pinning, and practice, but it's an art. Check out Miss Rockabilly Ruby's work, she makes women with long hair look like they chopped six or seven inches off.

I love her! She proves that you can be a pretty girl and still be extremely smart and independent while still liking someone. It shows that you don't need to be reserved and single and average to be independent. You can be blonde, beautiful, female, and adorable, while still being an inspiration with a love interest. Most movies today only have girls that are single and independent or in a dependent relationship and dim witted

Thanks so much, I've been playing with lighting based on everyone's suggestions. I've also tried to keep the videos in warmer tones now, because many have commented that white/blue lighting is unpleasant to watch right before bed. Trying to make these better and better :)
this is such a lovely video. it's so nice to see how much youtube had evolved over the years. i remember logging on in 2007 and only watching funny cat videos. like that was my past time as a young teenager. and now i'm like "wow those pants sure are classy", while laying in my pjs on the floor. i love it ^=^

I'm a subscriber and really enjoy all of your videos. But I have to say, this one is a favorite. I think it's because you just seem so genuinely happy and authentically passionate about the clothes. hyggeofbeauty I'm a firm believer that hair color is like lipstick: you might need to find your correct shade to match your undertones, but looking good is a function of saying "eff it, I'm fabulous" and doing it anyway :)
That last dress 😱😱😱😍😍😍! So beautiful! Also, as others have said: I don't see how you were able to pin all of your hair up that securely. My hair is also very long, but it's also super thick, and I'm pretty sure it wouldn't stay near as well. Even if it did, it would look like a giant clown wig. Yours looks lovely.

you could. subscribe to estatesales.com and go to estate sales. these are where you find vintage everything at super low costs. once the sellers get to them, prices are inflated. I use to be able to find vintage at thrifts, years and years ago, but its quite impossible, unless you go to vintage stores, but they but hem for the process they get at estate sales and then hike the prices. One you go estate sales, you die of vintage happiness :)
i'm not looking for real vintage clothes though, like she said in the video you have to hand wash them and vintage replicas you can put in the washing machine, I don't even hand wash my victoria secret bras that say to hand wash them..lol
cool.... but you don't always have to hand wash all vintage stuff, and neither does it all fall apart like she implies. I've been wearing vintage clothing forever, and its all relative.

i have this beautiful 1960s/70s vintage, black, silky mini dress with an orange floral print, and every time i wear it i find a new hole in the seam and i just keep stitching them shut in denial that the dress will ever break. the lining is also frayed, faded and almost non-existent but I will not throw it out, it is too beautiful.
