I'm not a fan of Sanctum content, but I can imagine that the Chronomancer is going to be very good in it... just stopping time for a few seconds will be huge.
Actually If you could apply two omens at the same time (greater exaltation and ominous exaltation) you can apply two prefixes at once without needing another omen. maybe there is also an omen of "high tier" exaltation that provides a mod with a higher tier (or a lucky roll) that would improve the greater exaltation omen alot.
I would say that probably won't happen. If you think of omens currently, only 1 will activate at a time even if you have multiples that could activate simultaneously. I feel it will be the same in POE2.
Absolutely loving the direction that they are going! One thing that will be interesting to see how it works in practice is failing a map completely blocking a path. Sounds like to me somebody that really was pushing it could end up bricking their whole atlas and not being able to progress forward so hopefully there's a way to reset the Atlas if need be
Since the Atlas is infinite I can't see that problem. GGG have a failsafe for sure where the last connection can be repeated if failed or they just de-level all encounters if bricked until you succeed.
I said it before, and I will say it again: in my book, you are the best content creator for quick news/information about the game. I know the amount of work you put in: Thank you for your work!

@sirgog The omen of greater exaltation has a higher ceiling of use cases if you can use two or more omens to influence the results of your first craft. The potential to determinately add two prefixes with one exalted orb has interesting implecations.
The POE2 access key is for giving to those who do not purchase a pack. They can redeem the key on the POE website, under Account Settings. The steam key is for accessing the game on steam if you have beta access
something i don't see people talking about, maybe because they assume (incorrectly) it's more hardcore-relevant, is that most of the chance to drop "maps" is tied to the damage-adding mods on maps. But since even softcore players lose their map when dying once, it matters to everyone that this is the case. and for those that didn't notice, it's not a small impact. a non-damage-mod map versus a 3-damage-mod-map is a difference of about a 3x multiplier to the number of maps dropping. i doubt you'll be able to sustain high tier maps running anything under at least 2-damage-mod maps. starting a league, going to red maps ASAP and expecting to just "roll them easy for atlas completion" is probably completely dead. or at least, i expect that's what GGG would target.
no when you buy something from GGG they send a message in game saying thanks and list the amount spent there. View message sent from ggg and add them up that way

We don't necessarily get a key do we just automatically get access because we purchased the pack on Dec 6 or do we need a special key like PC players? I ask this because when I check "my account" on the Poe website and go to Poe2 early access section in "my account" it tells me I don't have access to Poe 2 to purchase a pack or bribe a friend to gain access is this because I'm not playing on PC and that is designed for the PC players to know if they have access keep in mind I did buy the 100 dollar support pack the faridun one. Im really looking forward to PoE2. The new endgame actually looks like a ton of fun, The towers reminds me of older sextants but in a more random and fair way.
The biggest deal is propably return of prefix-suffix crafting through omens. Crafting with 2 div bench "lock" mods sucks ass. Especially if it involves RNG unveil with insanely expensive veiled orbs. I'm sure there will be ways to perfect your items and sink "POE billionaires" currency into them, but rudimentary crafting system seems way more approachable to new playrers or even older players that don't have a PhD from POE crafting (which is required to craft your stuff without a youtube guide how to do it) Not sure how I feel about tablets. These seem to be replacements of scarabs and rolling them with alts will mean that they will clutter your stash tabs and won't be easily buyable in bulk. And there seems to be a lot of micromanagement with these pillars etc. Well, we'll see. This is Early Access after all, this is all subject to change if it feels asinine. I like that they're trying to make a different system instead of just copying atlas and tree from POE1. POE1 will still be there.
glass cannon is gonna require a lot more skillful play, so it will be good but only at high level play, and even then we probably won't see builds that just don't use res early in order to push damage.
Im not sure of they answered this but... If you fail a map then it goes red and you cannot path through it anymore. Does this mean that you can technically brick your entire atlas if you fail enough maps and can no longer path ANYWHERE??? Edit: You can see it in the video "Path of Exile 2: Endgame Content Reveal" on PoEs own UA-cam channel at about 48:10. He says "if you die then the map can no longer be run and you will have to find another way around to get to the areas behind it"

I also thought of,that when watching the reveal. I’m sure if they haven’t thought of it already, they’ll figure out a fix for it once someone encounters it.
I believe it was said in the QnA (might be wrong, but it was definitely said somewhere) that there is a failsafe for that kind of situation. I'd assume it re-opens one you already failed with some sort of penalty? Who knows though.
Explaining things to POE2 players is going to be baffling in 5 years. I'm just imaging trying to explain who the king of the mists is years down the road. I look forward to the lengthy youtube videos outlining the roots of popular POE2 bosses in a decade.
Ah yes, I was so happy to hear that I wouldn’t have to do the Lab, which is almost always my least enjoyable part of levelling. To hear that they’re replacing it with things akin to Sanctum and Ultimatum, which are probably my least favourite parts of endgame, is utterly disappointing.
And a couple of the most extreme Valdo maps can be said to be a step up from 65530 depth Delve. I believe there's at least one that has not been cleared (the 100% deli, area becomes fatal, union of souls, 10% less damage per equipped item Desert Spring map, can't remember its other mods). Even builds that delete HP cap Delve bosses in seconds can't do enough damage to beat the enrage timer on that one.
I can already tell that I will not like the dodging and blocking mechanics. Everything else looked pretty good though! Mercenary class seemed like it shot nerf balls though
If every map on Atlas is sealed after you complete or fail it - I don't like it. The need to constantly move on and impossibility to focus on something you really like turns me off. What's the point of overlapping buff towers if you can't grind thoroughly.
artwork perfect nailed sound great gameplay dodge/roll ok not a fan endgame showed how it works and I can always make a macro if stuff needs several skills to kill bosses The visual side with immersion and experience looks spot on also. d4 bad btw in every aspect
Endgame being like Delve is something I didn't see coming. I noticed a lot of FPS lag on the witch summoner footage, which is likely why they haven't been showing it.
It feels so weird to see all of this coming to fruition while Blizzard is now a mere shadow of what it once was. After all, Path of Exile and other ARPG would not be what they are today if not for what Blizzard once was.
Love everything about this but the map denial on death mechanic. I can almost guarantee that this will be nerfed or completely removed by the time EA ends.
I'm the opposite. I love that death actually has consequence. The XP penalty in PoE 1 is an outdated punishment and then at level 100 you have no penalty at all, which is just weird in my opinion. There is no winning if there is no losing but I want something between losing my entire character (HC) and it meaning almost nothing (XP penalty that only really hurts anyone in the level 96-99 range, which again, is just a weirdly specific range of players to be effected by a baseline mechanic).
Oh I love the idea that you fail a map on death. What I dislike is the idea that once you fail, that node and all the nodes beyond are forever locked out (unless you find an alternate winding path). I feel one life per map is a good middle ground.
@@Kyoth3 Ah I see what you're saying yeah. I'd like to believe it's the kind of system they've thought a lot about and probably even changed multiple times before the EA version that we're seeing. At least there are options to lessen it as you outline though.
Sorry in advance i need to vent. These people on redit are still unhappy with the EA acording to a friend who still goes there. Im super hyped to explore PoE 2 Fnaly something that is not solved in advance
The people on reddit are just disembodied voices talking in the void of the Internet, they can't decide what's fun or not for you ! Personally I'll try to go in SSF and blind for my first character, only spoiling myself on the ascendancies and skills to decide on a general build path
Ultimatum is there as an alternative. IMO games that allow trade die if they can't control bot cheaters (not now, but once EA ends and the game is free), and having unbottable content be nearly mandatory for progression is essential to purge the bot cheaters.
Hmm, not sure about this no deaths in any map plan. In PoE1 I basically dislike every single mechanic that tries to make the softcore version of the game more hardcore-esque (lab, heist, etc.) as the game is just so full of rippy nonsense.
still cant get into POE2 just alot of the changes dont sound that fun compared to poe1 having played it at gamescom I wasnt impressed. It all feels like less and less of what made POE1 gearet and more and more mainstrem casual player mush. To those that say "then just dont play it" well they put poe1 on minimum maintinance till poe2 is done so I guess I'll just have to try the beta and see if they can change my mind, honestly would love to love POE2 just cant at the moment. So I'll just do as Ziz dose and not look at it as POE but something new all togehter.
That's a big 'wait and see'. They did only specify that yku cannot go back in to a map if you die. That leaves some possibility they are able to be ran again.

@@sirgog Yeah I don't know about that. First they promised 6 skills and now it seems like we will be using 1 the same as we did in PoE 1. And if you will have 3-4 minion skills then what will you put 20 different support games? I don't see it! Maybe if the number was 2-3 then sure. But 1? This killed all the hype for me.
Sometimes it feels like GGG is making PoE2 just for me. Left out mechanics I don't like. Integrated my favorites into the core gameplay. Meaningful combat -- progressive crafting -- brutal difficulty -- rich progression system. It's like they know what I want more than I do.

Sad days. I’m on Mac and doesn’t seem like it’ll work for Poe 2 for a Long time. Poe 1 barely works on Mac already
I can already tell that I will not like the dodging and blocking mechanics. Everything else looked pretty good though! Mercenary class seemed like it shot nerf balls though
As nice as some of this looks, I'm still worried that the mercenary and wasd movement seem built around controller over kb/m. Atlas sure is purdy tho.
If every map on Atlas is sealed after you complete or fail it - I don't like it. The need to constantly move on and impossibility to focus on something you really like turns me off. What's the point of overlapping buff towers if you can't grind thoroughly.
They probably remove that feature after a while or add a currency to unlock lost maps
All that was said was it being locked when you die, let's wait for it to get into our hands before making big assumptions
You're my idol sir gog !
Soooo no swords in early acces?
We haven't seen all the recommended skills yet.
Witch got a big glow-up for sure.
artwork perfect nailed
sound great
gameplay dodge/roll ok not a fan
endgame showed how it works and I can always make a macro if stuff needs several skills to kill bosses
The visual side with immersion and experience looks spot on also.
d4 bad btw in every aspect
Endgame being like Delve is something I didn't see coming. I noticed a lot of FPS lag on the witch summoner footage, which is likely why they haven't been showing it.
I've seen so many ppl obsessed about endgame 'speed' Lol it felt dramaticomical
I hope the fight with Zana is more like a japanese dating sim. Fingers crossed
Thanks
Tell me they sent you that puzzle box now bro!
It feels so weird to see all of this coming to fruition while Blizzard is now a mere shadow of what it once was. After all, Path of Exile and other ARPG would not be what they are today if not for what Blizzard once was.

TWO
discussion.
Play HC and you'll never be denied access to a map
Sorry in advance i need to vent.
These people on redit are still unhappy with the EA acording to a friend who still goes there.
Im super hyped to explore PoE 2
Fnaly something that is not solved in advance
The people on reddit are just disembodied voices talking in the void of the Internet, they can't decide what's fun or not for you ! Personally I'll try to go in SSF and blind for my first character, only spoiling myself on the ascendancies and skills to decide on a general build path
Do you mean the pitch black armor? cause black armor is not very subtle: ua-cam.com/video/VVn8TL2GV8I/v-deo.html
Please Uber Zana, be a thing!
I definitely wont be playing PoE 2 as long as it's sanctum for trials. I HATE sanctum.
In PoE1 I basically dislike every single mechanic that tries to make the softcore version of the game more hardcore-esque (lab, heist, etc.) as the game is just so full of rippy nonsense.
logout macro in softcore
still cant get into POE2 just alot of the changes dont sound that fun compared to poe1 having played it at gamescom I wasnt impressed.
I'm not sure you can run the same map multiple times so maybe you can't do just one region for a long time...
That's a big 'wait and see'. They did only specify that yku cannot go back in to a map if you die. That leaves some possibility they are able to be ran again.
have this message on Path of Exile 2 Early Access
Early Access
Your account does not have access to Path of Exile 2 Early Access. Bribe a friend who has a spare key or purchase now.
but l spend like 1000$+ from 2013 on the game so what is up?
They haven't started sending out keys yet. It will happen over the next 2 weeks.
🍺
They basically copied last epochs endgame no? Lol
I don't know man, 1 support gem per character??!! Good luck making a build. They F UP WITH THAT !!! BIG TIME!!!
This is intended to stop builds all being the same. I want to play with it as is - 1 may not be the right number, but I think the idea is good.
@@sirgog Yeah I don't know about that. First they promised 6 skills and now it seems like we will be using 1 the same as we did in PoE 1. I really don't get it, imagine minion build, you obviously will want increased minion damage for all of your minions but you can't.
Im still nervous about it looking like everything will be balanced around so many different skills used for combos. I just want 1 or 2 skills and relax.
Wouldn’t you be better off playing an idle gacha game, watching movies on Netflix, or pulling a lever at a casino (one button or lever pulled and many flashy lights)? There is also POE 1 which will keep pumping out new content.
