Why is cocaine illegal? There is only one place to grow it and one organization controlling production in that region. (South America). It would instantly legitimize people that should never be legitimized. Because corporate profit is something that is so often used as an excuse for human atrocities, that is the one thing I would fear with cocaine drug legalization. But. It's a catch 22 because as long as they are kept illegal, those illicit organization will continue to control it. And as an American viewing international stuff from the comfort of my house, I really don't know what to believe all the time. Misinformation and propaganda is everywhere and I know the DEA/FDA would have no problems delegitimizing something just to keep their own profits. I see it done all the time with russian drugs.
