- Hey friendos!! I'm hoping you will forgive the slightly imperfect sound in this one. Wait no, scratch that. I'm hoping it's not even noticeable. That's what I'm REALLY hoping. We've been having piles of snow and wind here in Toronto so it was either this, or no new upload. So I threw caution to the wind (oh god... I'm sorry) and filmed anyways. Enjoy!

When your bottom of your hair is down and the top is still curled, it's gorgeous and I would totally wear it like that, lol.
I would love a full pincurl wetset tutorial. I love vintage looks. I've found fairly good luck recently with using heat and then setting in pincurls for a few hours.

You look so like a Gainsbourg portrait or late Louis Quatorze XV, like the Versailles tv series, with your face and when your hair is down after curling it! Obviously not a slavishly authentic look, just one with the hair curling down and partly up, in combs and pearls perhaps? It would suit you so much! Thanks xxxx

yarixza mendoza I do, too but I started taking biotin and it works wonders! Take it for about a month or so, and little baby hairs start sprouting up all over your head lol

yarixza mendoza get your hands on some spirinolactone. It's a prescription drug but it made all of my hair grow back after I lost quite a bit to female pattern baldness

I lose all of mine within a week! They're difficult to keep track of, and used so often.

I have to tell you, I've been practicing hair styles on my daughter alot so we can decide on one for her wedding, and that is an amazing set, especially because you set it for yourself. So kudos and I will be trying that style next, its wonderful!

I lose Bobbi pins all the time. I just stopped looking for them and buy more. I believe that there is a Bobbi pin and elastic band elf that comes and steals mine as well. They didn't decide to grow legs and walk away so that's a reasonable explanation of this situation.

Usually that happens when the curls are too small and/ or if you don’t brush it enough. If you watch videos of vintage girls doing their hair after a wet set, they have to brush their hair for up to 30 minutes or longer to get the hair to unfrizz and become nice silky waves
Juanita Crooks I also just think it depends on the individual person’s hair type. Everyone’s different ofc. If I tried to do a wet set, it would look awful even if I brushed my hair for an hour lol. My hair is naturally frizzy and hard to work with; it’s wavy yet can’t hold a curl. I usually just end up flat ironing it or going natural. Some hairstyles just don’t work out for certain people and it’s less of a lack of skill or technique, and more of a “everyone’s different” sort of thing.

i doubt i could do anything like this on my curly hair without it turning out weirdly bumpy, but i love love love that vintage style. i prefer to not use heat on my hair if i can help it, though, so i’ll just admire from afar and create the same big, billowy look with my tight curls as they get longer (they tend to drape really nicely, which i’m thankful for!)
My hair texture is similar to yours where it just doesn't hold heat curls! I do wet sets with foam curlers and I love how the curls look so much and they last about a week! I started doing wet sets after you did the video with Leslie and I've never looked back! Hair is such a good way to express ourselves because it's the one thing we can totally customize; the color, length, and texture!
I usually dont get anything out of soft talking but for some reason im getting tingles with this tutorial
When she first took out the curls, that's what my hair used to look like. My hair is naturally curly, but once I got older it just got wavy. Natural curls are hard to maintain, but I kinda miss the look. I'll probably try this out.Thanks Alb!☺️

wendy harvey it's the tangle teaser brush, they all make a loud noise. I use mine everyday and it sounds like this!
wendy harvey We all have different triggers and certain sounds don't work for others. I can't tolerate videos ever they play with the ears. It's annoying! I prefer gentle talking or whispering. 🙂

This brush actually /can't/ rip through tangles due to the design. It's just a louder brush. Anyone who has a tangle teezer knows exactly what I mean 😅

I have Afro hair I’ll definitely be trying out the twist out moose. Btw your hair looks so healthy it’s so satisfying to watch you brush it. Great strategy to get those curls without using heat. It takes time to do, reminding of when I’m twisting my hair out for my twist outs

That looks so so gorgeous :D I tried something like that maybe a year ago for my college graduation and I have a feeling it works better with hair that is a bit damaged or bleached? The curls slipped right out of my hair after a few hours and I was back to straight hair by that evening, hairspray and mouse by damned. Thank god it was just a try run tbh.

I so loved watching this process, your voice is hypnotic and your hair is almost as beautiful as your exquisite face. Afro hair care is the best and works for all hair. I've been caring for my hair using African American techniques for years. I recently fell out of my routine and my hairs gone to crap and I've forgotten a lot of what I used to do but I totally get what you're saying.
